Restaurant Bollywood in Fieschertal

I must say very unexpected surprise on top of the highest mountain peak of Europe. We realised that there is an Indian restaurant called Bollywood. The food was great, authentic dhaba style the spread was great and price was comparable. We loved the food and enjoy every bit of it.

Absolutely substandard service. We were told that only groups were served and as a couple we had to wait outside (there was only one table in the restaurant occupied by one group).

We had a very nice experience. The food was amazing and so was the ambience. Kalid was very welcoming and kind to us. We look forward to coming back and meeting Kalid again.

We were looking for a restaurant with babychairs but there weren't many options. So we suddenly entered this restaurant. It was a little different from the traditional curry, but it was very delicious considering that you were eating it at the top of the Jungfrau Mountain. And Mr. Kalid was very kind.

Brilliant service from Ralid! He helped to accommodate our group when all of the other restaurants were unable to help us. Without him we would have been split up and seated all over Jungfraujoch. The food was delicious and fresh. 5* thank you Ralid.

Best Indian food I have had in Swiss. Khalid who is incharge of everything is very friendly and guides you well. It's a buffet which serves both veg and non veg. Must try. It was 65 CHF for two people.

The fun of having Indian food at the top of Alps was mind-blowing. The host of the restaurant was kind enough to treat us like his own family. Made a lifetime memory. Food quality was sensational and so yummy. To our surprise we were treated with complimentary buffet simply since I asked. It was an overwhelming feeling.

I had a lovely Experience at JungFraujoch and I had lovely food at Bollywood Restaurant and the best part about the restaurant is the service they provide. Visited this place for lunch and it was the best Indian food we had in Europe! Buffet had veg and non veg options. The tomato soup was so so delicious! Everything was extremely hygienic and well maintained. The view from the restaurant is mind blowing. The best part about this entire experience was meeting Mr. Kalid. He is so well spoken and is there for anything you need. We were very happy visiting this place and would want everyone to visit this restaurant for very good Indian food and a very friendly experience 🤍

Caution do not waste your hard earned 37.00 ch on this buffet. Food is as good as garbage. Only good thing in buffet was yogurt and salad which they did not make. The main steward was extremely rude as if we were going to eat without paying. There is good vegetarian food in other restaurants. If you are ok trying other vegetarian food then please do not eat here. This buffet is shame being called Indian food.

We visited from Australia and thought it would be a nice Indian restaurant. We went in excitedly and paid before checking the lay out of food. It turned out to be a horrible canteen type stale food with very high amount of chillies. I wonder who could eat this food. Not worried about waste of money but if my friends visiting from Australia can read this review, please DON'T even try this food. It's only for group bookings from Indian tour operators.

We visited restaurant Bollywood on 5 August 2023. The food was ok . The dal and vegetables taste good . But the chicken curry is not authentic Indian curry. The atmosphere was nice and view from the restaurant is outstanding. The man who was running the restaurant was very friendly and welcoming. If you would like to enjoy deshi food with best Alpine view on the top of Europe, definitely it is your destination.

Food was good. They have a nice cook. But the man who was taking money or controlling cash counter and managing the floor was horrible. This man was from south Europe or South America.. no idea , but he was extremely unprofessional and extremely ill mannered towards Indians. He did not know how to talk with Indian women ! It was a rare experience and worth mentioning. However , food was very good at such a location. We went in the end of July .

the guy who was serving was so so so rude and racist told me also dont talk to me while using your hand even thought its our way to talk and kept told me its only for groups even thought i paid what is the point of paying and i cant enter restaurant to eat then i called the restaurant to check i was surprised that its not only for groups and i can go . The staff is rude and unaccomodating . There is a person who is extremely rude and arrogant, he does a pretty good job to shove off people. Avoid at all cost. Don’t waste time and spoil the Jungfräu experience by going here.

Lunch on the top of Europe. The snow is shining and reflects the sunlight, you should prepare a pair of sunglasses for visiting here.

