The food was ok, we didn't order anything complicated. But the service... disastrous... Maybe the woman was having a bad day. We're not coming back

Very good restaurant in Bern's old town not far from the Zytglogge tower. A reservation is recommended. We had dinner there early in the evening on Saturday. The cuisine is very good and creative. I had a carrot variation where the vegetables were prepared five different ways. The service is friendly and uncomplicated in the Bernese way. The atmosphere is cozy. The prices in the upper range are justified for the quality.

Food was different than on the menu. (Bratwurst with tomato sauce instead of currywurst). Service also very bad

What has changed? The once great service was now surprisingly poor. Although many tables were free, we were only given the choice between the table directly by the toilet or a table in the aisle. Finally we were given a table for four with the threat that if anyone else came, they would be seated next to us. Even though everyone in service was rushing around hectically and the restaurant was already empty, you had to wait a long time for service. The mussels were sensational as always. When paying with a credit card directly at the bar, the waitress pushed me into the aisle with a short "excuse me" because she had to go to the cutlery and pushed me back in front of the credit card terminal with a second short "excuse me" because she had to go through the aisle .

Good food and good service, it is always good if you are welcomed with a smile. We loved the cozy environment.

Very cozy atmosphere and delicious food.

The service and location itself was good, but I found it very unusual to find spare ribs in a restaurant. Unfortunately they were over-seasoned and disappointing.

Unfriendly waitress, not a smile, we absolutely did not feel welcome. No effort was made when her responses in German could not be understood, so she spoke even more softly. Too bad because the meal was good.

Not a vegan dish. What a shame!

It was the WORST poke bowl I have ever eaten: with old hardened and cold rice taken from the bottom of the fridge where it had been sitting for 3 days, with half-cut, half-crushed avocado that was not very tasty, with edamame with an unpleasant aftertaste.

Sitting under the trees in Ringgenberg-Pärkli in summer is always nice. The food was really good. The service was very friendly and quick. The food was served surprisingly quickly.

Good bar, cozy atmosphere, great location, nice interior and good beer.

The right place for a relaxed Sunday morning brunch. Easily accessible location with great views.

Saturday lunch view on place always active. Dog welcomed!! It was well cooked and a good moment. Particularly recommand the pulpo salade amazing!

About Ringgenpark: The food is great and the service is very nice. The exorbitant prices for bottled water are a bit strange - there is no tap water. In summer this is not only unfriendly to customers but also negligent. The irony is that the toilets advertise “water for water” – tap water for a good cause.

Big praise to everyone involved! The food and drinks were first class! Only recommend!

Very nice terrace in the park, the mixed starter plate, goat cheese & couscous were very good. Unfortunately we weren't served very friendly.

Excellent mediterranean restaurant in the middle of the old town. The flavors were amazing and service excellent. We tried 2 vegetarian dishes and came away impressed with the taste and presentation both. Would come here again to try their new specials.

Excellent service...the food, spectacular!

Service is awful. The waitress was racist against my guest (she’s black). She refused to set my guest’s cutlery and serve her food. She literally threw the cutlery and food at my guest. General demeanour of someone who thinks they are better than serving a black person. She should be treated at a mental hospital before serving anyone. Dreadful experience, I am embarrassed to have taken my guest here. Go somewhere else, not recommended even if this is the last place on earth that serve food

Sit in the garden in the middle of Bern and enjoy dinner. The food was very good. The ribs were buttery tender. The service friendly and attentive. The price is rather upper limit. We enjoyed the evening.

The favorite restaurant in Bern. Always super fresh food, everyone can find something. Cozy, both inside and outside.

Found this place on a whim heading back to Geneva, and would come back just for this restaurant. We got salad of fresh green leaves for starters. I got the Casarecce Pasta (green and white asparagus, peas pecorino, black pepper) although I could have sworn it had garlic in it, and my coworker got the beef tartare. Would go back for just the beef tartare because it had spice to it, a tomato base/paste of some sort, and plenty of pickled flavors. I love alliums and flavorful food, so these dishes hit the spot for me, and, coming from a diverse dining scene in Los Angeles, I gravitated towards the restaurant’s inventive menu.

This restaurant is amazing! The service is extremely friendly and enthusiastic. From appetizer to dessert. Every one is delicious. Perfect night thanks!

The Cozze were very tasty, would be happy again. The restaurant is quite small, but it's worth making a reservation. Service was very friendly and quick.

Food is good and fresh, view, is amazing. But the service was kinda keeping me from going there...

Food was well made and nicely plated. petite tender was good BUT considering the cost of a 2nd Cut i really expect more than 130-140g of beef. Over all, the portion sizes were a bit on the smaller side. The staff is very friendly, but struggled a bit with understanding swiss german.

Service: at first we received a friendly welcome, then only the food and drinks were put out. Dirty glass was wiped off, not replaced, used glasses from the aperitif remained on the table until the end. We ordered moules, which are known to be eaten with your fingers. Usually you put lemon water out to clean your hands after eating, nothing. The wine was only poured once, and there was no question about dessert because the waitresses walked past the table. Am very disappointed. Previously 5 Stetne today only 2.8

The mussels are excellent, but the service is poor, something is seriously wrong with the unpleasant attitude of the waiters.

We went there for a birthday dinner, and the overall experience was disappointing. The shared salad bowl was tasty and fresh. The vegetarian dish hiwever had dry pieces of polenta, with overall little flavor and lack of some sauce to make it more interesting. We thought the daily fish plate was very expensive at CHF48, considering the somewhat pedestrian peas and mushroom veggies that came with it. Our server was curt to the point of being unfriendly, never came by to ask if we wanted another glass of wine, and no thank you or good by when we left. Considering the price point of the place not very satisfying.

