I can highly recommend the beef fillet on the “Hot Stone”! Perfectly cooked, super friendly service and a very cozy atmosphere. We had our girls' meeting at the Blume and I really hope that it wasn't the last time it took place at the Blume.

The Blume restaurant is located in the middle of Birsfelden on the main street, a few steps from the tram stop and parking spaces. The rooms are clean and simply furnished. We were greeted accordingly by the waitress and directed to the reserved table. Shortly afterwards, we were asked if we wanted an aperitif and were served with the menu. And yes, the menu is more like Meyer's lexicon, and so is the selection of food. This means you have plenty of time to really enjoy the aperitif while you leaf through the food book and have to/may be spoiled for choice. We have actually never experienced such a selection in any restaurant. The serving daughter happily helped us with the selection and was visibly enthusiastic about her suggestions herself, which further confirmed our anticipation of the meal. The restaurant offers an extremely extensive, home-style cuisine with very generous portions. The food is also served on nicely preheated plates, which we really appreciate. The service staff as well as the boss are very attentive and appear at the table from time to time without seeming intrusive. Conclusion of our visit to the Blume: incredible menu selection, delicious food and generous portions at a great price/performance ratio. Friendly staff, a waitress who loves her work and a boss who cares about his guests. We were not the first and not the last time at the Blume in Birsfelden.
