Food was amazing and fresh. You'd think that since it's so close to a tourist attraction that the food would be subpar. It's quite the opposite actually.

Great - was very good. And friendly service! Recommended Italian restaurant - with pizza - but also Swiss cuisine. The only improvement: the cover photo here in Google Maps could be changed, because at first I thought it was on Zürichstrasse because there was a car in the picture. But it's in the side street right next to Bourbaki, which is much quieter :)

I had pasta carbonara, nothing to complain about! The quantity is generous and the seasoning very good. Small downside on the service which could have been a little more cheerful, but we all have our bad days 😊

Great pasta, salad and bruschetta. I visited this restaurant in 2018 and now in January of 2024. My favorite Italian restaurant in Lucren. Their lemon ice tea is so fresh and tasty.

I still love the place. At the moment it's extremely busy, yet the staff do their utmost to tend to everyone's requests. My opinion still remains the same. Mind you, it may be a wise idea to make a reservation, especially if you have a family gathering or a group, beit lunch or dinner.

We were registered and initially alone in the restaurant. Nevertheless, we had to wait 30 minutes until someone finally wanted to take our drinks. Then another 20 minutes until delivery. The food was ordered and delivered with a long wait.

Went to the restaurant for a delicious lunch on 8/22. The clear menu allowed us as Taiwanese to understand it quickly. I ordered 2 main dishes and a salad respectively, as well as 3 cups of ice tea. It tasted good, the seasoning was not too salty, the salad was fresh, the fried fish pieces were crispy and fragrant, and the rice was moderately soft and hard; but the pork was a little bit The smell of mutton is guessed to be the taste of foreign pork itself (because the slaughtering methods in foreign countries are different from those in Taiwan). The waiters were friendly and made it possible for us to have a pleasant lunch.

I was invited to dinner in this establishment this past Saturday, September 9, on the occasion of a conference that took place in the beautiful city of Lucerne. I must admit that I was rather surprised by the many laudatory comments about it, which I agree with only regarding the atmosphere (rather warm), the setting (rather neat, but classic) and its location. For the rest... I was very disappointed, and I cannot shake the idea that this is a restaurant mainly targeting tourists, and which only has Italian style and the choice of main dishes. For what? First, the temperature of the establishment was really heavy (no effective air conditioning, everyone was sweating, it's not pleasant to eat especially in a pizzeria). Then, the incredible number of dishes offered is not reassuring (I find that the idea of ​​satisfying as many people as possible seems good at first glance, but the quality of the less popular dishes is less assured). We were around fifteen guests spread out over two tables, most of whom had pizzas, a few having had meat, risotto and fish with basic accompaniments. For my part, I was treated to a sort of vol-au-vent with a mushroom sauce, without meat, accompanied by a few vegetables and unseasoned rice worthy of a canteen dish (indicated as a Lucerne specialty on the menu, which no Lucerne resident at the table has affirmed), a photo of this dish was published in a comment below (Jack Takahashi). My neighbor at the table had ordered beef in a more than mediocre quantity with fries accompanied by sweet and sour sauce on the side (?!). The pizzas were not very large and especially not very garnished (knowing that the choice of pizzerias is not lacking in most cities). Finally, as we asked for the dessert menu, the waiter first asked how we were going to pay the bill (this was inappropriate, but perhaps it was a language barrier, English not being as well mastered from one to the other). For dessert, I had a panna cotta (which was good but crudely presented), the others had ice creams/sorbets which seemed to satisfy. Concerning the price, it remains reasonable for the Lucerne standard, subject to the quality of the dishes offered. Given the location of the restaurant with a constant stream of tourists passing by, I am not surprised by its success, but nevertheless I do not recommend it to those who want to eat local, and who want to eat exceptional pizzas.

Friendly service, centrally located, fine food.

We could not have been more pleased with this restaurant. The food is exceptional and the service very friendly and prompt. We’ll be back here again during this visit to Luzern!

Being friendly to foreigners, I ordered the fried fish stew. The fish was not bad, the meat was soft and tender, and the skin was crispy, but it was too salty. The seafood stew is good, the flowers are soft and tender. There are a lot of flies in the indoor seats.

Very good evening at the Caravelle. Typically Italian, the service is perfect, very pleasant and welcoming and the dishes arrived really quickly. The prices are correct for this rather touristy area.

