Good food, and nice people, but very slow service.

Although the entrance area doesn't look very inviting, we decided to dine in this restaurant and didn't regret our decision. We ate very well and were served very friendly. We can only recommend this restaurant!

Came across this restaurant by chance, the food was simply great, Gordon Bleu is highly recommended, we would love to come back again. Simply great for Basel.

A nice evening with friends. I ate one of the best, if not the best pork cordon bleu in Basel here. The wine list is sufficiently diverse. Everything at attractive prices, you'll be happy to come back again.

Looking for a place to have dinner near the hotel where I was staying I found this restaurant. Quiet place with fast service and good attention from the employees. I chose blue cord and I was positively surprised by the size of the fillet (20-22 cm). For me, I liked a lot of cheese that did not allow me to enjoy the meat. The bread was delicious.

It can be easily overlooked. But there are very good Cordonbleus here, freshly prepared. Plan to go with a small group as space is limited. It is a loving couple who run this as a couple.

There are great Cordonbleus here. The crust on the outside was super crispy and the contents were really juicy. It's definitely not the last time I've eaten here. I was warmly welcomed and served very nicely. It's definitely not the last time I've been here.

I searched and it said it was a good restaurant so I went there. First meal in Switzerland! The two of us ordered one sausage, one rösti, and two beers and paid 100,000 won. I found out about prices in Switzerland. It's delicious and the owners and employees are friendly. By the way, in Switzerland they drink Sprite mixed with beer. I asked if I wanted it with a lemon, so I thought they would give it a lemon slice... But the beer was sweet haha

We had three different menus, which I had to pre-order for 15 people. That's why the service was on point and we received our food very quickly and hot. Everything was of the best quality and the food tasted very tasty.

Abbiamo trovato il ristorante passeggiando lungo questa via principale. Entriamo, i posti sono pochi, ma il locale è caldo e accogliente, con atmosfera familiare. Una volta entrati, ci viene incontro la proprietaria che ci pone a nostro agio. Molto gentile e disponibile, ordiniamo da bere, intanto che decidiamo cosa mangiare. Essendo l’ultimo giorno di ferie, scegliamo un piatto tipico della Svizzera, i Rösti, ossia patate che vengono grattugiate, lavorate con pepe e burro e poi cotte, proposte in diverse varianti, con aggiunta di prosciutto, carne o altro. E’ una ricetta di punta. Buonissimi e porzione abbondante. Soddisfattissimi. Prezzi nella media di Basilea.

This is an excellent restaurant. The food and the service are very good and the prices are very reasonable for this part of Basle. Well worth a visit. It does not look great from the outside but do not let that put you off.

Rechnung 28.30 !!!!Begründung: Zusätzliche halbstündige Arbeit zur Herstellung der Rösti.Die Kalbsbratwurst war ein Billigprodukt und die Rösti zum Teil halbdurch.Diskusion über den Preis mit dem Wirt war erfolglos, keine Einsicht über diesen Wucherpreis. Wenn ich für ein Cordon bleu classic 27.50 Fr. zahlen muss. Ist der normale Preis für Kalbsbratwurst mit Pommes schon eine unverschämtheit

Don't be put off by the surroundings: buying gold on the right, oriental evening wear on the left. The restaurant also looks more like a train station restaurant, but the food is okay. There are Swiss specialties and pizza. Also a few tables outside. Those who only buy ice cream are missing out. Stop in for a meal!

March 29, 2019 Arrived at 7 p.m. with 30 registered people. The service was on point and so was the kitchen. We were all able to eat our cordon bleu together. I have rarely eaten such a great thing. The restaurant is highly recommended.

We had a really lovely dinner here after a long day, very much recommend. The schnitzel with mushrooms and butter noodles was flavourful and moist (no dried out pork here!), and the gorgonzola cordon bleu was crisp and not oily at all. Drinks were reasonably priced, service was kind and polite and the bathrooms were impeccably clean. It might not look the most glam but we had a very enjoyable, very tasty experience.

We spent our last evening (Sunday) in this place. More than happy with the service and the food was top notch. Shrimp cocktail starter was absolutely brimming with prawns and my creamy mushroomy unpronouncable main course was delicious.........well worth a visit.Thanks from the Scottish contingent 😊
