Good food, not exactly cheap (but the food was worth it), friendly service.

I ate a menu with a glass of wine. I also ordered a glass of water. The bill said 4.20 for 3 dl of tap water. This is a rip off... I'm willing to pay something for water, but that price is NEVER justified.

The service was friendly and prompt, the vermiselle was good, served in a nice plate, unfortunately I was brought a normal coffee instead of a Kaffee Hag 🙈

We had an aperitif platter which was very generous, with fine cheese and meat from Jumi AG. You can choose and get your own bread. The service was very, very friendly, competent and organized.

I find that the meals are way too expensive. We pay for the location. Not the quality of the food. It was still good but I probably won't come back given the price and the number of other restaurants around.

Our rösti was completely burnt and inedible. The staff needed 20 minutes to serve 2 Coca Cola. The toilets were not cleaned or tidied up, a mess. We won't be coming back!!

The food and ambience were excellent! However, there was a little confusion at the entrance and we weren't welcomed for 10 minutes. Then everything was great!

Unfortunately, my Nüsslersalat, which was on the Rösti, was full of sand. I got a new side salad, but there was sand on the hash browns too. A pity

We sat very well. What we liked was the selection of dishes from eastern and western Switzerland. Attentive service, which also took our reservation including a small child into account very nicely. For the main course we had the mussels and one Rösti with pears and goat cheese. We found the prices reasonable, in the middle price segment for Swiss standards.

We had dinner there this evening and I was more than pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent and very tasty. The waitress was also very attentive and asked me when my drink was empty if I wanted anything else. Really thank you very much ☺️

Came to eat here today by chance. It was delicious. The starters and the dessert were reasonable in terms of quantity and price. However, I found the main courses very puny for the price. So if I pay over 28 euros for a vegetarian rösti, I expect a certain amount, at least to fill me up, or a little cheaper. Well at least that meant we had a dessert and it was very tasty.

The food was good. The service was bad and inattentive, you always had to draw attention to yourself otherwise nothing worked. The staff preferred to fool around. But the worst thing is that the restaurant is in the Celiac guide, only the staff has no idea about gluten-free nor does it understand the gluten-free symbols on the menu and vegan dishes were suggested to us as gluten-free. Luckily the kitchen knows what it's about. We won't go there a second time.

Perfect for families with young children!

It took a relatively long time before we were noticed. The staff didn't seem to be in a particularly good mood... The house iced tea and chai latte were really very sweet. For and almost no longer edible. It's unclear to me why I also received two sugars with the chai latte. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated, the atmosphere invites you to linger and the walk to the toilet is beautifully designed (coins on the floor, etc.).

I went there yesterday with my family and, after all, I didn't find anything exceptional. It is a very normal restaurant where you can eat Rösti which have nothing better than other restaurants, in fact the price is higher than average. The service, however, was excellent even if very slow, the strategic position saves it from any possible small criticism as it is located in a very central area. Value for money as already mentioned, perhaps a little expensive but overall worth recommending and trying it at least once.

I went there on Christmas Eve. They were friendly and the food was good. What I ate was risotto and potato pancakes.

Restaurant to avoid if you want to have a good time. We arrived around 3 p.m. with my partner to eat. The waitress told us which dishes were still on the menu at that time (those with an asterisk). We ordered 2 classic tartares with two portions of fries. Once received, the fries were missing. After 2 (two) reminders to the servers and a 35 minute wait, we finally received 1 (ONE) single portion of (top) fries. At the end of the meal, my companion, not having been able to finish her dish, the waitress made a comment to her about the fact that she really had to have a small portion next time and without fries because otherwise it would be a waste . No worries about the fries, we never received them! Concerning the tartare with a more than passable taste, no notion on the menu of the size (gram) of the tartare or possibility of taking a smaller one. Moved as a remark ultimately because the map is not at all up to date. During the bill, we were not warned that even if we expressly ordered the dishes available at these times, we would have to pay an extra 6.50 to open the kitchens. No words to apologize for the waiting time for the fries and the portion never received, not to mention the friendliness of the staff. In summary, apart from a pretty decoration, this restaurant should be avoided because of its deplorable service and its publishable and expensive food.

Modern, but still cozy. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. No long waiting times. The food was excellent! The price is also completely reasonable, especially when you take into account the central location. Recommended!

A modern take on traditional Swiss dishes. Located in the center of Bern, this restaurant has a contemporary but cozy decor. The menu includes a variety of meat, fish, and vegetarian dishes. And you can get roeschti (hash browns), of course. Service was fast and friendly.

Went around 2pm and got the Farmer Rosti. Oh. My. Goodness! So delicious. The sauce went well with the sausage. Not cheap though. Two entrees and two wine glasses ran us over 90. Staff was busy finishing up lunch service, so took a while to pay, but they were great! I love how everyone speaks multiple languages. I’m jealous.

Especially one of the waiters (with long hair) was very cold and rude. From the first moment to the ordering process, he was extremely rude and cold, but we tried to be friendly. The atmosphere was nice, but the food was not delicious, the Zurich-style roast dinner was not good, for example. We asked for grilled chicken on the menu, he said it wasn't available, but the people sitting after us were eating grilled chicken :) The staff especially needs to be more friendly and attentive. Paying money and not getting service is bad, plus the food is unfortunately bad.