One of the worst food to eat so far. Rice are totally uncoked we told the manager and asked to refund our money as my son don't like half cook rice but team was extremely rude but I m very thankful my son and me only pay and eat nothing and save our life only my husband eat and from that night to now 3 days he is suffering food poisoning We pay 90fr and also all trip runied restaurant should b closed Plz

We had food here just a while ago ( 6th aug 2022 ). My entire family had vomited and feeling very tired and in dizziness. Moreover the taste of the food is worst. Never try this restaurant. You can better buy a clossent from some other shop. One of the worst restaurant

They charge 35 chf for adult and 20 chf for child unlimited buffet. Their food is worst I have ever eaten in my whole life. AVOID GOING THERE

Simply a disgrace, reduced offer for whatever reason...Three "menus"...soup, goulash soup or ghackets with croissants to choose from (same menus as in the other restaurants) unfortunately no more cheese with the croissants and that at 11:45. Everything served in a cardboard box with disposable cutlery. Considering what you pay to get up the mountain, that's outrageous. If that describes Swiss Quality as “Top of Europe” then I see black 😪

We had a buffet lunch here. The restaurant has a wonderful view of the snow. One side of the restaurant is a large glass wherefrom you could sit and enjoy the view of the snow covered mountain, while enjoying the taste of hot indian dishes. The food wasn’t exactly that of a traditional indian restaurant but at least they tried making it as close to it as possible. I enjoyed the food. It was ample and had variety. They served complimentary fruit juice as well.

Our tour guide arranged our lunch here. One side of the restaurant is entirely glass which offers a splendid view of the icy Alps. Our food was served in buffet. Dishes were Indian dishes, but when it comes to taste they were not even close. i however was still happy to think that I was having Indian food atop the Alps which is very exciting I think. Sitting is very crampy, there were 6 seats per table and if you wish to enjoy the scenic view you have to take on e of the inside seats. Coming out then become s a huge problem for you as well as others. They offered complimentary champagne which I didn't like at all.

Restaurant Bollywood is profanity in the name of Indian food. The view is OUTSTANDING -- without an iota of doubt -- but the food is just horribly awful -- and that is true for every item in their meager buffet offering. Not to mention, they offered neither starters, nor desert, or even the customary Indian Chai. The cheapest of plastic plates and cutlery just about rounded off this entire horrible culinary experience.

For an Indian traveller with little option and you dont like other food, you can count on it. It's a buffet with a decent variety of veg and non-veg food. Once you go up there, you are bound to feel hungry. Its' @30 usd per adult with children enjoying some discount.

We visited this restaurant through a group tour. We had never ever thought that we could get such good quality Indian food at such high point.Staff was friendly and accommodating. It was a bit crowded because there were two group tours, having lunch at the same time. On the whole we enjoyed our food. Great Experience!

Wir gingen gegen Mittag zum Mittagessen hinein. Es war eine schreckliche Erfahrung. Die Tafel sagt, es ist ein A-la-Carte-Restaurant und als wir dort waren, waren 3-4 Gruppen indischer Touristengruppen da und es gab keinen Platz zum Stehen oder Reden. Als wir das Personal baten, uns einen Tisch zuzuweisen, sagte er, wir hätten keine Tische, an denen man warten könne, bis die Touristengruppen essen! Wir fragten ihn, ob wir einen Tisch bekommen könnten, da wir einen Zug hatten, um zurück zu fahren, und er sagte nein und sagte, Sie könnten zu jedem anderen Restaurant gehen.Dann mussten wir auf eine andere Ebene gehen, wo es noch ein Buffet-Restaurant gab, das nicht einmal geöffnet war, und wir mussten eine halbe Stunde warten. Nettes Personal, das uns zuerst essen und bezahlen ließ, als wir ausgegangen sind. Gute Auswahl an warmen Gerichten, ausgezeichnete Tomatensuppe! Lecker! Vielleicht nicht wirklich stylisch, aber was kann man auf dem Gipfel des Berges erwarten. Preise wie in der ganzen Schweiz.

Ich war ein bisschen wählerisch über das Essen und sein Geschmack Essen war lecker lecker und zu Hause wie vegetarische Optionen waren super Dal Chawl Chana Masal Mix Gemüse alle waren sehr lecker. wir suchten nach gutem indischen hausgemachten typenfutter und unsere suche endete hier. foodis teuer, aber ich denke, man sollte für thaali gehen, weil papipet ka sawaal hai, aber es lohnt sich auszugeben, ich bin das beste indische Essen in der Schweiz. Zwei Personen dürfen hier nicht füttern

We enjoy Indian food, and since this restaurant was less crowded than most of the others up on the Jungfrau, we decided to give it a try. The food was pretty good without being 4-star, and there was plenty of everything. The staff was accommodating as well, although we could not get bottled water in there...only from a pitcher, which we didn't trust. Still, it was a good and filling meal for a set price.

We went with our family to Jungfrau and visited this resturant. To our surprise the food was excellent and was at par with any 5 star resturant in India. We went to so many indian resturants in europe but never had this kind of amazing and delicious food.

