We went to the Stucki Restaurant for lunch for the first time. We received a voucher for the wedding and wanted to redeem it. The 3 course menu was excellent! The service was very, very friendly and accommodating. It's worth a visit and we'll be happy to come back! Thank you for the great experience.

We visited in February 2023 and had the 9 course Aroma menu. The most memorable dish for me remains the Jerusalem artichoke purée with truffles, which was simple and splendid at the same time, whereas both the fish and meat courses felt a little underwhelming (beef in particular ended up being quite chewy). That’s not to say that any of it was disappointing (well beef maybe), or that the attention to detail and thought that went into every dish wasn’t clear, but perhaps the net result was not an enduring sense of exceptionality. The service was friendly overall if a tad rushed at times, especially if you’re trying to keep up with your wine pairings. It also felt as if the expectation was we’re all to be in awe of the food like parties to a spectacle, which took away from the overall atmosphere and was not conducive to enjoyment. Stucki is definitely worth the visit but it may not top your gastronomical charts.

We enjoyed a wonderful evening in the Stucki restaurant. The welcome was very warm and we were led to our beautiful table with a view of the terrace, which invites you to linger in the summer temperatures. The service was very courteous and you felt cared for, seen and understood at all times. The sommelier knew about his products and gave us very good advice. The food was excellent as well as a sensation in terms of appearance and taste. For these many small reasons that make a meal at Stucki something special, the price-performance ratio is also good. We will be happy to come back and let you pamper us. We wish the whole team a wonderful Christmas time.

Certainly deserving of the second star, food excellent and at times sublime. Deep wine list, especially interesting selection of champagnes, if perhaps too many Swiss bottles. The young but professional staff performed well. Disappointing that the boss didn’t make an appearance at our very large table - but it was a busy night, perhaps next time.

An excellent restaurant. Everything was very good at our lunch. All courses on the menu were excellent. The food was of very good quality (duck and Wagyu were outstanding) and tasted impeccable. Grandits and her team have extensive craftsmanship - the 9 courses menu were like a flower bouquet of mindful taste from beginning to the end.. very elegant and precise in presentation and taste buds. The service team and Sommelier were very attentive and even arrange to speed up the food service and arrange a taxi so we could arrive in train station on time to catch the last train. Fully met our high expectations. Really well coordinated menus. We had both a classic and vegetarian menu, both highly recommended. Our highlight was the non-alcoholic beverage accompaniment. The dishes were visually beautiful, tastefully balanced, very delicate, just as you would imagine if you know Tanja Grandit's kitchen a little, and she also briefly greeted all the guests personally. Unfortunately, the dishes themselves are the only highlight, because the service unfortunately leaves too much to be desired: - a sommelier who primarily does not discuss and explain the wine and general accompanying beverage selection with the guest, but simply brings the drink. (But as a guest it would be exciting to find out more about the harmony of the flavors of food and drink) - and the sophisticated dishes, which deserve a lot of explanation, are presented precisely in the few words that can also be found on the menu; they are the three or four main components. So it's completely up to the guest to guess what they're eating. Overall, the service is at best standard - and that doesn't fit with the star cuisine. Unfortunately, there was no feeling of welcome and well-being during the entire visit to the restaurant, which is a shame. In addition, you just have to say, it is definitely too expensive. It's a shame, unfortunately the expectations were far from being met.

We treated ourselves to this very special experience for my birthday. Starting with a glass of wonderful rosé champagne in beautiful glasses, we had a truly unforgettable evening. The 9-course aroma menu with corresponding non-alcoholic drink accompaniment (each course had its own non-alcoholic drink) was perfectly balanced in its flavors and brought a smile to my face with every course. We also enjoyed the very profound and friendly advice from the sommelier and the entire service in particular. We felt very comfortable in the modern yet restrained color ambience. Definitely not something you do every day, but something extraordinary that I will definitely repeat. Thank you very much for the lovely evening.

