Rice Up! Stadelhofen in Zürich

Sorry but the portions that have been made lately are a disgrace!! I often go to Rice Up for lunch and the portions used to be okay. But for the past few months, what's been going on here has really been a disgrace. After 1/2 bite there is no more meat in the bowl. Rice is only filled to a third of the bowl. I won't come anymore.

Today I was at the Rice Up branch in Stadelhofen, which I visit relatively often. I usually get my bowl at the branch at the main train station. Unfortunately, I walked out today very disappointed and angry. I have never received such a small portion as today. When I asked the employee whether the portions had become smaller, he was told succinctly, "No." Up until now, I've always gotten a decent portion that was almost filled to the top, but that's what I got today a failure. I don't know whether you're on a savings trip or whether the employee is new and in his opinion wanted to do everything right. I'd rather go to Suan Long or Peking Garden, where I get full from the portions and also pay less I will only visit this branch if I have no other option.

Shameful that you get such a portion for 14.90 CHF. I've been to a lot of Rice Ups but I've never been served so little, so I can fit more in the children's box! Plus, he was extremely unfriendly, really disappointing and not worth the money!!!

Nice asian kitchen, where you construct your own bowl. Very eco-oriented. Cosy interiors combined with fresh and delicious food. Notes: It is all self-service once you get your meal off the counter, including dropping the used utencils into the waste bins after you finish your meal. On the plus side you can also pack what's left to go all by yourself too.

I had a bowl of cabbage here recently, and despite a double portion of vegetables, there was barely enough to even cover the rice underneath, let alone provide a reasonable amount of vitamins!

We delivery people have nowhere to go to the bathroom and these people don't get under our skin and don't let us enter. When all the restaurants stop!

Until now, the Rice Up! one of my favorite take away restaurants near Stadelhofen. I really liked the BeefBowl. Today I was unfortunately informed that they no longer offer the beef...... a scandal!!!!! I was then introduced to the new "grilled peas", which would taste like the beef... exactly... and then also 1.00 more expensive than the meat... Unfortunately for me there is no equivalent substitute :-( (Yes, I ordered it and ate it) This may have been my last time at Rice Up! It's a real shame that something tried and tested is simply canceled. (And it's not just me)

I love this place. super central and uncomplicated. The food is very good! I highly recommend the meatballs. The atmosphere in this Rice Up is very inviting and cozy. I was served very quickly and friendly. I found all the employees well positioned and helpful! Above all, I come here almost every day and recommend it to everyone who is reading this ;-)

Expensive, but it is possible to feel well fed.

I like their food, easy to eat on a busy day and a very full meal. The portions are big and the price is reasonable. A very nice Asian Fusion Cuisine.

Disappointed by the tiny portions in toogoodtogo boxes, not even half of what it used to be. (And most of it is corn, no other vegetables) And on top of that, the taste was horrible. Just corn, rice and a ridiculous quantity of soy sauce. Eat too salty. The one at HB is much better, go for it if you can choose.

Functional. Ambience OK Service nice. Help with advice. Quick resettaunted. Functional.

I've noticed this several times now. For the same price, the portions in the evening are always larger than at lunch. I see how people always complain about whether a little more is being made, which affects all employees. That's not possible, sorry, it's rice. It would be correct to always provide the customer with the same portions regardless of the customer frequency or time. Thanks for noticing.

Very tasty food (satay sauce and chicken meatballs) and very comfortably furnished.

Food is good here, but the service can be better. We came late, and the server charged us second portion when we asked for more meat as he obviously put a half portion before. Just be mindful when they serve you and ask for the full portion.

We go there often. Quiet and cozy. Staff always very friendly and uncomplicated. Rice wasn't completely cooked today but that doesn't normally happen.

Ordered double chicken in a bowl because one wasn't enough... still too little because the guy behind the counter was making sure the ladle wasn't too full... Sad…

Great GF place, tho a little pricey

Food is good. The food selection allows you to choose between different rice/noodle types, combining with different meat types or tofu. Adding veggie or salad and a topping. I really like the choice and the free combination possibility. The prices are moderate for Zürich standard, but the food portion size is also small. Positive is the usage of compostable bowls instead of plastic. The tables and the floor is very clean. Staff is friendly.

The food is good, but expensive considering that the bowl, cutlery and pot are made of plastic. Also, they sit on a rather uncomfortable stool. On top of that, you then have to collect the plate yourself on a tray. The toilet, very clean.

Great and fresh food, and good pricing. We are a group who come here every week. Our only wish is that there would be a weekly or monthly special. The menu otherwise does not change and becomes boring for the regular customers. If the "Rice Up!" team can please explore this, as an easy way to retain customers.

Very good price for a good meal. The flavors are well enhanced, the spiciness just right. The ladies at the inn are very friendly and attentive. Very difficult to match.

Portions at Stadelhofen train station are embarrassingly small. I know it differently from Rice up.

You can't rate food here, they just offer rubbish and very bad food. Free warning, don't go here, I warned you whoever goes and doesn't write a bad review is your own fault and should learn to read. Service is a disaster for all employees not clean. So now you know everything.

Extremely meager portion for the price. Bowl was 1/4 full, when you asked for more rice you were met with a disrespectful: "little???!!!" rejected. Customers are not taken into account. Addendum: Nothing has improved in the meantime. You pay a lot and get nothing in return. If you ask me, that's a complete impudence

It is a chain, dedicated to gluten-free, modern diner style. Lots of light and color, cleanliness, spaces. Even outdoors. Possibility of choosing between already combined dishes and others with free combinations. Friendly service, prices in the Swiss average. Well.

Quickly put together. Portions are usually enough to satisfy hunger. The ceiling of the restaurant is very low and the space is therefore a bit narrow.

Good concept. Food tastes good. Vegi chicken is a bit sweet, but I think it's good, you have the choice. I like to take it every now and then.

I often go to this "fast food" place and I really liked this branch. It works like all the others, you assemble your bowl with a base of rice, noodle or salad, a protein of your choice, vegetables, sauce and topping and you pay based on the protein you choose. The portions are very generous and the prices are normal. There are also several interesting drinks. There are two floors with tables where you can enjoy your bowl. Fast, convenient and good

Visited Rice up for the first time! And we were absolutely thrilled. Very friendly staff, good portion sizes and overall very tasty! I personally really liked the atmosphere on the upper floor. :)

Modern furnishings, everything functional, no-frills. Very clean toilet. There would be no need for continuous music.

I am using rice up at least twice a week. I love the food. The new location is excellent. Very nice interior design and much more space than on Zurich HB. The only issue is they do not put enough sauce. Not even a full spoon. I do not mind paying extra, but when I asked for more they only added a few drops more. The staff in all locations needs to be trained in the same way, so the quality and quantity is the same!

Usual Rice Up quality. Fresh ingredients, very decent portion sizes and fair prices. There is now also a great selection of vegetarian options. Exactly what I missed about the take away offer around Stadelhofen. Always my pleasure! :)

Food is very good, but still expensive as a student. The employees should also treat themselves to more rice and meatballs, I also pay 13.90 or so…
