Restaurant Hilten in Brienz (BE)

2023 The Hilten was remodeled inside, unfortunately to the disadvantage. View, outdoor terrace and food still great……

One of the most beautiful mountain and ski huts I know. Fantastic location with a view over Lake Brienz, great viewing terrace, very cozy inside and everything made of wood, and very tasty food. We were there several times in winter, as a short, very worthwhile detour from the ski slopes.

Very nice mountain restaurant. If you walk up from Hinterburgseeli, you deserve an ice cream. A pretty steep path. But it's definitely worth visiting Hilten. Great view, friendly service, delicious dessert.

Great day of skiing, great lunch. Rösti and cheese slices were very good. Wonderful view over Lake Brienz, recommended.

Now Fr. 5.-- for a powdered instant coffee, well, but it would still be 3 stars. But small cup and not even full, that gives 1. Makes 2 on average. Otherwise what I saw and service 😀; that's why 3. ADDENDUM 01/18/2022 Then you should increase the filling quantity. And yes, there were no cups. Didn't want to add another point of criticism, but since you mentioned it, the coffee Lutz/Kirsch glasses are not suitable for milk coffee. It's like drinking beer in a cup...

After the hike from Axalp to Hunderburgseeli with swimming 🏊‍♂️ in the lake - up (steep 😅) to the Hilten restaurant. Delightful burgers 🍔 with salad garnish. For dessert MERINGUES with cream and ice cream. Top class! 👌

We order food. When we eat than i feel like they make it so good. I talk to chef say him you make awesome food. Stuff are so good. Place and location itz feel like haven.

A really great excursion destination with a wonderful view over Brienz and Lake Brienz. In addition to a delicious snack, you can also order burgers and other warm treats. A must-visit if you are on holiday on Axalp.

Not what I expected based on the reviews 👎 No rösti left so got burger as alternative which was not very good. The view is nice but a waste of money. In response to the owners reply 👇: my feedback is based on the quality of the food I ate, not the fact that there was no Rösti. Please it correctly instead of complaining.

Rustic alpine hut restaurant with a great view, friendly staff and good coffee Hilten!

A place that literally took my breath away. I was able to drive up to the top and walked a little further to the terrace where I served a cold beer. The place, very modest and beautiful, matched the landscape. I caught some paragliders and climbed the hill to see them better. The view you have from here over the lake and the town below is indescribable, torn as if from stories. I recommend this oasis of peace.

Very comfortable and good conditions. Simple but good offer. You can also pay by card (Maestro/VPay).

We like the great view of the mountains and the lake in summer and winter. The Hilten is very cozy and the hosts and staff are extremely friendly. We love the various Swiss specialties, such as Röstis, cheese slices and meringues and the coffee Hilten

Super cozy, delicious food, great selection for such a mountain hut. The price is borderline, you have to pay close attention to what you order and whether the price-performance ratio is right. But still highly recommended. Unfortunately there is no changing table in the toilets.

Great view over Lake Brienz with good, simple food. Various rösti and cheese slices go well with the Alp surroundings. A short hike to the nearby mountain lake is a must.

Great waiter team and delicious dishes on the menu. Unfortunately a limited selection of dishes, but good for a mountain hut. The only way to get there and get there is through sport. Which unfortunately became an exclusion criterion for our grandparents. It is often full here in season, but this also reflects the location, size and quality. Rarely drank such inexpensive plum lutz.

The wafer-thin cake was fine but just a touch. An iced coffee without coffee isn't that great either. But it is the panorama that impresses.

Wonderful Alpine restaurant, top and friendly service. You feel good.
