We finally found some information (I do not recall how) that the Swiss Fondue House had moved inside a hotel but that was after our experience.We noticed the Rigi House was very busy and we were told the wait would be about 15 minutes. In only about 5 we were escorted to a two-top table at the front, looking out the open front into the street which was nice. It was then that my wife who was facing the interior of the restaurant commented that everyone in the restaurant was Asian, which we thought odd. It seems like there was also a lower and upper dining room and everyone coming out was also Asian. Then about a dozen and a half Asians walked in and immediately went to the upper room and sat down. My mention of the Asian clientele is not meant to be racist but merely to point out the experience of our visit which impacts dining wait times and authenticity of a business that is already not what we expected since we surmised that there were new owners of this business and their customers taste would most likely dictate the dishes served. My wife then noticed that all the diners had the same dishes, just coming out at different times. The food was somewhat slow coming out of the kitchen because of the large volume of diners. I will tie this all together in a minute.Now my wife is not a fondue fan and ordered a salad while I ordered the "Moitee-Moitee" a fondue with a blend of two swiss cheeses. Now later as I looked at the menus of both restaurants I find them virtually identical. Furthermore, there is a Tripadvisor listing for The Original Fondue House Luzern with the same menu at the same address. Nuts. still confusing. I believe you could use this name on Tripadvisor to find the menu for this "Rigi" location. So while a bit soggy salad arrived, my fondue arrived with both bread and fruit (fruit extra $) and I have to say that it was wonderful. The portion, while not inexpensive (like everything else in Switzerland) was large. I am a large man and have a healthy appetite. On the other hand, like Gnocchi, you can only eat so much, and when you are done you are done. My meal was washed down with a local Luzern brew, Eichhoff which is likewise delicious.So all in all if you are looking for fondue this is a nice place to visit. My take on it is that this location is a stop for tour groups (I should note that the restaurant was VERY quiet given the number of people (internet says it seats 150). I believe that the Swiss Fondue House either still owns this location and operates it with the same menu but services the tour industry while they have a second location in the Hotel Falken nearby OR the simply sold the location and allows it to use the same menu. My caveat would be that you may experience extended wait time for a seat as well as for your order to be delivered due to the large number in groups. But if you can deal with that it is certainly worth a try. Oh, and we did discover we were sitting next to one of the tour guides and a bus driver which tends to confirm that it is a tour-stop.I still want to try the Falken hotel location (which was the one continuously recommended to me but would have no hesitation returning to Swiss Rigi House for very good fondue.

We popped in for fondue for dinner. From the time we walked through the door the staff was very welcoming. The portion size is more than enough for 2 people. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the food!

Pelo jeito sou a primeira avaliação mas já queria dizer que adorei. O local é aconchegante , o atendimento é cordial e o foundee de queijo sensacional! Fui muito mal tratada em outra casa a fomos tentando comer foundee e me senti acolhida nessa.
