Restaurant Lok 7 in Arth

All waiters were friendly I had a great stay with makgeolli through the voucher. It’s been a while since I tasted Korea, so I’m really excited ㅠㅠ Before I ate, it was so cloudy that I couldn’t even see in front of me. It was clear after I ate it. If the weather is bad, I recommend resting here and going out.

The food is served quickly and the service is friendly. Just 30 meters next to the station.

Lovely spot if u happened to be around Mt Rigi🏔️ would definitely recommend this place. We were really surprised how tasty the food is, apparently they sourced their ingredients from local farms, I would say the food quality is at the best. Wine is amazing, really loved it we love to order a bottle but afraid can’t make our way down the mountain later😂 Very warm and friendly service as well, thank you and we will be back!

Unfortunately, the service experience was extremely unfriendly. When we arrived around 1am with two small children, I worried about their hunger and tiredness. It was important to me that they didn't cause any inconvenience to other guests. Unfortunately, we waited for almost half an hour, couldn't order, and my looks were ignored. I even picked up the menu myself at the counter. Due to the unrealistic waiting time, we decided to leave the restaurant. Two women who were looking forward to our table were also rudely rejected and left the restaurant. While I don't think families should be given preferential treatment, it would be desirable to be served faster or informed of longer wait times to better manage the parenting situation for everyone. By the way, the children remained calm and happy the entire time, so there was no disturbance on our part.

We had a fondue meal in January 24th, unfortunately I've never had such an inedible fondue, I wasn't the only one who felt that way, bread was old, unfortunately a bit disappointing... the restaurant didn't make a good impression on me either, man It was also pointed out several times that they close before 8…. We had to get on the train anyway so it was clear that we couldn't stay too long, but do you still have to tell the guest?

Reservations for months for 11 people fondue a discretion but they only had 4 fondue Gagglon, for all 11 people, after that they said sorry, unfortunately we don't have anything left. But a huge deal, everyone who hadn't had enough was allowed to order something a la carte ON THE HOUSE. A huge thank you to the team and the person who decided this and to the whole kitchen team👍👍 The spaghetti was very nice, but the dessert was somehow not edible. Nice view from the balcony of the restaurant. Friendly and attentive staff. Ordered home made beef lasagne and Rosti with Raclette and bacon for lunch. Both dishes are delicious and big portion for average Asian diners.

Not just for train fans: the Restaurant Lok 7 has a replica of the Lok 7 in front of the door and can only be reached with the Rigibahn from Vitznau or Arth Goldau, but it also offers solid cuisine, with an excellent Cordon Bleu and other delicious ones food and drinks. The service is attentive, courteous and humorous. All in all, you are very well served at the Rigi Sattel station. So you can dine like a king on the Rigi without even being at the summit. And there is also a wonderful view, not just of the train. In this respect, a clear recommendation not only for rail enthusiasts!

It's a nice restaurant with great, friendly and very attentive staff. We weren't asked if our dog wanted water, they simply brought it, first as an aperitif in a small bowl, then when a large bowl apparently became available, we received it. Very dog ​​friendly. The food (cordon bleu with Rigi Alp cheese and ham) was very tasty and I think the prices are absolutely reasonable. With coffee there are homemade cookies, also very tasty. The wild berry cake for dessert was light and super delicious.

This is a place where you can taste Korean menus and makgeolli, which are hard to find in Switzerland. You can also receive a discount if you bring a voucher with you (print it out and take it with you). It is a place you can visit while hiking down from the top of Mt. Rigi. It has a nice view and is very friendly. There are a variety of menus, and I think the Rösti and Makgeolli set menu is a menu that suits the Korean taste very well. Rösti is a potato pancake style dish made with chopped potatoes fried and goes very well with makgeolli. It was good to eat with other vegetables as well. The makgeolli tasted even better because I ate it here. The apple juice seemed a little watery and had an unfamiliar taste. Overall, the visitor experience was great and it is a great restaurant to visit for a unique experience.

I couldn't evaluate the food, atmosphere, and service. It was a restaurant where I had already thought about the menu. I went inside, but no staff told me to stop and wait without telling me where to sit. If you had told me where to sit, I would have waited. I saw a lot of empty seats, but I didn't get any response. The train time was set and there was a schedule behind it, so I just left.

Beautiful views! The staff was trying hard but absolutely terrible food! The rosti with raclette was greasy and bland. My husband ordered the pasta of the day which was some kind of pesto spaghetti. But the worst part was it had large shrimp on top which were clearly spoiled as you could smell the fishy odor before it even made it to the table! He ate it anyway because he doesn't like to make waves (no way I would've). Hope he doesn't have food poisoning!

If I have to say one thing it is: Lok 7 Restaurant stole my heart! And no, I'm not here to reclaim it, you're welcome to keep it. First of all, the staff: they are so friendly and personable that you feel like you belong to a big, happy family. They always make you feel welcome and comfortable and that is simply priceless. The food? Well, I'm pretty sure the kitchen uses some sort of secret potion. How else could they conjure up dishes that are obviously cooked with so much love and passion? I could always go there - and I mean that literally. If I could, I would make a bed there! The ambience is equally impressive, especially my favorite corner on the terrace with the incredible view. It is the perfect place to relax and forget about the world with good food, a glass of wine or the delicious Rigi beer. The menu is another plus point. It's clear and a real feast for the eyes - and even offers vegan options! The service also regularly checks whether everything is OK and whether we need anything else. That's what I call customer service! So if you're looking for me, you'll probably find me at Lok 7 Restaurant, enjoying the smile on my face and celebrating the good life. A huge thank you to the entire team for this wonderful experience and the love they put into everything.

I received a coupon from a famous Swiss travel cafe and bought a set of snacks and accompaniments ^~^ A can of makgeolli and Rösti (Swiss-style potato pancakes) cost 23 francs, and if you use the coupon, you get a 15% discount, so it costs 19.55 francs. It's about 30,000 won in Korean currency. They gave me a coupon when I ordered and even added a sprite. Just add 4.5 francs to get 24.05 francs, right? But they are calculating 27.50 francs~ Even if I asked 3 times if it was a discount, they said yes^^ In the end, they returned 3 francs, but there was no apology~ It was unfriendly ^~^ Also, where did the 0.45 francs go~~?? Friendly service and fine food. Good, clear menu with dishes suitable for the mountain and made from local ingredients (e.g. cheese from Rigi-Älpler). Prices are fair for a restaurant on the mountain and there are fine, changing daily menus. A clear recommendation for food on the Rigi and, in my opinion, one of the best addresses for served lunch on the mountain! Unfortunately, in recent months the opening times have not always been adhered to (earlier closing in bad weather) or companies have been closed more often. Especially in bad weather, the guaranteed opportunity to stop off at a good restaurant is important and also in the interest of the cable car (attractiveness of the mountain in any weather). However, the lack of staff was probably to blame and I hope that things will improve soon.