From ideas refined such as deep fried capers to admitting that, honestly, Kentucky beef is better than any other, does not prevent this charming place from serving single barrel vin doux from the highest altitude vineyard in Europe. The staff makes you feel like a regular guest at once. I'd say a place that holds its promise in every way!

We went to Stucki for my birthday. The villa is modernly furnished with many natural tones and has a very calming effect. The overall ambience is stylish. Our table next to the window had a nice view of the terrace. The food was excellent. We decided on the aroma menu and the appropriate wine accompaniment. Although some dishes sounded unusual at first, each one was convincing. Perfectly coordinated flavors and a presentation of the individual courses that left nothing to be desired. The service was friendly and courteous and the wines were appropriate. We particularly liked the 1982 Adriano Ramos Pinto Vintage Port. All in all a very successful evening, gladly again!

The courtyard is really beautiful. The food is visually appealing and perfectly crafted. But for us only 3 out of 9 courses were exciting. The others were rather boring. The service consisted of many employees, some of whom were very uncoordinated. The French employee's language skills were borderline. You had to listen at the next table for details of the courses because she simply didn't say it.

The journey to Basel was absolutely worth it. A wonderful, super balanced and exquisite menu. My first experience with a female 2 Michelin Star cook. I do not want to push gender difference discussions. But since I dine stars I never experienced such a nice composition of colors - as for each single dish or if I put all courses together to a collage. The result is a whole harmonious painting. Just loved it and def will come back.

Tldr: Excellent food, excellent service. Two Michelin star restaurant that exceeds some of the three star places I've been too in the US. Got a last minute table here for dinner. The service was friendly and welcoming, as well as impeccable in every detail throughout the meal. The meal is advertised as nine courses, but in my case, they served twelve (thirteen if you count the bread and butter, which you should). Every course was excellent. The biggest stand-outs for me were the asparagus course and the fennel course - I think the fennel soup had the best prawns I have ever eaten. In the end, I felt that this restaurant was better than some of the three Michelin star restaurants I've eaten at in the US.

Some of the food was amazing, some ok, some oversalted or simply disappointing. Vegetarian main was unfortunately an adaption of meat main, which as usual in such cases, simply didn’t work. We both have a feeling, that even though food was good, it did not blow our minds (apart from two cases: tofu and surprise desert). Wine and champagne were amazing, so was service, until we left the house. The steps to the restaurant were covered with black ice and we only found out as my partner was sliding down the stairs getting bruised. That should have never happened!

"Stucki by Tanja Grandits" did live up to its 2 Michelin Stars. We visited on a Friday evening in December before Christmas and was the only Michelin star restaurant we could get a table at with short notice. We had the taster menu with the optional truffle dish added to the mix. The restaurant is very well laid out and the room we were seated in was sound damped which meant you could have a nice quiet conversation without hearing what others were taking about. There were maybe 4-5 tables in "our" room. Service was spot on and very tentative through out the 4 hours we went through the taster menu.The waiting time between dishes was close of being spot on which to me is very important as working your way through a tasking menu takes time... The starters were served by Tanja Grandits herself which was a nice touch. The Osetra Caviar and truffle dishes were served from a trolley by one of the chefs (photos attached) and overseen by two waiting staff to serve us the dishes. Over all, it was a good experience but I feel it maybe wasn't up to scratch when it comes to a 2 star Michelin Restaurant. This was the 8th Michelin stared restaurant we went to in 2022, and we have had better meals in 1 star restaurants tbh. This doesn't mean it was bad, on the contrary, it was fantastic but in compartment to others we were not too sure. Will we come back, yes for sure, when opportunity knocks and it's very recommendable. We took the 15 tram from outside our hotel at the Marriott in Basel and got off right in front of the Restaurant. Reverse order when getting home so could not have been better...

