Bad service, dirty, the lady at reception was totally overwhelmed. a better youth hostel.

Hotel room nice. Staff not always attentive but still friendly. **** The swimming pool is 20m and immaculate, as is the sauna. **** But the (men's) cloakrooms there are hygienically unacceptable!!. There are spiders, snails, mold in the shower, all sanitary facilities including the toilet are outdated and disgusting. For example, there are shaved hair and toenails in the shower and changing room and I know two people who got athlete's foot or plantar warts there. * PS: Although it was “renovated” in July 2023, there was no noticeable difference before/after, unfortunately.

I generally have a lot of contact with your employees Laura at the reception and Rene in the wellness area. Incredibly friendly people and super helpful. The wellness is a great place where I can use my Fitpass to improve my life through my mental health.

Very positively surprised, radisson in Switzerland is a step better than in Germany, super nice staff, great location, parking up to 2.10m in the 50m car park, free local transport tickets and a 50% discount for the zoo and museums. Price performance is right

2 /5 Do NOT recommend. For a 4-star hotel, they are only a 2 star (and that's being generous). There are SO many things wrong with location.. Let's start from the beginning. The parking garage is broken. If you are checking in, there's no place to park (only 1 space in front, and it was taken). Reception had to buzz the door open. Then i tried to get a ticket, and that machine was broken ( the desk clerk confirmed it has been broken for a long while). Garage only has space for 20 cars and charges $30 CHF (average rate is $10-12). Garbage was overflowing, and there was no elevator from the garage to the hotel. And do not bring a large vehicle because you won't fit. You have to carry all your bags up a hill, go outside, then back into hotel. Extremely dangerous. The desk clerk was polite but uninteresting. Breakfast is $60 CHF (close to $66 USD). There's a starbucks 0.3mi away. So, on to the hallway and room. The rugs were dirty, and gum stuck to the floor. And who puts stairs leading to the room? Makes it extremely difficult to bring bags, plus rug floors have not been industry standard in over 10 years. Room numbers are a waste of natural wood. Room door is heavy to push open for an older person. The art in the room is unappealing. The shower is a poor design. A glass "door" thst swings and doesn't hold back water. Plus, if you are shorter than 6 feet, then you will have difficulty stepping into the shower. Not impressed. Would not recommend staying at this location unless there were no other choice.

I was overcharged by one night of parking. I was provided the bill and asked to swipe the card without any proforma to check. When I checked the invoice, I discovered the excess charge. A manager was involved, and a refund was processed.

A really excellent stay, rooms were clean the bed is comfy and a great location.

I was in the “Rhein” restaurant. Unfortunately, it's all about the money. The menu is kept very short. So the processes can of course be much more efficient and standardized and the margin increases. The food itself was ok. But nothing for which you would come back. I miss the extensive salad bar. But that I'm sure it's been over 20 years since this still existed. Unfortunately, these days it's no longer about love when it comes to food.

I’ve stayed at this hotel numerous times and what I like is the great ambience, the warm and genuinely friendly staff with a great location in Basel. The rooms are very appointed and extremely comfortable. The bathroom products are one of the best smelling in any hotel I’ve stayed in. Receptionists Manuela, Marta and Ali cannot do enough to welcome and check in guests to their rooms. Well done to you all. As always I look forward to my next stay in April and the superb hospitality of the Radisson Blu in Basel. 5 stars.

Visiting from England, extremely clean, stunning rooms and spectacular service.

Great location right in the centre of the city and tram stop right outside. Tasty breakfast with à la carte egg dishes. Very good spa with a sauna and steam room as well as a large, at least for hotel standards, pool. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Basel.

Nice style, seems freshly renovated all over. Clean. Very attentive and friendly service. Though an experienced world traveler, treated with chocolate, lemonade and entertainment by the staff, our 3yo son totally fell in love with the place.

Gute Lage in Zentrum von Basel.

Super freundliches Personal, super Frühstück, direkt im Zentrum und alles zu Fuss machbar. Parkgarage vorhanden und nicht weit von der Autobahn entfernt, sodass mann nicht durch die ganze Stadt fahren muss. Sauberes und schönes Zimmer und auch in Corona Zeiten alles hygienisch. Wir würden wieder kommen.

Das Hotel Radisson blue in Basel beherbergte Kunstturnerinnen und Kunstturner aus 5 Nationen, sowie die Offiziellen und Kampfrichter des Europäischen Verbandes. Es mussten strikte Massnahmen zum Schutz vor Covid-Ansteckungen durch das Hotel umgesetzt werden. Fazit: Das Management und das Personal des Radisson blue hat herausragende Leistungen erbracht und alle zufrieden gestellt. Das Personal ist aussergewöhnlich freundlich und dienstbereit. Die Sportler und die Offiziellen haben die sehr angenehmen Zimmer und das reichhaltige Frühstücksbuffet sehr geschätzt. Alle Einrichtungen waren sehr sauber. Maximalnote ist mehr als verdient!

It's like any other Radisson property. They don't leave an impression on you and you tend to forget after you leave. The location is really great. You can go down to the Irish Pub at the street corner or other jointa the next lane. Walkable distance to the theatre and other markets. The tram stops right infront which is an added convenience.

This is one of our favorite locations when touring with Princess for one day, the world's #1 make-over event. We come here frequently since 2002 - and attitude and event locations were always immaculate. Sadly, they are not available for the forthcoming tour. Highly recommended.

Nicht weit zu Fuß vom Bahnhof.aber der Weg dorthin ist schwierig! Nicht den kürzesten wählen,dann spart man Energie. Schönes Hotel wo ich Mal die Angestellten ganz hoch loben muss! Sowas nettes und zuvorkommendes hat man heutzutage selten! Auch am Frühstücksbuffet die nette junge Dame, ganz ganz toll. Ich war wirklich überrascht so liebevoll empfangen worden zu sein.