We had our team Christmas dinner with a cozy raclette. The mulled wine was great and the raclette was perfect. If the temperatures are cold, you should dress warmly. Some people may have underestimated this a little, although I clearly communicated this in my invitation. At a team event, I might mention this verbally again. By the way, the service was excellent! I told him to wait more than ten minutes after checking out because I was in a hurry to catch the train, but he couldn't come. We were pleasantly surprised. We were at the restaurant relatively early. The food was good, chèvre chaud on hash browns. The price/performance ratio is right. Friendly service. My girlfriend and I were definitely not there for the last time.👍

Raclette from the small Rechaud was great. Good selection of cheese. White wine soup also good. Price/performance and service ok. A bit of a long wait at the beginning, but all in all recommended!

Raclette was fine. Unfortunately, the service leaves a lot to be desired. First of all, the rechaud didn't work for me and other people. Then waited 20 minutes for it and forever for the side dishes. When I asked for a coffee to finish: we didn't! No alternative, nothing! Luckily the company paid and I definitely won't go a second time.

I don't share the negative reviews. I can't rate the evening. But absolutely great at lunchtime! However, the portions for the main course are more like children's portions 😉 Service for drinks could be a little quicker. Food often comes before the drink. And my tip: not everyone is stressed about asking if they want everything in 20 minutes.

After the lovely weekend in Montreux, my partner and I wanted to stop off in Bern for brunch. We came across this establishment and although 52.00 per person thought it was a lot, the place looked good from the outside. HUGE MISTAKE. Despite the nice staff. The selection for brunch was very poor and didn't taste good at all! The scrambled egg was gross and had disgusting brown spots. The bacon tasted like McDonald’s and the hash browns were far dry. Not even the bread or the drinks tasted really good. In the end, spending a sum of 104.- on such a cheap and untasty meal was really painful. Never again.

A really good option to spend a morning or evening. Good breakfast, pizza, pasta as well as desserts and coffee. We come there often. Several times a week. The staff is neat. Clean, tasty, not particularly expensive, although the restaurant is located in the very center of Bern. But two small disadvantages were recorded. 1) if I want to pay, I have to look for and wait 20 minutes for the waiter to pay for my order. 2) a couple of times I saw a waiter, apparently from Ukraine, speak German poorly. And once I spilled beer on a friend of ours in this restaurant when I was taking out drinks. So I give it 5 stars. And I will come back here again.

Based on the name Röstigraben, you could expect more selection of Rösti. I recently ate there. On top of the Rösti is an unpeeled Cervellat! Grotesque. It's also too expensive for what's on the plate! What a bad picture for tourists. I will definitely avoid this restaurant in the future and will not recommend it. Charles from Vaud

We order a sip of tap water for our daughter. We get 50 CL for 3.80 (syrup is free) where is the logic here. I'm complaining. The waiter snaps at me. That costs 3.80. I will never go there again!

Rösti (gluten free) was very good and really filling. I appreciate that the menu has marked gluten free dishes. The service was nice and friendly.

Great food and service! Loved the self-serve bread station, it was better than the bread served with my meal. Strongly recommend the traditional Rösti, Swiss Pinot Noir and the steak tartare. Our waiter was prompt and very friendly.

We had the mussels marinière and loved our dish! The fries with it were also very good! The chocolate fondant for dessert was killer! The restaurant is also very beautiful and well located in the city center, and the waiter was very welcoming.

When I asked if there was a seat available on the way in, a waiter with mustache wearing glasses telling me to say hello first aggresively. Good food in a beautiful location. I found the prices to be a bit excessive for the quantity and quality of the food. We were served friendly.

Great place for a Sunday lunch, tasty tartar and fresh fish salad.... Aaaaalso the desserts are worth trying, we got some ice cream with Bailey's, well served with good portions, when in Bern I will come back for the Rösti!

Great for people watching! Great outdoor seating where you can relax and watch the day go by. Food was delicious! I ordered the Tick Tick sausage and loved it. My mom ordered the cheese onion tart and the cheesiness was out of this world.

We were a family (6) and wanted to have a coffee on the terrace which was almost empty. We sat at the back on 2 tables and 4 chairs, we took chairs to the side and the waiter, very unpleasant, spoke to us in English even though we were Swiss. My husband speaks to him in German and informs him that it's not possible, without offering us other solutions. We left very angry. If there are more than 4 of you, don't go to this restartant. The others around us made us very welcome and we were all able to eat at the same table on their terrace.

There were 6 of us having a coffee, we were about to sit down when the very aggressive staff approached us in English even though we are from Friborg and speak German. To tell us that there were too many of us that we couldn't sit down. We left straight away. I don't recommend.

Nice restaurant with fairly basic but effective dishes. On the other hand, the service is good. To make such a beautiful sunny terrace.

6 people ate well, cheaply and were served quickly. The fact that you had to distribute the plates yourself for soup and salads and the bill wasn't divided individually weakens the good impression. A little more commitment would be nice.

I ate rösti! The portions were large and there were a lot of ingredients, so I was full. It's a menu that everyone will like, including sausage, bacon, cheese, and eggs. The soup was good because it had a lot of vegetable flavor, and the aperitif bread was absolutely delicious!

Had sole and the smell reeked of stale fish. The kitchen said it was normal. Well, we were treated to a daily dessert by the very nice service. Thank you very much for that. Friendliness top food flop.

Today we ate at the Röschtigraben restaurant. Everything was completely to our satisfaction. There was an aperitif on the beautiful terrace, after which we were given the preferred place to eat in the restaurant inside. We were 4 people and had different menus. Everything fit perfectly, the food was beautifully prepared and very good. The service was top, we would like to thank Enrique for the very friendly service. We can recommend everything and would be happy to come back.