Foremost best thing about this place its located at a place most wouldn't expect it, at top of Europe. If you are an Indian, travelled all the way from India, to Zurich then have taken long 5hrs journey to Jungfraujoch to see & roll on snow in a tiny little crowed place and after a hour or so of reaching here and find theres nothing more to do and your return journey to Zurich is another 5 long hours and hungry, this place makes you feel heaven on earth. Its a buffet place having reasonable choices, casual service staff, expensive (may be not at top of mountain). Hungry and exertion made us like this food otherwise don't think anyone will give it a second visit, oops you won't really go again to Jungfraujoch, They both a really only once in lifetime experience.

Even if you decide to spend the high priced items, this is one hell of a restaurant with only name as Bollywood. Most of the staffs are non Indians with an expression of having fed up with the customers. We went there thinking of having some nice food and have an Indian touch to our trip. But turned out to be a complete spoiler from the guy at the entrance. He was so rude, I was completely taken by surprise. Coming to the main item, the food was simply put in one word is like a typical canteen food with average taste. So would not recommend to anyone.

I cannot explain the feeling I had after hearing the name. Great place. Lovely staff. Lovely unforgettable experience and view of the mountain ranges from the restaurant is simply superb and unforgettable. A must visit for every Indian visiting Swiss. Food is great and tastes well. Mild spicy. More than food it is the feel of Indianization that pulled me there and a special bond which will be created once anyone entered the place.

We went this restaurant as a group and it provides a beautiful view of Alps. The food was good. The place gets crowded quickly due to peak season and staff will ask you finish your food as quick as possible. Overall OK experience.

I visited Jungfrau along with family. It's a railway station at the top of Europe. Since this place attracts many Indian tourists so there is Indian restaurant named Bollywood. After long ride and lot of walking and as an Indian your mouth gets watering to see Indian restaurant at the top of the world. I will not complain about the price(32 CHF per person) as getting all the ingredients at the top of mountain and making the food require efforts. One thing I didn't like at all was rudeness of the staff person with his fellow beings. It didn't happen to me but I saw rude reply by this staff member to couple of normal queries by visitors. As if he is doing favor to serve the food at remote place. If someone from the restaurant is reading this, I strongly advise to give basic training of courtsey to deal properly with customers. I have visited so many Indian restaurants in many cities of the world but never experienced such behavior by the staff. It doesn't feel good , that's not Indian culture (Atithi Devo Bhava)

After a full day at the Swiss Alps, it was so so so nice to have some nice hot authentic Indian food! I'm so grateful to this restaurant for letting me have good hot dhal 400 meters or so above sea level!

When I rated the restaurant excellent , it is not only the food..1) Being an Indian , It was an excellent feeling to find this restaurant at the top of Europe. This restaurant offers buffet Lunch @ 32.5 swiss Franc..with a decent spread of Rotis, Pasta , Salad , Some Indian style chicken and Veg items and some chicken in white sauce.. The spread is quite limited .. They offer a complimentary glass of champaigne.. I was lucky to have two...2) As I said , it's not the food , but the ambiance of the place which makes the place unique... Quite warm place , full of sunshine , surrounded by the snow all around .. An unforgettable experience..

This restaurant is at Jungfraujoch which is called as 'Top of Europe' - the highest peak in Europe. As long as you are in this restaurant, you feel fine but the moment you go out in the open to enjoy snow, you will feel suffocated as the Oxygen pressure is low.As regards the restaurant, it is nicely decorated and has variety of Indian food. One feels at home on eating Indian food while out of India. The quality of food is excellent.

上到少女峰，食這方面真的沒太多選擇，而且瑞士本身消費就比較高，遊客區就更加。少女峰是個整天的行程，如果是自由行的話，都沒其他選擇，在這裡吃還是比較多選擇，而且在外拍照實在太冷，進室內後可以暖暖吃一餐是個好選擇。味道是一般，肉醬意粉太約是 CHF 17, coffee 是 CHF4-5。如果是其他肉食，是 CHF 17-24左右吧。

The Thomas Cook had arranged our lunch at The Restaurant Bollywood located at 11000+ feet height at Jungfraujoch in Switzerland. The travel from Zurich to Interlaken and to Jungfrau, the snowy peaks, the snowfall at the time of our visit in -6 degree temperature and above all the food at Bollywood Restaurant were just superb. It was nice to eat such a delicious Indian food in a country like Switzerland. Our entire group liked the food of the restaurant.

We were trying to eat healthy and found options here. I had chicken and it was cooked very well. It was not dry at all. Or is worth giving it a try.

Well, posters of him anyway. This is a buffet style restaurant that is seriously average - with casual service and a very limited uncreative menu. The view from the windows is awesome though, which beats looking at the 'dining hall' kind of ambience. Food is served in thermocol plates - I would not repeat the experience.

