Raclette Stube in Zürich

Cute small place with small menu featuring cheese fondues. Per person you need to either : get one main dish, OR get two starters. So we ended up getting one serving of fondue from main menu and salad and sausage cut from the starters. Overall good experience I just did not feel like getting two starter hence 4 stars.

Good raclette and good fondue. The children's wishes were very well taken into account and, if it fits, we can recommend the bedside tables, especially moiti moitié (mousse au chocolat and meringue)

A cozy cheese fondue restaurant. The service was excellent and the waitress was kind and helpful. The half and half fondue and the house wine were delicious. I would highly recommend getting a reservation since this spot was very busy even on a Tuesday evening. It was easy to make the reservation on their website. The inside of the store is not very large. The clerk was bright and very kind. I wasn't very hungry, so I ordered a cheese fondue for one person and a salad since they only serve one order. I ordered something without alcohol. The garlic was strong and the potatoes were delicious even with the bread. They happily accepted refills.

Using their website to arrange a reservation, I had to put in my credit card number only to get the message there no seats available 🥲

I just have dinner over there. It is very cozy and small restaurant. The raclette is..... WOW.... the best I have ever tried. We ordered unlimited raclette, a bottle of wine, 2 bottle of water and desserts (4 people). I dont really remember how much we paid because it has been already 2 hours, I think was around 280-300CHF, lets say 70 for person for eating until you are full. Was very cheap for zurich standard and quality, I am going to explode, oh God, how good was that raclette was..... not better than the waiter of course, I felt in love with the one bringing me the raclette, she knew everything just when I looked at her!!!

After I happened to see a post about this restaurant somewhere, I really wanted to try original Swiss fondue and raclette - not the “Germanized” version here. We were not disappointed: the restaurant has a quaint, cozy atmosphere, super nice service and the food is fantastic. The menu fits on one page, but that's part of it. There aren't many places, so make sure you reserve. Unfortunately it's not a cheap pleasure in terms of price, but the restaurant can't do anything about that, and ultimately applies to the whole of Zurich and Switzerland. If there is another opportunity at some point, I will definitely come back.

Delicious fondue and welcoming staff. We ordered the fondue for two, salad, chocolate mousse, and the citrus salad. Everything was divine! DEFINITELY make a reservation though. You won't get a seat in this cozy place just by walking up! The online reservation tool worked very well and our table was ready exactly on time.

Let's start with the reception. As a tourist, it is sometimes very pleasant to be warmly welcomed, especially when you feel the desire to visit "à Priori", a famous place. The young (dark-haired) waitress who received us was slightly haughty. Unlike his other colleague (blonde), more respectful and smiling with customers. Let's move on to the dishes, and this is a very big minus. What a shock when we were served raclette without cold meats. What can we say about the condiments, they looked like they had been soaking in vinegar for years. Not to mention the taste... Really not that of a natural pickle. Cheese: Big question.... Then amazement. We are brought a plate with a "melted cheese pancake", quite small, easy to finish in two minutes with two potatoes. You have to wait five minutes for the chance to be revived. Since we change the plate for you every time (Long live the dishes). “All you can eat” does not mean that you are the one who chooses to refill your food. It's not the friendly, independent spirit of eating raclette. The taste of the cheese is correct but far from the standard of a truly good raclette. The potatoes are pretty decent. But they cool quickly, with the waiting time between dishes. We were not served bread. For the modest sum of 39.80 Swiss francs, for 4 plates of cheese, it's as if you paid €10 for the plate. This is clearly incorrect. When it was time for the bill, the waitress brought us the bill asking "how much do you tip", which is incorrect to force people. The meal didn't last thirty minutes, since that clearly makes you want to leave the place. Conclusion: Be careful, “Tourist catch”, I do not recommend. Come and eat raclette, in France, you will not be disappointed by the service and the quantity, nor the value for money

The service was phenomenal, but overall, it's not nearly the best cheese fondue in Zürich. The cheese is okay, but the sides are sadly the biggest weakness. Still, it's melted cheese, so if you're hungry, it will be good.

Best fondue we had on our trip to Switzerland. The place is small dark and cozy. The food is delicious and it was a recommendation from locals. The restaurant was able to kindly accommodate us on a busy Friday night without a reservation. I highly recommend.

