Wonderful visit to the restaurant! Courteous service that immediately makes you feel at home and delicious food. We will be back.

The restaurant is located on Erasmusplatz and is very easy to reach by public transport; the bus stops right in front of the door. The Asian food is very good, and there are also some vegan options on the menu. Recently there has been additional Afghan food for lunch, which, according to my friend (I was only there in the evening), is excellent! The price-performance ratio is good. The host is very, very friendly and is happy to fulfill any special requests. In summer there are outdoor spaces in the back yard and also in the front. We'd love to come back!

Nice reception! Enjoy your meal! Good conditions. Restaurant seems rather bare. At first I had a bad gut feeling because we were the only guests at the beginning. But then it filled up well. The taste of the tom yam soup was ok, but due to the lack of creaminess it wasn't quite reminiscent of tom yam soups as I know them. The “Peking Duck” has nothing to do with a real Peking duck, apart from perhaps the basic product, and is not prepared using a complex process, but rather just briefly fried. The duck was also pretty on the fatty side. Good homemade ginger lemonade.

Wasn’t expecting it to be spectacular. But it is. Very highly recommend. Like, a lot. Flavors. Service. Portions. Value for money. All on point. Only thing I would change is the ventilation system. But the food is so spectacular, I wouldn’t dream of letting it stop me from going there regularly. ⭐️UPDATE: they listened & took care of this problem. Would give more stars if I could. ⭐️ A new favorite restaurant not just in the neighborhood, but in all of Basel.

Closed company on New Year's Eve: 100 people with a fixed menu including a vegetarian option. Yummy! And well organized despite the cramped conditions. Friendly and attentive service.

Coming from Thailand, I can confirm that this was not authentic Thai food. Tom Yum had hardly any taste. Very expensive for the fact that it doesn't taste even remotely similar. But service was excellent. Very sympathic. It was even taken off the bill because we didn't like it.

We sat outside facing the street. It was actually pretty quiet (at 2 p.m.). The food was excellent: Afghan Beef Curry (cooked until tender!) and Fried Beef Karpao, which I requested with only 1 chilli and was tasted and served perfectly. We were surprised that they only charge CHF 18.50 on the card menus at lunchtime (only the last 2 are offered at the normal price). This of course led to this rating being given a big +, which is why we give it 5 stars for the price.

I was warmly welcomed into the Choi Asian Garden in a cozy, Asian atmosphere! Crispy pakoras with chutney were proudly served as a starter - rightly so - fresh and homemade from A-Z! For the main course I decided on the Afghan beef qorma (curry), braised beef in a spicy sauce together with fresh vegetables, rice and yoghurt sauce! perfect! In the Asian Choi Asia Garden you can feel the passion and love on the plate but also in the service! the price is relatively cheap! Thank you! I'll be back!

We had an excellent meal! The selection of dishes is varied and extensive and yet everything is freshly prepared. Asian food Chinese, Thai, Afghan, Indian etc. Totally delicious. A true delight for the palate and the eye. And the prices are quite fair. The hosts are competent, friendly, relaxed and very personable. Definitely one of the best Asian food restaurants in Basel. I had lunch at Choi Asian Garden, and I stumbled upon this place by chance. I'm delighted with my choice, and I'm already planning to return. We started with the Choi appetizer, followed by the Thai beef Noodle and Peking duck. All of them were fantastic options, with top-notch quality meat and incredibly fresh vegetables that were truly outstanding. The customer service is excellent, we were given great recommendations on what to order. The cozy ambiance was complemented by the soothing lounge music, creating a warm environment that's perfect for friends gathering or romantic dates. I highly recommend this place.

Delicious and very fresh food served in generous portions. Excellent service and good ambiance. Choi has figured out how to offer multiple kinds of asian cuisine and it is done well. I found it by accident by walking the wrong way down the street and it was a perfect surprise. The restaurant is close to a bridge over the Rhine River you can dine and then take a walk or swim in the summer. I will definitely be back!

OUR NEW FAVOURITE ASIAN RESTAURANT IN BASEL!!!! The menu is varied and the food is so flavourful and authentic! Filled with fresh herbs and spices, all dishes we tried carried a surprising and wonderful taste explosion. We have been back multiple times and the staff is extremely friendly and engaging. One try and you will be hooked!

Very friendly service, when I picked it up my waiting time was sweetened with a small beer on the house. CHOI starter mix was excellent, wonderfully fine and crispy, tempura vegetables nice and soft on the inside, chicken skewers originally seasoned (cardamom!), good quantity. Fried rice also very good, excellent consistency, perhaps an option for more vegetables would be great. Udon noodles weren't made so spicy at my request, so they were just right, also very good, with very thinly sliced ​​fresh ginger and fine baby corn. Maybe a little too much sesame oil for my taste. CHOI cake is also excellent, very balanced in taste, moist enough made with egg. Portions are also sufficient for larger appetites. Clear recommendation, will eat there again.

When there is 🌶️🌶️🌶️ sign, best be believing 🙃. I love spicy food and usually the spicy sign in restaurants means nothing and the spiciness is lame. But here it was truly spicy. The waitress was nice enough to get me a yogurt drink after telling him it was really spicy. Food was really great, not the typical westernized Asian food. Homemade lemonade was ok, a little bit sweet to my taste.

The food was delicious at a fair price, the atmosphere in the restaurant and in the garden is very nice, the outside tables in front of the restaurant are on a street. If this bothers you, you should sit in the garden in the inner courtyard. The staff is attentive and tries to do everything right. The toilet was clean.

I personally tried the Thai Beef Noodle dish and was amazed by the tenderness of the meat and the perfect combination of spices. The portion was generous and completely satisfied my appetite. The summer rolls were also fresh and delicious. The staff at Choi was very friendly and attentive. They took time to help us choose the dishes and also advised us on choosing the right drink. Overall, my experience at Choi was very pleasant. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly and attentive. Super cozy new restaurant with an interesting cross-section of predominantly Asian cuisine, a passionate team with noticeable enthusiasm for the food and nice service that makes you feel good. Be sure to try the homemade blood lemonade. For dinner we had dumplings, crispy duck, Pad Thai, salmon udon noodles and a raspberry/passion fruit pannacotta, all very tasty. A smaller menu would also be sufficient, but with so many exciting dishes, we will definitely come back to try them out.
