Pizzeria La Perla in Basel

Basically, the food is fresh, quickly prepared and great value for money. However, you should definitely make a reservation and ask for a table by the window. Since it is a small dining room, the ambience is too hectic to eat comfortably, especially if you sit in the middle. UberEats and JustEat couriers passing by literally squeeze guests onto the tables. Staff otherwise very friendly.

The service is first class and the atmosphere is simply magical. I would particularly like to commend Tony for his exceptional attention to detail and hospitality. Small but nice. Very good selection of music which wasn't intrusive even while eating. All dishes come with a salad with very good sauce and pizza rolls. We ordered pizza which was very good. Excellent dough. We found the place using the Google Map rating and it was worth it. What could still be improved is the chili sauce. It could be sharper. Try it with habanero.

Absolutely super super delicious pizza (I had one with salciccia, burrata & truffle oil)! Head waiter really on the ball, friendly and one of the fastest I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Cold beer and pleasant fellow guests, wonderful. Warmest recommendation!

It's my first time in Basel. The pizzeria on the corner was so nice. You should definitely try it, especially the Calabrese pizza be linguine con gamberoni, cipolle, datterini e basilico

La Perla is a charming, genuine Italian restaurant well worth a visit. The clear menu, freshly prepared and hot dishes as well as the delicious Neapolitan-style pizza make the visit a pleasure. The staff is extremely attentive and friendly, accommodating special requests and even serving free shots. The prices are fair and make La Perla a real insider tip for all lovers of Italian cuisine.

Unreliable! Pizzas ordered were not delivered even though the delivery address was provided correctly. Delivery apparently failed. I have not received a call or email from the supplier as to why the order was not delivered.

Small but very fine Italian restaurant in Kleinbasel with excellent cuisine! Fair prices, very nice service and one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten! And as an aperitif, you get super delicious olives and delicious pizza rolls for free. Clear recommendation!

The bread was super tasty!! Pizza was good although a bit soggy & I found a hair inside one of the portions. The service was very nice especially when speaking Italian at the end. Prices are reasonable. Some waiters don't speak English but the owner (I think) does and he's very nice!

Pasta and pizza gluten-free, you have to look for it for a long time! A great Italian restaurant right near the trade fair. Restaurant that also serves steaks. Very nice people there and incredibly tasty. The wine was good (Chadonay) Pizza with a thick crust heart what more could you want. Gladly again!

Positive point, the pizza was very good! Negative mista salad was a green salad with some cucumber! And the desserts are much too sweet (panna cota with strawberry jam 🍓 and the semifrego with pistachio for 18frs, very disappointing, cream bomb, just with a few pieces of strawberries.... No crunch! Too bad!)

This should not have been the aim of our last evening in Basel and, yet, what a great idea! A nice surprise! One of the best pizzas we ate in Basel. Wow is wonderful!!! Who knows in Switzerland very difficult to find place with good food and perfect service. In this place u can find good Italian food and pizza 🤤🤤 also was big surprise that here works professional and originally Italian cook 👨‍🍳 now is my favorite in Basel

Overall excellent experience! We tried 2 different pizzas—both were delicious. The toppings were the highest quality and the dough was perfectly cooked. The wine list has some great options, too. Highly recommended.

Have been here twice because the quality and price of the food is good. Last Friday we made a reservation by phone, which was quite a challenge (comprehension of the German language). In fact, the reservation was not accepted and we were left empty-handed the following day. We moved on disappointed. At first this restaurant was written off for us, but maybe we'll give it another chance.

Warm place, welcoming team, tasty meal

On a week day at 13:00 there were 4 tables occupied and 3 staff (2 in service and 1 in the kitchen). We both ordered a glass of wine, a Risotto porcini and a pizza Frutti di mare. Two green salads were included with our order. If you now look at the photos you will see what the food was like, and this also reflected the type of service we received. When we got over the shock of the drowned iceberg salad, our main courses were served but the wine was forgotten. We gave the salads back. I needed a magnifying glass to find the sea food. If you look at other pictures of Frutti di Mare on the internet you will see what I mean. The risotto was ok but not worth the price. A bit wet but not creamy. In the end we had to catch the waiter’s attention so we could pay. Generally very disappointed.

Small but fine pizzeria with an extensive menu near Claraplatz. The Bufalina pizza we ordered was great. Lunch menus available, a pizza menu with salad costs 22 francs. Rather cheap. Gladly again.
