Extremely friendly and generous service! The atmosphere is great, the drinks and food are great. We would like to come again!

A beautiful place on the banks of the Rhine River. It is operated as self-service. If you get cold, there is a hot water bottle inside. We rested with the sounds of birds. It can be a little difficult to find a place on the weekend. Food is usually accompanied by alcohol.

You drink your drink or your wine 🍷 overlooking the river, almost next to it. The staff is polite and very friendly. Simple decoration reminds you of a shop from a Greek island 🏝️. He gave us a complete picture of Basel!!! And yes we will visit again!!

A beautiful place with really good vibes! These are not only created by the relaxed and lovingly designed atmosphere, but also by the consistently super-friendly staff. The drinks on offer, the homemade cake (both sweet and salty), the pretzels - all great quality! There are several delicious varieties of organic wine. In the evenings, magical lights are placed on the tables and you can dream of the sky and the river...

A cool restaurant in a great location on the Rhine in Glaibasel. The boss is extremely friendly and helpful, as are all the other employees and helpers. The specialties are very good and the view is fantastic.

Drinks are many and inexpensive, I recommend Sanddornspritz, excellent place next to the Rhine. Unfortunately the food is limited for snacks.

Totally relaxed right on the Rhine. Reservation worked without any problems, there was even a tablecloth…

Friendly, warm staff who take great care of the guests' well-being. Good desserts are also part of the program, as is a small but well-chosen selection of different beers.

Nice little outdoor venue by the Rhine

I really used to like this place. Last week paid with a 100-franc note for a couple of beers and ice cream and got back a stack of folded notes, among the notes was an invalid (old) 10-franc note. I did not immediately check the notes after paying, but it seems unlikely to me that the staff did not recognise this themselves.

Simple little bistro right on the banks of the Rhine with a great view of the old town and the cathedral. Self-service. Cheap by Swiss standards. Great atmosphere when you sit in front of the bistro in the “garden”. We will be back!

Full prices for more or less improvised seating and self-service. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a SAC hut. Only the location when the weather is nice is recommended. Then it's nice on the banks of the Rhine... and maybe even more comfortable. Sorry 😕

A little relaxation by the lake

The Bistro Pulpo is a cozy and totally inviting place on the beautiful Rhine promenade near Lindenberg in Kleinbasel. Very friendly staff and the food is homemade and prepared with a lot of love. A little oasis of peace and if you're lucky, a live band plays with good music.

The terrace is pretty nice, but the food is inedible. All frozen products that are then baked in a dirty oven. When you're standing in line, it tastes so strongly of food that when you come out your clothes still smell like it. I'm definitely not coming anymore.

Went here to spend new year's eve. The location is exactly by the river with great vibes and community atmosphere. We only orderrd drinks, price is very reasonable. Friendly staffs.

Small local bar at beautiful position on sunny riverside of Rhein in mid of Basel city. Perfect position at opposite side of Munster, friendly people, excelent snacks and local ueli beer. Absolutely recommended.

We stopped for a drink. Nothing special, and were not that great..it’s hard to mix badly an aperol The place is overseeing the Rhine with a laidback atmosphere. It’s not a buvette, but it’s also not much more, and there’s no table service.

Nice bar on the banks of the Rhine. Very quiet and pleasant place. In case of large crowds, it is a good idea to plan for a long waiting time in front of the counter. (Self-service)

Nice simple coffee with seats on the banks of the Rhine and some against the house wall. Interesting chats during a walk and perhaps after a visit to the cathedral (the church on the Grossbasel side) with the Leu "name of the Rhine ferry" across the river.

So friendly! We spontaneously decided on a mulled wine during our walk in the evening, the table was moved closer to the Rhine at the suggestion of the nice waiter and he brought us extra fur and blankets for the chairs 🤩 We'll be happy to come back!

Very nice place with small tables right on the banks of the Rhine. Very friendly operator. There was fresh, regional apple juice from the wine balloon and delicious tarte flambée at affordable prices.

Serve even down to the water in the Canadian. Super warm.

Such a lied back and cool bar, so unique in its simplicity and sharm... Very good value given in Basel and the superb location along the Rhein and in front of the cathedral.

Schlechte. 5% aperol für Farbe geben. 95% wine. Nach halb Glas bin Schon betrunken. Geht nicht. Sparen aperol und geben nur Wein. Besser hier nicht kommen. Kost: 10 CHF.

Wir haben nur ein Pop-up Bar erwartet, jedoch wurden wir sehr positiv überrascht! Grosse Kaffee-, Getränke- und Speisenauswahl. Alles sieht sehr frisch aus und wir hatten Glück und haben einen kleinen Tisch mit Rheinsicht erwischt. Gerne wieder!