Very small but equally welcoming place, as soon as you enter the first thing you notice is definitely the strong smell of cheese. We had dinner for two and had a fondue for two accompanied with potatoes and bread and a still water, in total we spent 67.10 CHF and considering the prices here and the particularity of the food in my opinion it is an excellent price.

This is NOT authentic AT ALL. Moitié moitié is not fribourgeois…. And the vacherin fondue tasted and felt nothing like vacherin in the consistency. We were a big group of Swiss people and this is clearly a tourist trap. The consistency of the moitié moitié was separating. The portions were not generous at all. The meringues are from coop and the amount of cream is embarrassing for that price.

Fondue delicious. Already we knew it's pricey, so nothing surprised us. We took fondue which they gave with bread pieces & boiled baby potatoes. We also ordered pickled vegetables. They gave us 400 gm cheese fondue as it was for two persons.

Great service, the waitress is very attentive. Check with each course whether there are enough side dishes and the raclette replenishment is also very quick. Space is very limited. A reservation is definitely worth it.

Speaking of Switzerland, cheese fondue🫕 There were two types of cheese to choose from and it was even more delicious than I expected. I was very satisfied with the bread, potatoes, and prosciutto.

Raclette is available at your discretion... d. H. Plate service. A Raclette Öfeli would definitely be more pleasant and cozy... But cheese isn't much more than 0815... The price is definitely too high for that. A pity. However, the service was prompt (and friendly), probably because you have to clear the table after 1.5 hours. Location very narrow and loud. Rustic atmosphere. Poor ventilation. Comfortable is different... Would probably not come back.

Typical place for a Swiss fondue. Quite authentic/rustic on the inside. Menu is short and to the point (main alternative would be a racketeer) and prices are reasonable for Zurich. Fondue was good and comes with potatoes and bread - will fill you enough. We ordered a side cold dish platter, which was ok, nothing special. On the cons side, we had booked for 3 people and we were sat in a table for 2.

Best fondue I’ve ever had! And as American, I’ve never had potatoes with my fondue. And I really enjoyed it. They were soft and buttery. Highly recommend!

The place to be … for an all you can eat Raclette !

Neither fu nor fa. We ordered a raclette plate, a sausage plate and a fondue. The truth is that it is quite good but you could eat the same thing in any restaurant. We paid 67 CHF. What leaves a lot to be desired is the service and the fact that the tables are very close together since it is a very small place. Good but I wouldn't go back.

The two of us ordered one of the half-and-half fondue and one all-you-can-eat raclette - this was a great recommendation by another reviewer! It came with bread and potatoes as well as pickles and picked onions. Simply delicious! Both the fondue and raclette were yummy but we would give the edge to the raclette. Each plate of raclette came with melting browned cheese on a slice of bread - perfection! The wine was also good and reasonably priced. All in all a great Swiss meal in Zurich if you’re craving for fondue and raclette! Do make reservations for dinner - it was fully packed. Or get to the restaurant at opening time to grab a table for early dinner.

Very nicely decorated. Small, few tables, so you should reserve. The fondue and also raclette taste very tasty. The staff is very nice, but sometimes they are a bit overwhelmed with the raclette a discretion. All in all recommended.

The fondue tasted really good. I propose to make a reservation prior to your arrival, as we got there around 7.30pm and we were waiting for more of a half an hour. The blonde waitress was really pleasant. However, due to the cheese, the place smells like vomit. They offer you a piece of chocolate at the end.

A friend wanted to visit after seeing the restaurant feature on a TV programme. The day we arrived without reservation there were a few diners eating and lots of empty tables and seats. Our host had to go to the back of the dining area to a women behind a barrier to ask if we could be allowed in to dine! That should have been the first red flag. We were allowed in but the atmosphere was one of which it is a local restaurant for local residents and not tourists. It had a vibe of mafioso, not welcoming. The food was edible but the menu is super restrictive. The beer was nice!

we didn't made a reservation and it was crowded on the night of visit. however, we are greeted warmly by the reception knowing we are tourist and tries to give us a table despite being full housed. we landed sharing a table with another couple which we are fine with since it's on us for not knowing reservations are highly encourage. lovely fondue though on the saltier side. good effort and shout out to the lady who found us a table. appreciate it

The place is quite small and closed. The attention was very nice. We went with very high expectations about the food and it didn't meet it 100% but it was very acceptable. Regarding prices, well, normal for everything in Switzerland.

