Capri is not an exception, just another one which is not outstanding. Here's the experience in short: Atmosphere & Place 6 ½: The "Capri" didn't cure my homesickness. I couldn't find anything in the furniture and atmosphere linked to the magic Italian island. The restrooms were tidy and clean, but they needed renovation work. The location is excellent. Seefeld is one of my favourite Zurich districts. A few steps away from the lake and well connected with the city and business centre. Parking is complicated everywhere in this area. The best option is the costly parking in Opera Platz. Menu 5: I wanted to give a go to one of the Italian tradition's most straightforward and delicious pasta recipes. The ”spaghetti aglio, olio e peperoncino”. It was a big delusion, mainly because the waiter told me this was a unique way of cooking this recipe. On top of the pasta, they placed some parsley leaves that I don't recall in the original recipe. I was supposed to have fried breadcrumbs, but I had oily pieces of bread instead. The only good thing was the quality of the pasta "al dente". Service 6 ½: The staff was friendly, and I highly appreciated they were speaking actual Italian. I didn't like that they only talked to me, collecting orders and asking from the other guests. Bill: the airline paid for the stay. I can't say anything about it.

Unsere Quartierbeiz mit guter Auswahl. Auch für Vegetarier bestens geeignet. Die ausschliesslich frischen Zutaten haben ihren Preis, aber Qualität gibt's nicht billig. Für Zürich aber absolut fair.

Seit über 10 Jahren sind wir immer wieder gerne ins Capri gekommen. Leider hat sich die "Seefeldisierung" mittlerweile auch im Capri manifestiert. War es doch einmal ein angenehmes Restaurant wo man auch als Familie zu moderaten Preisen eine gute Mahlzeit einnehmen konnte, versucht man sich heute als etwas besonderes zu präsentieren. Leider gelingt dies nur was die neuen und erhöhten Preise betrifft (CHF 32.-- für eine Calzone???) So hat man generell die Speisekarte verkleinert und die Preise einfach mal ziemlich erhöht. Das Ganze wir noch "verfeinert" durch die lieblose und (fast schon) arrogante Gastgeberin. Das Capri ist definitiv nicht mehr auf unserer Liste. Man wünscht Glück mit dem neuen Konzept.

Nach nochmals 10 min hat er mit Verzweiflung von dem Ärger mit der Küche erzählt... Endlich, nach 50 min haben wir ohne Entschuldigung oder Kaffee/Dessert offeriert unsere Pizzas bekommen.
