Quintino - Restaurant du Théâtre de Beaulieu in Lausanne

This is clearly my favorite restaurant. Everything is perfect, the atmosphere is cozy, the music is not too loud which gives free rein to discussions, the waitresses and waiters are very attentive and the cuisine is a pure pleasure for the palate, all accompanied by exceptional wines. I have never been disappointed and have always had a great time. I recommend!

For those who want to eat a real pizza made with passion by a pizza chef who knows the subtle art of pizza! We had a Calabrese pizza and a Terra del Sole and I can assure you that you will feel like you are in Italy! The dough is Roman type and the ingredients are of very good quality, we feel that the new pizza maker has a lot of experience! Excellent Italian restaurant next to the Beaulieu Theater. Their delicious dish proposals. There are vegetarian options. We celebrated our son's birthday and he loved the dessert and the detail of his glowing candle. The atmosphere is very friendly, very elegant and beautiful decoration. The service is very fast and they always have a smile to give you. Its terrace is excellent for the summer, although there is noise because it is on the main street of Beaulieu. If that's not a problem for you, that's great.

Risotto and pasta served practically cold and on flat plates! Good meat but very (too) expensive wines and not at all balanced quality-price aspect (prices too high compared to the services provided). Service unfortunately not up to par even if the staff is very nice. In summary...we are very disappointed!

Ideal location for a meal before going to the Beaulieu theater. Good welcome and warm surroundings. Despite a few downsides, notably burnt dough for an excellent pizza, expensive and unremarkable wine. The service lacks coordination, hence the slowness of staff obligations. Eggplant lasagna, refined starter. Free limoncello, nice gesture...Thank you.

It's a good restaurant, the dishes are very good. On the other hand, I find the prices excessively high, the quality-price ratio is bad in my opinion. The service is ok without being great and the restaurant is very large with many tables, a bit industrial atmosphere. Although I enjoyed the dishes that were offered to me, I do not recommend this restaurant. Other Italian restaurants offer dishes of equal quality, for a much lower price and an intimate atmosphere with friendly service. Special mention to the cocktails which are very sought after and excellent! Count 95.- per person for starter/main course/dessert with a cocktail and a glass of wine per person.

The setting is nice, but the menu is not very healthy, as real Italian cuisine should be. The choice is certainly vast for pasta dishes, in addition to traditional pizzas, but there is a lack of vegetables or meat or fish dishes at affordable prices. Some dishes are downright overpriced, and I don't recommend their Piedmontese tartare... it's probably because of it that I got sick the next day. For those who pay attention to their figure and their budget, there are other addresses.

The restaurant is charming, with affordable prices. However, the experience with servers can vary, with some being very cheerful while others less pleasant. Our table near the pizza oven allowed us to see that the slow service was due to the pizza chef being busy. The staff seemed overwhelmed, creating some tension between them. Despite this, the decoration of the place is really successful. The price is right and there are dishes for vegetarians and those with gluten intolerance

The service is excellent, the atmosphere great. Their cocktails are incredible in terms of taste and presentation. Before receiving our starter, we had olives and an excellent cheese dish. On the other hand, when it comes to choosing dishes, it's complicated and none of them really appeal to me. In the end we took things at random and they didn't have much taste. Same for the main course, we had truffle and parmesan pasta, certainly the pieces of truffle are good but the taste is so weak that only one person at our table managed to taste it. Okay, truffle oil is less classy but at least we smell something. Parmesant was also anecdotal. One of the people had gluten-free pasta, the sauce was excellent but the pasta tasted terrible. The desserts were ok compared to the main courses. We potentially didn't have the "good" dishes, to try again if the opportunity arises!

Very practical restaurant if you go to Beaulieu. Italian dishes are particularly good! It's a large brasserie type structure but the atmosphere is pleasant. The evening we were there the service was just a little slow. Overall a good culinary experience and a good atmosphere!

We were in this restaurant yesterday. Warm, smiling and professional welcome. The service was impeccable. The perfect cuisine (especially the fresh homemade pasta)... the desserts are not left out. I highly recommend it

Warm welcome and impeccably kept place. Top notch service. On the other hand, as a starter we had a duo of tartares but it arrived in the form of a duo of carpaccios. Weird. The pasta and risotto dishes were excellent! On the other hand, the prices are exorbitant even though the restaurant is not starred or otherwise. We got it for 145CHF for 3 with 1 shared starter and 3 main courses and 1 gourmet coffee, all without alcohol.

