Leberli tasted special, the plate wasn't really clean, but service was very nice.

The good beef, the good asparagus, the friendly service staff, I can go to the restaurant in Lesetal, just keep it up

A traditional restaurant that I know from my childhood and also enjoy visiting when I am in the region. This time we were in the beautifully designed outdoor area in wonderful temperatures. The service was friendly and helpful from arrival to the end. Despite the restaurant being full, the food was served in a short time. It tasted fine as usual.

I was treated badly, treated like a toilet. I think it's a shame who treats you based on your appearance. I would recommend this restaurant if you want to eat very well and plenty of food. The chef is top class, knows his craft. Greetings Ricci.

In terms of furnishings, it's a slightly older restaurant, but that doesn't affect the quality of the food. The Förster Cordon Bleu is one of the best Cordon Bleus I have ever eaten! The French fries, on the other hand, were mediocre, unfortunately a little too soft, that can happen. The staff speaks Swiss German, some with a slight accent. If you don't have too high expectations and just want to go to a restaurant and get full, I can recommend the bear.

The bear is an almost unavoidable institution in Liestal. A rustic pub with no flights of fancy, but with an interesting selection of beers by the glass.

A small break for the legs and a place to sit down and chat. Local place with an old style interior and an even older crowd in, ordered a Feldschlösschen Braufrisch, a lager, that was nice and cold and served with a friendly smile. Beer went down very well, and we were suitably refreshed to go on our way...........

We ate really well after getting competent advice. The atmosphere is still truly Liestal, as it was a few years ago, and finding authentic Swiss cuisine in Switzerland is now a rarity. Yes, I recommend the Bears to everyone who enjoys being pampered with the great and somewhat hearty Swiss cuisine at least occasionally.

Nice service, but all in all a bit “old-fashioned”. We came specifically because we knew that local beer (Farnsburger) was served. It took about 10 minutes after ordering for us to receive our drinks. The beer was also a month past its expiration date - but we didn't realize that until late.

Always open Sundays, with an amazing asparagus menu.

We have now ordered twice in a row. On the first day it was a cheeseburger XXL, although we thought that the meat was XXL and not the bread. There was a normal-sized burger hidden in the XXL burger bread. The taste was good. There was also a french fry that was very hard. Today 2 pizzas with curry, chicken, capers, egg & onions. Well, our pizza consisted of onions (we didn't want capers) and an egg. Curry was only on the 3 pieces of meat in powder form. You could have just eaten dough with tomato sauce and mozzarella. A pity!

Once ran in with 6 people at 8:30 p.m. and the restaurant was already closed, even though according to the homepage it would have been open until midnight... On the second visit I was registered to eat fondue with 17 people and had pre-ordered fondue. We had to wait 1 hour for the food. The highlight was that 2 people who had ordered potatoes instead of bread ended up having to pay an extra 5.00. It doesn't work at all! Conclusion, we're not coming anymore

The food doesn't taste good... and there are cockroaches upstairs where the boss rents rooms. I don't want to know what it looks like in the restaurant kitchen... unfriendliness is the order of the day there
