Excellent choice for eating traditional Ticinese cuisine

Very fine pizzas! Very fast, friendly and uncomplicated service. Everything was great, we would love to come back.

Excellent and fast service. The menu always offers seasonal proposals in addition to typical dishes. The pizzas are excellent and during the week there are always 2 first courses, 2 second courses and a vegetarian dish which change daily

Carbonara was wonderful, our shrimp app and caprese salad were also very good!

I came for dinner today and I loved it! I had the traditional risotto and my husband had bolognese pasta. The dishes were delicious and well served. We even saw several tables ordering pizzas. I recommend! Price is average for the region.

The pizzas are fantastic, the service was fast, I finally ate a Tiramisu but I forgot to take photos, it was really delicious, I will definitely be back, it's an experience to do again.

I made a reservation, everything went very well with a friendly welcome in the evening, even with a name! It was a nice evening with good food (osso bucco with polenta) in a good atmosphere

Very disappointing. Salad tasted like nothing, the salad dressing was sour and tasted 1:1 like unrefrigerated ready-made salad dressing. The polenta with veal knuckle for a proud 38 francs was not very tasty. Polenta too dry and bland. The veal shank sauce could easily have been a pure corn bouillon sauce. I also think 6 francs for tap water for 0.75L is a little excessive. That's why I don't understand the many good reviews here at all. What a shame!

We had take away of 2 vegeterian pizzas .. since the chef was making fresh pizzas infront ( inside the restaurant as you enter)i could ask him to put some hot chilli oil geneously.. and he did the same 😀.. we enjoyed the pizzas very much.. it was lovely.

Excellent restaurant, excellent service from the old guard waiters (the young people were a little distracted but nevertheless kind). The food was really good, excellent meat. I recommend it, even if at first glance it seems like a tourist restaurant it is not at all like that. We tried several dishes and they were all perfect. Owner present and attentive to customers. Pizza Bianca was very good and so was the Scaloppine al tartufo bianco with risotto. Only the risotto was cooked a little too long. Unfortunately service wasn't that attentive.

I am writing for Russian speakers, a restaurant in the center of Lugano, a very tasty salad with pumpkin seeds and delicious tiramisu. In 10 years of living in Italy, I have not eaten anything like this.

We came for dinner with my partner. They welcomed us kindly and made us sit right away. Attentive, professional staff 🔝. I took one of the typical dishes, the rösti with porcini mushrooms, excellent. Exceptional meat and vegetables, abundant dishes. Very homemade. I recommend it to everyone really super. Compliments!!!

Love the place and the food the staff are wonderful!! We keep coming back!! Very friendly to foriegners and they even tell us before hand if the food has pork or alcohol.

Large pizzeria restaurant in the center near the lake and the Casino. Medium-level and super welcoming trattoria location with plenty of seating both inside and outside. Vast menu with abundant and tasty dishes, many local specialties such as mixed cheeses and risotto with mushrooms, quick service.

The food is ok, just its too slow, I waited so long, so do not go there when you are really hungry, and the dish vitello milanese cost 48 fr is a bit expensive.

Restaurant bar where coffee costs 2 francs until 11.00. Beautiful terrace on Piazza Dante. A little dark inside. It's hard to read newspapers.

Food very good, friendly service

A cozy and rustic restaurant with retro diner vibes. The menu offers a wide variety of Italian dishes with additional seasonal ingredients! In our case it was porcini mushrooms and possibly pumpkin. We started with a very nice pumpkin bruschetta as an appetizer. Then we ordered lasagna and pasta dishes (tagliatelle with salmon & one with porcini) with some house wine. Pasta and produce were fresh and tasty but I found the sauces a bit too strong and heavy. The waiters were all super friendly and attentive and we would come back when visiting Lugano!

First time there today, pizza was great, service was also good, prices were also in the green. Toilets clean. Keep it up.

I passed by a random shop and found the best pasta in recent days. The texture of the pizza was unforgettable. It was crispy but not hard to bite. It was not like biscuits, which was a bit hard to describe. The store is very full, but the service staff is still friendly. It came with bread, but the portion was very large, so I didn’t eat the bread. I will visit again if I have the chance. It is a 4-star restaurant on Tripadvisor.

It is a big yes for this place. Fast service, food is super delicious. Waiters are attentive to you although the place is packed lunch time.

Stop in Lugano, we go to Commercianti. I've tried other places, but Commercianti is remembered with pleasure.

We go there regularly when we are in Lugano. We have never been disappointed. Risotto and other pastas are very well served. The terrace is well located and regularly full.

Great food, big portions, affordable prices, kind waiters and a relaxing atmosphere in the center of Lugano! Pizza and pasta were very good!

I was there in the morning for a cappuccio and wasn't served for 15 minutes, then I left. In the afternoon there were several service people, but even then it took a long time and only after several requests before we could pay. The Ticino platter, on the other hand, was very tasty.

We had to wait for the waiter for more than 30 minutes. We tried to stop other waiters but they only answered that they cannot take the order and we kept waiting. We asked for still water (it's 6 CHF btw) but we got sparkling. We ordered a caprese salad with fresh basil but we got it with salad leaves instead. If they run out of basil or any other ingredient or want to replace it, at least they should mention it. We waited another 40 minutes for pizza that we shared and we didn't get individual plates, we couldn't catch the waiter to ask for it. In the end we waited for ages for a bill and even longer to pay so we were about to lose our train. Food was okay but service way before average.

The real rating would have been 3.5, but the tiramisu being excellent, very light, I couldn't give it 3. So it's good value for money, but it's not necessarily a restaurant you'd immediately want to return to. You get just what you pay for. But that doesn’t mean the tiramisu is excellent 🤩

Very long waiting time. The wine and water carafe were very dirty inside, real residue, not washed out properly... but these were replaced without any problems. They were a little cleaner afterwards. The food was ok. Unfortunately my son's menu came wrong. The waiter was very helpful and nice, but he had far too many tables to serve and couldn't do justice to the guests at all. I would definitely not recommend it.

Waited around 30 minutes nobody came to our table. The waiter who sat us just completely forgot about us I guess. Luckily there was a trusty McDonald’s around the corner.

Food was super tasty and a large selection of food and drinks. Very friendly service, but was very busy. The restaurant was very busy as many restaurants in the area are closed on Sunday evenings. Had to wait a bit, but it was definitely worth it.