Simply delicious! We found what we were looking for here when we were looking for raclette and fondue. Luckily, there are restaurants that offer both. We didn't have a reservation, but we were there just after 6 p.m. and were able to get a table until 7 p.m. Although I had doubts as to whether it would all work out in time (I wanted more than one plate of raclette), the team was extremely on the ball and I was more than full by 7 p.m. :) Both raclette and fondue were very tasty and highly recommended. If you don't know your way around, everyone will be given friendly help and good recommendations. The restaurant is super, super small and you sit very comfortably, even with your neighbor, but the service and food take that into the background. Clear recommendation, but only with reservation if you want to be on the safe side and there are more than 2 people!

Went over to have the cheese fondue. Half and Half comes with bread and potatoes with add ins that you can add. Half and half ?is a bit more watery than the Vacherin only option maybe because there is wine inside the cheese pot. But overall tasted the half and half cheese fondue and it tasted pretty good. Has some salad and meat platter starters which were ok. The raclette (looks like grilled cheese) tasted great! Waiters were great, kind and super helpful.

Well the food smelled good but unfortunately we were never served. We had a reservation, arrived on time, were seated and then completely ignored in favor of multiple tables that came in after us. While we were being ignored, the waitresses cleaned multiple tables, took other orders, banged a wooden chair into my husbands knee without apologies while setting up a table for a new party that didn’t have a reservation, then seated them and immediately asked them what they needed. After waiting for 25 minutes, we left and recommend you look elsewhere for food unless you want to gamble on servers who will pick and choose who to serve and when.

I ordered raclette à discretion and the waitress told me it was now ready. Raclettes à discretion are ready! A mess! Where in the world is à discretion ready? It's ready when the guest is no longer hungry!

Everything we ordered was very good, especially the raclette... very good. In Switzerland everything is expensive, it is not surprising that they charge you 15 euros for a dish, it is normal there. They are all very attentive, they explain the menu to you and specifically the waitress is very friendly and professional.

We had a fantastic experience at Raclette-Stube. As soon as you walk in you are confronted with the smell of fondue. The interior is cozy and small with custom paintings that match the wrought iron artwork. We got seated right away without a reservation for a party of five and the staff were very friendly and attentive. They suggested great local wine pairings. We ended up trying both a red and white. We really liked the pear, pineapple, and peppers for fondue dipping.

I came to Switzerland from Japan on vacation and visited this restaurant because I wanted to try cheese fondue. Compared to Japanese cheese fondue, the taste of sake was stronger. It was very tasty! I would like to come back again.

We were served a salad with a very thick, long and very much alive worm that was trying to escape out of the bowl… The reaction from the waitress was “oh, but we wash our salads very well”… well not really? We didn’t have to pay for the salad (which was basically the price of one glass of wine) but had to pay the full meal which was above 100 chf. We left after 30 min and didn’t eat much out of our main courses as the appetite just left us… While paying, the waitress asked whether we would like to leave a tip. Would never come back.

So.. ordered Raclette and a salad. The salad came with an extra caterpillar the size of my pinky so i wondered where my Tequila was to flush it down. Waitress assured me that they rinse the salad very well though? Lost apetite after 2 slices of cheese thanks to Mr. Caterpillar and took the check - didn’t pay for the salad, but the rest in full which surprised me a bit to say the least.

A very neat restaurant offering authentic, classic Swiss raclette without stuff you won't need. The have a 40chf basically all-you-can-eat raclette which includes potatoes, cornichons, pickled mini onions, pickled mini corn and bread and some basic spices. I definitely recommend taking this! They refill everything once it is empty! The waitress told us the maximum on ever managed to eat was 17 plates of raclette cheese. That's pretty hard to imagine but give it a try yourself :) The restaurant is pretty small but cute and you should definitely make a reservation before. The raclette was delicious! The service is very nice and they also speak English well. The restaurant is not located in the "main restaurant street" but one more street upwards which is nice because it's not super busy there. I would say this is a great restaurant for enjoying authentic Swiss raclette. We had a great time there and it's worth the money!

Best cheese fondue of our trip!! The servers were very friendly and advised us on the best dishes and amount of food to get and it was perfect! We got one cheese fondue with tomatoes, one regular cheese fondue, and one sausage and salad dish and that was perfect for 3 people! Everything tasted extremely good.
