Waited about 1 hour. It took a long time before we could order. Then the table wasn't cleared but drinks were brought. The old dishes from the guests in front of them still remained. Food was only served after another request. Before that we were ignored by the service. When the time came, the wrong food was served and some of it was forgotten. Service not motivated... An unreasonable expectation for guests with children. Was my first and last visit.

Very friendly, there is always space and you don't have to queue, you can sit down and be served. I really appreciate it. The selection compared to the well-known large rest areas is certainly smaller, but completely sufficient. We'd love to come back.

Fast and very nice service. The small breakfast was good. And it is not overcrowded with travelers like other rest stops on the way to Graubünden.

A stop here is worth it just because of the beautiful view of Lake Walen and the Churfirsten. From the PP or inside in the restaurant. Bar, shop and restaurant. Very nice service at the checkout.

The food here tastes wonderful.

We were on the way to Bad Ragaz and, as always, took a break at our favorite stop. Since we didn't want to go to the thermal bath hungry, we decided to eat here this time. I can't remember the last time I had such good and cheap food in Switzerland. We took the daily plate with cutlet/herb butter/fries/spinach/ruebli and the vegetarian plate for CHF 21.50 each - small portion. Everything was perfect. Starting with the portion, the fries, the vegetables and the optimally cooked cutlet. One thing is clear: they can cook! (P.s.: you no longer need a coin for the toilet. Just go with a card)

Actually a beautiful rest stop, but the service made an extremely arrogant impression. He passed us several times without taking an order while taking orders from tables around us. We were here on Sunday Oct 15th at 11am just so you could see who was working. Such a shame!!!

Sorry but paying money for such old and dirty toilets is a disgrace.

Fantastic view on the lake and mountains-probably the most beautiful cafe on the motorway to grab a bite and fill the car. Food is simple but tasty, prices are swiss 🤪

Great view of the beautiful Walensee. The employee in the restaurant was very rude. I wasn't greeted. When I said that I would like something to eat, she turned around without a word and - again without a word - placed the card on the table. I say goodbye as I leave, no reaction. If you don't like people, maybe you shouldn't work in service. The lady in the shop, however, was very friendly.

Completely overpriced 6.- for a cola I think I'm totally crazy about it. If the location is not profitable it should be closed and not drive prices sky high...

I stopped by on my way from Zurich to Maienfeld. It's on a hill, so you can see the lake as well. The scenery is beautiful and soothing.

What was I able to experience... You drive to the rest stop early in the morning to buy a “lunch” and also fill up for CHF 160.00. Nowadays, if you don't have any change, you can't go to the toilet quickly. So you still need that one franc to go to the toilet. But if you don't have one and you're shopping for just under CHF 180.00, the staff won't be able to charge you CHF 1.00 more so you can go to the toilet.... No (man) then commits a criminal offense and climbs over the pole with his full bladder No competence from the staff and just stupid... From my point of view - never again stop at a rest stop like this that requires someone to take this exit.

Every time I'm in Walensee I try to stop by this restaurant. Everything is delicious, friendly staff and the view from the window blows the roof off.

Truly beautiful views of the lake. Very pleasant, quiet restaurant on Thursday 11am. We missed a comfortable corner/lounge to have a drink. We found it quite inconvenient having to snake our way past the bar. It's a shame it doesn't curve along the wall. The waiter wasn't exactly welcoming, hhhm! We found it unpleasant that our dog wasn't allowed to have water alongside his dry food. If it were for hygienic reasons, a counter argument would be the soles of the guests' shoes, which could have stepped on something unhygienic. Unfortunately the water in the dog bar outside the door was frozen. Why the dog waterer isn't placed closer to the entrance door is a mystery to us??? You could, for example, stand in place of the pet bucket as a little nudge. Kind regards

We spontaneously had lunch here and were very positively surprised, fresh, delicious cuisine, with a great menu and very friendly staff, we will visit you again very soon. P.S. with a beautiful view of Lake Walen and the Churfirsten❤️

Please bring the toilet infrastructure into shape. Soap dispenser, toilet brushes including holder, hand dryer with marginal air flow, etc. Cleanliness at best average

Unfortunately, the boss is (still) not a great role model when it comes to friendliness and warmth. This costs one star, but the super nice (!) staff, the very good offer and the great view more than make up for it! One of the most pleasant rest stops I know of! Unfortunately, the prices have been increased significantly in the last few weeks - the pain threshold has been reached!

It's everyone's own fault who stops in Marche in the direction of Chur: full-service restaurant with good, fresh food. Some of the best on the Swiss highways.

Absolutely top rest stop, super friendly service from Andrea, top recommendations, mega fine game plate freshly prepared by the master chef on site. Super fine and fresh. Top view. Mega Barrique Pinot Noir as a souvenir from Quinten. Highly recommend the homemade vermicelle desserts. We'll be back 👍👍👍

What a location to have a coffee and to fill the car with petrol. On our way from Switzerland to Austria, we loved this place with amazing views. If one day, they have a job offer, I would consider... :-)

The takeaway coffee is very bad and very, very expensive. 6.20 Fr.!!! 😱 The staff at the checkout is not friendly either

You can only give it five stars. Every time I drive past Bergsboden I have to plan a stop. Fine regional food, air-conditioned and therefore very pleasant, very fair prices and, last but not least, the great staff who serve you in a friendly and courteous manner. This review was long overdue ☺️

Small and manageable, and rarely overcrowded. The four-legged friends can stretch their legs on the small meadow.

Shortly behind the Frattentunnel you go to the Walensee rest stop. The rest stop is above the highway - if you stand at the parking lot you can see a concrete block and the gas station. Doesn't really look hospitable... When you go in, your perception changes quickly. After passing a small counter in the entrance area, filled with fresh handmade delicacies, you are a few steps later in the light-flooded guest room with a fantastic view over Lake Walen. A sideboard presents cakes and other fresh delicacies. Good-humoured, friendly ladies take the drinks order and promptly come to the table. Payment is made at the checkout at the end, which wouldn't be worth mentioning - if the nice cashier hadn't saved me a lot of trouble and brought my credit card to the parking lot. What a service, thank you again.

Rest area with beautiful view of the lake, we ate very well for around 17 euros per person.