Home atmosphere and cuisine, quality price, I recommend it

We had lunch on Friday 25 August 2023. I was positively surprised by the environment, the friendliness, the service and above all the food. The prices are appropriate for the type of restaurant as well as the cost of living in Switzerland (a note to those who wrote in the review that "it's too expensive"... "expensive compared to what?". I'm a rather fussy person and I was initially also I was skeptical, but I had to change my mind. The manager was very kind and impeccable. He also recommended a fantastic still white wine from Calabria!!! Thank you for the "tasty" experience. Congratulations and see you soon!

Even if the Quintino is not exactly the cheapest restaurant, the price-performance ratio is completely right because the guest gets top quality and sufficient quantity on his plate. If you would like to drink a good cocktail, this is definitely the right place for you. The only deduction for the somewhat cool ambience.

An establishment where you are sure to be very well received. I come regularly now because the team is very professional and super friendly. The place is one of the most pleasant in the region in the broad sense because it has a sophisticated decoration and we see that the owner has put the means into it. The map is great. All regions of Italy are present. The choice is vast. There are many dishes that are never presented in so-called Italian restaurants outside Italy. It is therefore an opportunity to taste rare dishes. The Quintino is way out of the ordinary. Extremely good. Everything was perfect. From the welcome to the decoration on the plate and within the restaurant to the quality of the food. We really enjoyed ourselves. The team and in particular the Greek waiter and a waitress (of Italian origin I imagine but that won't help much because I think the whole team is of Italian origin 😂) who replaced her Greek colleague at the end of his service were absolutely perfect. Which is very rare since this covid affair… I also put an opinion to this effect on Trip advisor too. I therefore thank the Chef for his dishes, many of which cannot be found - I repeat myself but it is important - in ordinary Italian establishments. Yes, the Quintino is an establishment apart. Top notch restaurant! The prices are affordable and the staff is very welcoming. The atmosphere is really nice! We called quite late on a Friday evening (when the kitchen closed) to find out if it was still possible to come and eat. Given the time, the staff offered to order remotely and come directly to eat. So we didn't even wait to eat when we arrived, our dishes were already ready! I didn't even think that was possible, but they were very accommodating. I recommend this very nice restaurant!

We came for an evening dinner for two. The place is very beautiful but I had the feeling that our arrival was not expected despite the reservation on the mezzanine… we were told that we could sit wherever we wanted… following this, the waiter was not very friendly and dragging his feet, not very pleasant, took the order all of a sudden without asking us if we wanted an aperitif while we were choosing. We took a starter and a main course and had to wait more than an hour between the starter and the main course, priority had clearly been given to the larger tables, no attention paid to us, he did not We were offered something to drink once our drinks were finished and no one came to clear our empty plates… so no offer of desserts and coffees, not very salesy. The food was very good but unfortunately there is much better to do for the customer experience and also increase the bill for your business.

Excellent! Very beautiful restaurant, well appointed with attentive staff. The cocktails are excellent, especially their specials. The fresh pasta is simply succulent and of course cooked to perfection. Having also tasted the bocconcini di agnello on the menu this month, I can only recommend their meat dishes. The lamb melts in your mouth and the combination with the accompanying sauce and the vegetables is perfectly mastered. With this we can highlight the excellent wine list. Finally, my choice fell on the cannoli. The presentation was perfect, the portion size as well. The only downside; the sugar too present in this dessert, masking the delicate flavors of the ingredients used. Despite everything, we will come back, I am convinced of it!

The dish I ordered was not something sophisticated so I couldn't rate it much on that side, which invites me to return soon. The wine from the region that we tried was a success. We had lunch in this restaurant on a Sunday, the restaurant was full and I understand why! The food was delicious, with fresh, high quality ingredients. Very friendly waiters, it smells like pizza as soon as you enter. Small downside on the service, the waiters are really very nice, but we ordered tea, served in a coffee cup: there was very little water, when asking to add more they brought a small jug with some hot water, explaining to us that they did not have tea cups => the initiative could have come upstream instead of serving "half a tea". Quickly forgotten, I will happily return!