It is hardly a restaurant, more like an assembly line, so cramped there is hardly room to stand let alone sit. They have come up with this barracks like method to serve a buffet. You are supposed to take a plastic service tray, put disposable plates on it and take whatever you want on them, and then after you have finished, get up and put these on a rack. While that may be for environmental reasons, I saw one person, who did not follow, being abused and denigrated by the staff. I was so distressed, I could hardly eat. And, for the record the food is not cheap. Oh! Terrible.

Last week I visited this place and was very exited to have Indian food at the top of europe. There is no al-carte and you have only option is buffet system (over priced), so if you are not hungry then avoid this, also they dont allow even small kids to eat with parents.

Das Restaurant befindet sich im oberen Bereich, mit Blick auf Jungfraujoch Schönheit. Wenn es nicht so voll mit Touristen Gruppen, dies ist ziemlich entspannender Ort zum essen. Wie auch immer, das Essen ist nicht das den Preis wert. Es ist zu scharf (dies ist von jemand, der gerne scharf, ethnischen Essen) . Die Auswahl ist begrenzt. Und Sauberkeit fehlt.

Wir waren eine 3köpfige Familie (2 Erwachsene & 1 Kind) , aus Indien besucht das Restaurant zum Geschmack heimische indischen Essen. Der Geschmack war okay und essen konnte nur eine Parata und eventuell ein Teil des Rice, das nur Kinder unter 5 Jahren essen können. Unser Magen satt geworden und konnte nicht mehr essen. Wir hatten schreckliche Zeit danach und ständig Gegenwert dafür un Leichtigkeit im Magen für das nächste 2 Tage. Schon sehr teuer und die Qualität des Essens ist Ihr hartverdientes Geld nicht wert.

Ein indisches vegetarisches Reisen in Europa immer Gesichter Problem ein gut Indisch essen zu finden. . und dass zu at the top of Europe. . Das Restaurant ist hauptsächlich für den indischen Touristengruppen. das Frühstücksbuffet ist gut und günstig.

Es ist das einzige indische Restaurant auf dem Dach der Jungfrau. Die Auswahl beim Essen und Geschmack ist gut. Das Restaurant ist aber extrem unsauber. Aber ich würde nicht Schuld ist das Personal vollständig hier, da es irgendwie die Leute, die Land bis zum Essen in einem sehr Teutonen die einzigen Art und Weise. Wie auch immer, die Angestellten können halten ein Stock Mop Fußboden einmal in eine Weile. Schweizer Gericht Suppe und Hähnchen waren sehr lecker.

Gut ist es nicht aufregend zu einem Restaurant namens Bollywood in Jungfrau?Club 7 Package Tour unsere Gruppe hier. Thomas Cook und andere Gruppen wurden auch dort.Wir waren begeistert und es war alles über als wir sahen das Essen.warum sie Zweifel hatte, im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes baden Sie alles in Öl? ? ? ? ?eigentlich habe ich die zitrusfrchten diped und Vegetarier Stücke in eine Schüssel mit Wasser gewaschen und das Chaos vor dem Essen,Schweizer Stil Huhn mit Pilzen war die Rettung, aßen einfach eine große Schale mit! !Tablett Format mit umweltfreundlich Schalen, Gabeln und Messer war beeindruckend. Aber das ist auch alles. Full Stop.

Das Essen und der Service sind wirklich schlecht. bieten Sie nur Buffet zum Mittag, das ist vorwiegend für Gruppen. Das Essen ist sehr durchschnittlich, komplett sollte vermieden werden.

Der Ort ist einfach unglaublich. Mit Blick auf Schnee verkleidet Berge Sie fühlen sich auf dem Dach der Welt im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes. Das Essen ist gut, aber hätte besser sein können. Es gab keine Nachspeisen Buffet Lunch und keine Champagner auch .

Es ist schon enttäuschend zu sehen, was der Besitzer dieses Restaurant sind running in the Name of Bollywood eine Marke von Indien. Es können höchstens bewertet werden "schlecht" nach den Standards von sogar kleine Restaurants in Europa und in der Schweiz. Es ist eine Schande, denn durch seine Standards verlangen sie rund 35 Franken (wenn ich mich recht erinnere) für eine Mahlzeit. Es ist ein Thali Restaurant, wo das Essen ist immer in Buffetform und in Indien gewesen wäre dies Restaurant bewertet durchschnittlich, aber für europäische Verhältnisse es ist schlecht. Ich nehme nur Indian Reisegruppen haben das Essen dort, und Inder reisen in ihren eigenen Gruppe ohne Geschmack für Europäischen Essen gehen.

exorbitant teuer Essen, das ist nicht im entferntesten Indian außer "Indian" ist definiert durch Übergewicht der Chili Pulver sans anderen Spice! ! Bissfest Flat Brot und wässrig Suppe scheitern um die Krawalle Hunger an der Spitze Europas!

