The menu changes frequently and there’s often a seasonal menu (there’s an excellent Wildkarte for game season at the moment). The seafood dishes we’ve tried here have been top notch, and the pizza menu is big, with great quality proper Italian pizzas. It’s nice to go there knowing that all of the dishes will be enjoyable, and a safe bet. The service tops it all off, and Oana is brilliant, extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Our birthday evening on August 21st. for two at Commerce in Brig was really a positive experience. The reservation for a specific table worked, the table decoration was just as subtle as discussed. The service from Giuseppe and Antonio throughout the meal was excellent. As a starter we had spaghetti vongole and homemade ravioli with veal filling and morel porcini mushroom sauce. The pasta as well as my two mushrooms were cooked to just the right level; the mushrooms were the perfect aromatic complement to the veal filling. For the main course we ordered an Angus beef entrecôte with vegetables and a piece of lamb kidney with chanterelles, vegetables and Parmesan risotto. My partner likes the beef saignant, but I like the lamb more pink. Both came exactly as requested. For dessert I placed my usual special request - not mentioned on the menu: some Parmegiano... no, not a cheese plate, just Parmegiano. No vegetables or lettuce leaves, just cheese. What came to the table within a very short time is really worth mentioning. See photo! A portion of cheese with a little balsamic vinegar and syrup, a “barricade” with perfectly ripe slices of Williams pear and some nuts with the rest of the red wine to end the evening comfortably.

After reading all the older reviews of this restaurant, I have concluded that they have improved. The staff are friendly, however the I have a mixed opinions on the food. I orderer a bouillon and some spaghetti with Carbonara. The bouillon what great however the pasta was bland, almost flavorless. Combined with the fact that the plate of cheese which the staff brought for the pasta had several stains which makes it seem that they lazily recycle the cheese from other customers.

Stopped by to have a glass of wine and a snack. Staff was very friendly and quickly understood what was needed. Nice wine selection.
