I‘ve been to many Teppanyaki Grills over the years, all around the world and this was the absolute worst experience I have had so far and probably the most expensive as well. The food was bland, we had to ask for extra soy sauce, not enough vegetables, no garlic or ginger, the chef only flambéed the onions with brandy (Two slices of onion for 6 people). I had the vegetarian menu and the tofu steak came with the same oyster mushrooms I had in an earlier course. No fancy egg white writing, no onion volcanoes, no rhythmic clacking of knife and spatula, no show! My friends‘ tuna main course was only supposed to be seared, so very rare, but was cooked medium. The service was good and very friendly and they brought me a dessert as it was my birthday. It‘s a shame, but I guess there is no competition. Definitely will not go back and will not recommend.

Extremely salty and overpriced food and rude staff. I was quite disappointed with the meal I received at Fujiya. While the sashimi and the miso soup were good, the grilled vegetables and chicken were extremely salty which made them barely palatable. The cook who did the plating and Teppanyaki didn’t seem to put in a lot of effort. All in all not what I expected for such a high price. And to top it off, the waitress tried to pressure me into tipping, which is not customary and completely voluntary in Switzerland and generally only done if the service is extraordinary. I told her but she kept insisting that tips are not included in the price in Switzerland, which is factually wrong.

Unfortunately, the ambience is a bit poor. We expect more from a Japanese restaurant. But the food and service is top and deserves 5 🌟.

Even the attention to detail is there: a woman in our house didn't like mushrooms, so he counted out the beans and gave her more beans in return. We had a Japanese chef and a Thai waitress.

Quite ok, but completely overpriced

Feeling like teppanyaki, found this restaurant by chance through Google Maps. What a great surprise! The service was impeccable. The dishes were so tasty. I like this concept where each corner is for around 4 people, but I was alone with my friend on a Monday evening. I will be back soon and highly recommend this to everyone! Thank you khun Oh for taking such a good care and great service for us. We really really enjoyed the night outing!

Lunch Review. For sitting outside there is a small take away counter outside with a few pre- cooked menues. That is all fine. But even though we sit in their outside seating we get throw away plates, cutlery and pet bottled drinks. And then instead of taking the trash back and recycling the pet they ask us to throw away the trash in the public bin on the square in front. The food was ok.

Food is good and it's cooked in front of you. There's a limited selection of what you can eat and drink, also if you are unlucky like us you can find very loud people that can make your dinner a little bit uncomfortable.

This is not what you expect of a tepanyaki restaurant, normally tepanyaki places are nicely designed and the chefs have some skill in making the process a show. Firstly the fried spring rolls appetizer came with a hair inside and the staff wasn’t really apologetic. We ordered chicken and shrimp with vegetables. The vegetables were super poor( grilled white onion slice !) and two pieces of shrimp doesn’t justify the price addition . We ended up paying above 400 CHF that night in a poor unfriendly place and leaving hungry 👎👎