Great service and atmosphere, but the food is on the lower side of the scale. While the photos are nice and all, you don't eat with your eyes only. The spaghetti soaked in oil, the caesar salad dry and lacks dressing, and the pizza was sub-standard. We didn't enjoy the food in this "Italian" restaurant. And, of course, as you're in Switzerland, the disappointment is further fueled by the prices.

Food was delicious. Had flavor. Now service can improve, our waiter could of introduce himself and just wanted rush us out.

It’s so easy to order food using your number😊 The waiter recommended the Mixed salad. The vegetables are fresh and the sauce is delicious. Although the dish looks ordinary, it really makes the taste of the fresh vegetables more vivid. I like the Margherita pizza, which has a lot of cheese. The crust is a little dry. The seafood risotto has a lot of ingredients, including shrimp, cuttlefish, octopus, etc.

Super tasty food. Even my daughter demolished a whole bowl of pasta. All the staff were super friendly. Kids spaghetti Kids chicken nuggies Seafood spaghetti Butter and sage tortellini.

Top service, mostly quick service. Very courteous staff. Good Italian food. Close to the Löwencenter and therefore two parking garages in the immediate vicinity. Right next door is Bourbaki with its huge mural and cinemas. The famous Lion Monument is also not far around the corner.

Caravelle offers a big variety of Italian dishes which are freshly prepared. Swiss and standard dishes are available too. I can recommend the Penne Caravelle with tendre veal and a creamy tomatoe sauce seasoned with cognac. Also tasty is the fried seabass fillet served with a creamy risotto and fresh vegetables. The staff is friendly, helpful and very fast. The clientele varies from families to couples to friends groups. A nice mix.

Truly 5 star venue. Cuisine prepared by the ITALIAN chef and pizza chef. friendly and always smiling staff. Close to the Lion monument, a stone's throw from the centre.....trying is believing

It was an Italian restaurant that I happened to stop by during my trip to Lucerne. The owner and staff all welcomed us very kindly, the atmosphere was cozy, and the pasta and pizza were truly the best quality that you can't experience in Korea!!

Italian restaurant in Lucerne. It's delicious no matter what you eat 😚 The dinner plate with sausage dressed in mushroom sauce inside the puff pastry is a highlight. It also goes great with Thai rice. It has a texture and taste that you cannot experience in Japan. The grilled white fish is also delicious. Beef carpaccio also goes well with wine. A perfect shop overall.

The game dish was really disappointing. Definitely not worth the money. The chestnuts had a very strange sauce, and the taste of the spaetzli was definitely not homemade. The meat was ok. The whole dish was also very greasy.

Discovered this restaurant during my walk in Lucerne with my family. Magnificent terrace, quick service and very friendly boss. The pizzas are the best I have eaten because we took tuna salmon and vegetarian and series after 3:30 p.m.

It is a relatively affordable family restaurant in Switzerland. It is close to the lion statue. The service is enthusiastic and the food is delicious😋, but the portion is too big!

Despite making a reservation, you got the feeling that the staff didn't believe you. The schnitzel was a little small, but tasty. The Quattro Formaggi pizza wasn't that good as it was very greasy and a little too soft.

The restaurant average people need! The price is extremely normal, you would expect 20-25.- for an average meal. The food quality and quantity are average. This is quite much what every tourist is looking for: a restaurant in which they can afford to eat. The setting is retro and clean. Effective service and food served quickly. I believe adding background music would be good because we often hear plates in the kitchen. Otherwise the location is very good for tourists! The restaurant is like the Swiss flag: a big plus!

Spaghetti with seafood was not tasty at all and when we expressed it, they kindly didn't charge us for my glass of wine. The tortellini with mushrooms was delicious.

This afternoon we ate in Ristorante Caravelle. Service personnel no respect and spaghetti with seafood could not be eaten any taste of fish who works in the kitchen does not understand anything about how to make a pasta dish. We will never go back.

I enjoyed everything from pasta, pizza, risotto, and salad at the outdoor seating area. It is an atmosphere where local people and traveling families enjoy a meal. The servers are very friendly and the food is clean and delicious.

The pizza there is really excellent and the staff is very, very friendly. The pizza is the best in town and the restaurant is an absolute secret spot worth the visit! People always enjoy eating here. There is hardly any other restaurant that has such friendly staff. It may not be the prettiest or hippest restaurant, but you eat very well and the service is very friendly. There is even a small play area for the children.
