Very friendly and good service. Food was very tasty.

Loved this place. Ordered the beef ribs (which was cooked to perfection), and the fondue (which was fantastic). The service was great too - the two people serving us were extremely helpful, very polite, had a great sense of humour and offered great suggestions. Highly recommended!

Great restaurant, had another super lunch there yesterday. Food is always tip-top, paired with well suggested wines. Friendly, knowledgable, multi-lingual staff. Can highly reccomend the dry aged pork chop and chocolate fondue. Looking forward to our next visit, thanks! :)

Wonderful restaurant next to the Novartis campus. The food selection was good along with the specials. All the food was flavorful and fresh and the service very attentive. Menus and service were multilingual so no hesitation in case of language barriers. We had orders of bone marrow, cordon bleu, tartare, wildrwgout and more across the table. Would highly recommend it if you are in the area

I had a wonderful evening at Rhyschänzli, the service was very attentive and friendly. The Cordon Bleu was excellent and my partner enjoyed the Manzo Brasato - which she also thought was great. We had 3 aperitifs, the Plättli, 2 main courses and dessert with espresso and Vielle Prune.

As always, Rhyschänzli is one of our favorite addresses for eating out in Basel. What we noticed: the portions are getting smaller, as is the dessert (meringues), unfortunately...

we were a group of 30 pax and had the fondue menu. The food was delicious! Also the vegetarian/vegan versions some people had was great. The service was, I guess, tooo stressed as the restaurant was fully packed. In my opinion too many tables in that location and too less service. Very sad. Atmosphere was not good, it was super loud and as I wrote above too many guests. The restaurant was packed up to the edge. not sure, if for a group event, we would come back. Still, the food and the cooking is perfect!

Excellent food and service. Some of the best fondue and meatloaf we’ve ever had. The surprise was how amazing the hazelnut ice cream was! The place was packed with larger groups and thus was noisy - keep in mind if expecting an intimate/romantic dinner. Would definitely return to try other dishes - the bone marrow and pork chops appeared to be popular.

As always, good atmosphere, good food with good service. Everyone enjoyed it very much. However, the desire arose to be able to eat something different. So maybe add to the map.

Very noisy but great beef tartare

The restaurant impresses with its unusual furnishings and a hectic and loud atmosphere. The service and the boss have everything under control and impress with their competence and friendliness. At lunchtime there are two daily menus at a normal price. Which were very good. What I didn't like is when you offer fondue at lunchtime and have no or poor ventilation.

Great food and an ambience that was a perfect balance of energy and intimacy, warmth and industrial/rustic. Our small group shared a fondue and a pumpkin pasta dish, both were excellent, and the entire experience from food to service was exemplary, 5+ stars for certain.

This was our second visit (first time in 2021)- we booked a reservation as soon as we knew we would be back in Basel, bc it was so great the first time. We live across the pond, so the time between visits was only due to lack of opportunity to visit more frequently. Rhyschanzli has a laid back, neighborhood atmosphere where every person is friendly and welcoming, but also food and a wine list that are stellar. Their fondue is one of the best we've tried, and will always lure us back anytime we are in Basel. The restaurant staff goes the extra mile to be friendly, professional, and have great knowledge/recommendations.

We enjoyed meatloaf and delicious homemade cordon bleu! For dessert, the little tiramisu is perfect. Rich and varied wine list, attentive welcome, all the more appreciable as there were a lot of people!

This is a cosy place with great food! We had an amazing fondue and great customer service experience, as they were very nice and accommodated our gluten-free restriction. We celebrated our anniversary there and they surprised us in the end inviting for our drinks. One of the best spots we've visited in Basel!

Venison saddle at its finest! Served with spaetzle and red cabbage. First of all, a nut salad. A fabulous fall dinner. It doesn't get any better. And we were received like kings. Thank you very much for this experience.

In the picturesque city of Basel, I came across a restaurant that not only met my expectations, but far exceeded them. The "Rhyschänzli" impresses with its elegant, yet simple ambience. The service was exceptionally courteous, polite and with an excellent wine selection. From a culinary point of view, the meal was an absolute highlight. I would particularly like to highlight the host Cyrill, who lovingly looks after his guests with his warm manner. Every visitor to Basel shouldn't miss out on the enjoyment at "Rhyschänzli" - it embodies authentic home-style cuisine at an exquisite level. The price-performance ratio is outstanding.

I love this place as it is next to a park with nice outside tables and lovely staff and good food ! Not many salad options though ! And wine list is limited and a bit overpriced .

This is probably a place worth stopping. Unfortunately, the evening we went there was a wedding and the staff were somewhat stressed. As an aperitif, the Prosecco was not fresh... Then, we ate a tartare, matchstick potatoes with, as an accompaniment, an Alten Reben Pinot noir from Adank from 2021. We were not made to taste the tartare, without probably machine chopped, which was very average. The matchstick apples were excellent and the wine was a little young. The atmosphere is (must be) very nice but we didn't have the best day. We will come back to it all the same.

Great service, drinks were very good, the food was excellent. Of course a little more expensive compared to other restaurants in Basel but it's totally worth it! We recommend.

A fish dish would be great on the menu, especially in summer. As a dog lover, it would be desirable for the service to automatically offer the dog a bowl of water; when we were there it was at least 30 degrees, that would be service plus 1. We would be happy to come back.

Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio failed completely here. Extremely overpriced, even by Swiss standards! And then you don't even get the quality that you would expect at this price. I definitely won't recommend it and won't come back, too bad...

We host a large dinner annually at Rhyschänzli and they are always reliable, accommodating, and the food is always very good! Angelica is friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend.

Went there for lunch for a team event. The food was good. But... for what you pay it should be more. It was really little. What a shame! Service was also good and nice. When I read rhyschänzli I actually expect something from rhy... none of it. Oh well. It was nice here but I won't come again.