Menu2 with Cordonbleu was so dry that half a liter of water was needed to get it down. ...and to be honest, sweet potato puree wasn't exactly suitable either..

I give one star for the location. Otherwise a very unfriendly and unpleasant old waiter.

The food is very good and the service was very friendly. As a guest you feel a bit disoriented but overall it's a top restaurant.

Had lunch there recently. There was a lunch menu, I chose the fish (sea bass). After one bite of the fish, I couldn't eat any more. The fish tasted very bad, I think it was bad. Inedible. I know what sea bass tastes like, otherwise one of my favorite fish. The waiter comes to clear away. The usual: “Did it taste good?” was probably just a rhetorical question. He wasn't particularly interested in the fact that the fish was probably bad (I also pointed this out to him so that it wouldn't be served). At most a tired, quiet sorry came across. The invoice came with the full amount. Never again.. That was on 11/29/22

Good food. The friendly service. Our food took a long time and they got our dish wrong so we had to wait longer. But they rewarded us with 2 free glasses of wine, which was appreciated. I don't think it's a place to go with children.

We were in Ringgenberg for the first, but certainly not the last, time. We had a bit of time pressure because we had to go to the concert afterwards. No problem. We got there ahead of time, received a very friendly welcome and were able to place our order during the aperitif. The mussels were absolutely first class and the service was quick, efficient and very accommodating. Exemplary! Many thanks to the whole team.

I found it comfortable. The food was very nicely prepared. The taste was also good and very seasonal. I could tell that the ingredients were very fresh.

The service was fast, but the food was sub-par. I loved the fries but could barely eat the Poulet (which did not taste like lemon at all). For the price, the burger was disappointing and small. The salad contained half a tomato and was not entirely fresh. We would not eat here again.

Very warm welcome, impeccable service

Place in the centre, near the clock tower in a street where trams pass, quite busy. Also located in an adjacent garden, we ate outdoors. Swiss service... not very interested in the customer. You sit if there is room, there is no interest in managing the wait. We ate on average well, with particular spicy flavours, on average expensive, but in line with Switzerland.

Just came out on a very unfriendly service. He didn't give me the menu, and he came to take orders and looked at me with a contemptuous look. Unkindly responded to questions about food, and even received an answer that the food ordered was not available. Then why did you write it on the menu?

Eating in the Pärkli: Never experienced it in Switzerland. One star goes to the location. Operation uncertain and very slow. Price absolutely not appropriate for the portions. Small changes to the dishes (swapping mayo with chillimayo) were not possible. Never Again!

This review does not grade the culinary performance, but rather the customer service: terribly bad. After I sat down at a tiny table on the terrace without being noticed in any way by the staff (despite making eye contact), a young waitress arrived shortly afterwards and told me that the tables outside were all reserved for guests who were also eating be. Mind you, there was no sign of a reservation on the table I was sitting at. There were many guests at the other tables who were just drinking an aperitif. There were two women in the background, obviously known to the waitress, who had supposedly made a reservation. When I asked if there was a free table inside, there was no answer at all, in other words, I was simply complimented. Quite a nice style!

Totally overcrowded heater. Zero atmosphere, service is extremely unpleasant (especially the blonde one). Unfortunately, the team leader doesn't make things any better. I have no idea how they got their good reputation.

Great menu, excellent food and great idea with the olive oil and bread on the table. Sometimes it doesn't take much to make your guests happy!

This restaurant remains a mystery: the prices are "proud" and the food is subject to great fluctuations. Not for the first time we had ordered something different from what was served. When the two of you pay almost 200 francs for a meal and a bottle of wine, you don't exactly leave enthusiastically. The best way to go is with the fine tapas.

Have you ever seen yourself collecting water from a fountain in the middle of Switzerland? 12 francs for water that you can get from hundreds of famous fountains spread across the city...end.of the trail....

To my disappointment, today we went to the restaurant to say goodbye to our trip to Switzerland and as every rule has its exception in 13 days of travel, this was the only time that we were not treated well throughout Switzerland. When delivering to the restaurant we still asked about opening hours....but we were surprised by the manager, not at all polite, requesting that we had to place the order quickly...the result was expensive, raw, unattractive food. I definitely don't recommend the place, despite it being very well located... We asked for the owner who unfortunately was not present...

The waitress was nice and helped us choose food and drink and did it very well. The only downside was that the wine we received was no longer good and fresh, so I reported it and the man behind the bar loudly and arrogantly said it was a new bottle... inappropriate behavior ☝ you can express your comments a little more quietly and discreetly, rather than in front of the whole room The lady brought us new wine, which means they opened a new bottle (...) and the wine was much better!

This place is a hidden gem. The food is exceptional and the space is cozy. The decor is functional. Fresh ingredients and tasty food with warm and efficient service. Not to miss - the Coq au Vin made with organic Swiss countryside chicken and the grilled octopus salad which is an inspired take on Spanish style Gambas picantes. Goes full even on weekdays so booking recommended.

We, three friends, enjoyed a brunch on Sunday with pigtails, jam and butter as well as cheese, fried eggs and salmon. Kaffi & Prosecco ;) Up to now I've only ever visited the terrace, but inside it's nice and cozy, friendly service, bright rooms. You feel good.

We like to come to Ringgi-Pärkli to eat. A cozy place with friendly staff and fine food. Good value for money! What more do you want? Highly recommended!