Had the aroma menu, once vegetarian and once with meat. Both simply incredibly good. Each course with countless flavors and textures that complemented each other perfectly. The wine pairing was sensational and went perfectly with the food. The service was also impeccable, friendly, humorous and attentive. The furnishings are very harmonious. At first it was almost too quiet, you almost didn't dare speak, but when the restaurant filled up it became much more pleasant. Of course the whole thing has its price. However, this one is entirely appropriate given the work that goes into each course. You don't have to treat yourself to something like this every day. We'd love to come back.

Disappointing - a lot of the flavour combinations just didn't work for me. Then the venison main dish came out dry and overcooked. Positives included a perfect cauliflower dish; the parsley ceviche and a strip of Wagyu beef. The wine pairing also showcased some very interesting examples.

A long-standing dream came true for me. I am enthusiastic about the philosophy that Tanja Grandits represents towards food and could hardly wait to immerse myself in this world of taste. Despite my previous expectations, we weren't disappointed one bit. We were warmly welcomed and shown to the terrace. Champagne for the aperitif and then the aroma menu with wine accompaniment. Tanja Grandits' visit to the table makes dinner something very personal. We were looked after wonderfully and very attentively throughout the evening by our waiter Laurent and the host Grégory Rohmer. Also a huge thank you to all the chefs and the rest of the service team, whose charm captured today's modern zeitgeist well and made us laugh more than once.

Second time we've been there in a year. This is without a doubt the best restaurant we have been to in Basel – all stars combined. It could further gain in precision in cooking and flavors to place itself in the top three in Switzerland. Our best dish was a piece of matured wagyu beef, served almost raw. The dining experience was both lovely/amazing. On your visit Basil Switzerland, do make the easy trip on tram #15 from downtown Basel, as it is easy and well worth the trip to enjoy all this restaurant has to offer. Do get a reservation and have fun enjoying the elegant experience.

Solid two Michelin stars, beautiful color compositions on the plates. The restaurant is quite large and relatively loud, service is ok but not very personal. Maybe a little too much hype about this restaurant and the chef? Expensive considering no premium products are used.

The second half of the menu was classic French, perfectly executed. The first half mixes in Japanese elements in a confusing manner. Sauer pickled radish or similar stuff in like all first four courses that shades most other flavors.

The Stucki with Tanja Grandit is well known. We wanted to be pampered for our spherical birthday. Reservations early are a must. We asked for vegan options and, apart from the butter and chocolate, we were presented with a symphony of options. Well looked after, in a beautiful location, high-class service. There are practically no words that describe these taste experiences. It was an unforgettable evening and we were able to have the 9 courses served at our own pace. Nothing was left to be desired. Once in a lifetime (or twice).

Top notch service. Dishes With interesting and slightly special tastes, it’s the Asian touch that you have to appreciate but can also attack your palate a little hard. The chef who visits each table while serving one of the dishes. But Gault Millau rating a little overrated even if a lot of things are at the maximum. There is a lack of finesse on your plate. Very good wine list.

Magnificent taste experience!! We were here for the first and certainly not the last time! These aromas, these play of colors! Great and exciting taste experience! It's not for nothing that Ms. Tanja Grandits is already twice chef of the year and has 19 Gault Millau points! But all the other chefs are top class too! The staff was very friendly, relaxed and helpful. The atmosphere is simple but very cozy. Of course a little more expensive, but for us it was worth every franc! Many thanks again to the whole team for this lovely evening!

Wenn ich vom Meister spreche, dann ist das nicht übertrieben.Der Meister in der Küche, einfach phänomenal, was er da zaubert. Nach einem Stadtbummel freuten wir uns auf einen Apéro mit einer Kleinigkeit aus der Küche auf der wunderschönen Terrasse des Hotel Basel. GRATULATION, es macht einfach Freude in so einer gemütlichen Atmosphäre einzukehren. Tolle Terrasse, bis ins kleinste Detail liebevoll eingerichtet, das Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir kommen immer gerne und jetzt wieder öfters. UG
