Be careful if it is windy, dress warmly because the establishment is not very well insulated!

Very nice dinner with great service and delicious food

I am 12 and my brother is 14, we asked for 2 virgin mojitos, they brought 2 alcoholic mojitos, we ordered chicken and vegetables fried noodles, they brought us noodles with shrimps, where we found hair.

We ate at the restaurant twice during our stay at the hotel. The service was very good and attentive. At the first meal one of the dishes was misunderstood and something else was served. We accepted that. The food is well prepared and tastes authentic. Unfortunately there are no warming plates, so the food cools down quickly. The prices are not cheap, but still reasonable, also because as a hotel guest you enjoy a 10% discount with a reservation. The ambience and decorations are very nicely done.

As hotel guests, we chose to dine there. Good experience, tasty and very hearty cuisine. Good value for money, attentive and smiling staff.

I really liked this place during my visit, the restaurant is very pretty, the view is breathtaking and the staff is super pleasant!

The VIU hotel's own restaurant has a first-class environment and a great dining view. It is decorated in a modern Chinese style. The Chinese landscape paintings are all painted by famous artists. The tableware, tables and chairs are very sophisticated. How can you have such a Chinese-style decoration in a place like Switzerland? Restaurant, extremely rare, 5 points. Chinese dishes, boiled beef 4.2 points, stir-fried water spinach (not chopped) 3.5 points, spicy chicken 3.8 points, fish-flavored eggplant (a bit sour, and the taste of the canned bamboo shoots is hard to describe) 3 points; the service is quite satisfactory, you can give it 4 point. A little suggestion: We made a reservation for 5 people, but the foreigners were given a large round table (for 4 people), and the Chinese people were given a square table (for 5 people). It would be better if it could be reversed; in addition, our meal is over , packed a wonton soup, for which we waited at the table for almost 20 minutes. In fact, there were not many customers at that time. It was not until we asked that we found out that the packed items may have been prepared very early and placed directly on the bar. , was not delivered to our table

Amazing food! But average service….

The service here was the worst that I have ever had. It took a very long time for us to be served and they were extremely inattentive and uninterested. It was extremely quiet in there and there were lots of staff but none of them serving and paying attention to guests. They got lots of our orders wrong and did not bring my dish. When I reminded them that they had not brought my food they went to the kitchen and never came back and I never received my food. There was no apology or explanation. When we came to pay the bill the dish was on there and still no apology for my lack of a meal. We would never eat here again. The food that did arrive was nice enough but the service really ruined the experience.

Tasteless and low value for money

I honestly believe Horizon should apologise to People’s Republic of China for the terrible food they serve here and the shame they put on the nation. This place is overpriced and the quality is terrible, thankfully the portions are small so that you are put out of your suffering quickly.

The waiter got half our order wrong, the portions are small and expensive even for Swiss standards and the taste is far from authentic. I have had better food at a street stall in Shanghai. I would highly recommend to go somewhere else

Authentic chinese fares high up in the Swiss Alps ! Professional and friendly staff. Try the hotpot, it's just like in China.

Trying to book by phone, asking us if we are hotel guests, no, asking us if it's for the fondue, either, asking us again if we are hotel guests, still not, asking us what hour we would like to come, and finally, when we specify that it is with the gourmet passport, we tell us that it is full. It's a shame ! At least we know that we will never set foot in your home, dear restaurateurs, or hoteliers, it depends.

Good, fast, courteous service. Tasty and generously served dishes, but unfortunately no food warmer to keep them warm. Very regrettable. There is a lack of decoration on the tables which are sometimes stained and need to be covered. Beautiful terrace with grandiose panoramic view.

We ordered the Chinese fondue for them. It is completely modular to your choice. We were not disappointed. The "caquelon" is divided into two broths, one milkier for vegetables and mushrooms and the other more standard for meat. You have to choose the spicy Sichouan broth, it's a delight. Luckily the sun was out, the view from the terrace was magnificent.

Beautiful terrace with views of the mountains. Nice servers. Very good starter, main dishes mediocre. Too bad, nothing to keep the dishes hot.

Food is great but service was not good. Had to get up to ask to place a drink order and then a food order. Asked for an entrée and got it with main course. Other main courses arrived and 20 mins later mine. To add to the insult, a table that came in much later than us got their meals almost immediately!!!

Great chinese cuisine. Not all dishes impressed me, but I really loved the aubergine minced pork. The sweet and sour chicken is also great. I was impressed they had black sugar bubble tea in such a remote area. Bubbles were not perfectly cooked but the taste of the tea was as expected.

Very warm welcome, excellent Chinese cuisine, too bad the dishes were not on hotplates, we ate cold at the end of the meal. Local wine list highlighted. Very nice terrace with view

Extremely disappointing! Expensive and bad. Crispy beef...we're still looking for the taste of beef. Non-existent! Just a “grease” taste. The person accompanying me receives their dish when I finish mine. And his Peking duck...what can I say! They had forgotten to lacquer it but not forgotten to “burn” it. Tasteless Cantonese rice...we are still looking for the Cantonese garnish that accompanies the rice. In short, avoid at all costs!