Schöne Aussicht vom Restaurant. Sauber Restaurant mit nettes Personal. Das Essen schmeckt sind okay, aber nicht sehr frisch. Die Roti Brot war ein bisschen hart und kalt. Reis waren etwas kalt und trocken in der bainmarie sitzen für lange Zeit. Es ist ein wenig teuer, aber das ist normal in der Schweiz.

zwar teuer aber das indische Platte mit riesigen Vielfalt, zusammen mit phantastischer Aussicht auf die schneebedeckten Jungfrau.

Solch eine schlechte Service und das Essen war so schlecht und teuer auch HE Essen nicht schmeckt, wie Indian cuisine. . aber ich genießen Sie die Aussicht auf die Jungfrau. . . ernsthaft die Bollywood Restaurant zu einer Verbesserung der Essen und die Leute, die arbeiten sollten weniger unfreundlich. Lächeln kostet ein Cent wert. . .

Its a proud feeling to have a bollywood restaurant at the top of Europe having Indian food but what it also tells you is that the number of Indian tourists visiting this place is high. The food was quite good but served in paper plates due to the recycling issue which makes sense. My only complaint was I thought that the Indian staff there were a bit egoistic and acted pricey as if they were doing us a favour. The other restaurants I visited were quite friendly but there were very aloof and a bit aloof maybe due to the clientele coming in.

We visited Bollywood restaurant for lunch. They served Indian buffet which had Rice, Chapati, Curries and Rice. Some of the dishes were delectable and authentic whereas other were alright. However the warm food was much appreciated in that cold weather which made our tummies happy. When we reached there we found maximum tables were reserved for big travel groups so if you are an independent traveller you might find it annoying as it's difficult to find a vacant/unreserved table. Furthermore the staff seemed to be a little impertinent but you can't blame them because when the big groups arrive there for lunch they don't behave so it's obvious for anyone to react that way. Our experience turned displeasing as the group was way too noisy and if we may recommend please try to avoid this place when it's busy with tourist groups. In a nutshell, enjoy the hot food in the cold weather and ignore the rest.

Positives:1) Finding Indian food @ the Top Of the Europe2) Yu get to eat Indian food while enjoying the views of Swiss AlpsNot so positives: 1) This places get 95% of customers through pre-booked tours; so, it is really difficult to find a seat; (we had to wait for more than 30 minutes to get our seats and that too after literally pushing our way through)2) Food is of average quality - but I guess you must take into consideration that you are eating the food @ Jungfraujoch3) It is expensive!!! (Even for Swiss Prices)In summary, if you want to eat here you may want to have a heavy snack 60 to 90 minutes before entering this place so that you do not feel hungry while waiting

Indian authentisches Essen on top of Europe war ausgezeichnet. Ich esse Gemüse Optionen wie heiß parotas Dhal Fry Chole Masala Daal Reis Mischung aus Gemüse sabji und Joghurt ... das Essen ist etwas teuer, aber es ist unendlich und passt in Swiss Preise.

昼食に利用しました。バッフェ形式の割に、お値段は立派。大人が一人32フラン、子供が一人19フラン。にもかかわらず、満足出来ました。6種類のカレー、ライスにナン、そしてトマト、タマネギ、胡瓜にヨーグルト。どれもいけました。最後にチョコレートもくれて、景色も素敵で、ユングフラウヨッホでの満足できる昼食でした。

First off - we didn't end up eating here. Even at CHF 33.50, we went in to check out the food array and it wasn't really that much of a choice. If you're absolutely craving Indian food, have at it - but know that there wasn't a huge buffet choice with many side dishes etc. We were there smack in the middle of lunch and didn't see a lot of help, but a lot of tourist groups that had reserved most of the tables leaving perhaps 2-3 tables for the rest of us. I can't comment on the quality of the food.

Das Essen ist schlecht. Der Service war wirklich schlecht. Vermeiden Sie dieses Hotel. Die Leute im Restaurant sind sehr unfreundlich. Das Essen war furchtbar für den Preis berechnet. Ich beschwerte mich über die Unfreundlichkeit der Leute dort nicht besorgt waren. Sie bekommen diese Geschäfte von Tours gebucht vor so gar nicht gestört werden. Es gibt noch ein anderes Restaurant gibt es also versuchen sich dorthin zu bekommen oder voll Essen bevor Sie hierher kommen.
