Caught very fine pizza. We spontaneously made a reservation for a large group on Saturday evening and (only) had to wait a short time.

Very tasty pizza, fine and beautifully decorated salad, nice ambience. Price-performance fits. It's just a shame that there was so little going on on a Saturday evening. I hope the restaurant continues to gain momentum in this regard.

Beautiful atmosphere, the staff very friendly and attentive. Food very good and beautifully presented. Unfortunately, some of the pizza's base was a bit burnt, but it was so good that it was hardly a problem. But I'm looking forward to the next one with a browned instead of blackened bottom.

A very nice restaurant right at the harbor in Romanshorn. A wonderful ambience with Italian flair! The service was extremely courteous and competent. The dishes are very fine. The selection on the menu includes typical Italian dishes and also a few specials - although there could be a little more of the latter.

We were in the restaurant yesterday (10/21/23) with 3 people and 2 small dogs. The waiter was very accommodating. The dogs were immediately given a bowl of water. Service was excellent and our request for a break between courses was met without any problems. Food was excellent. Price performance absolutely good! Always my pleasure!

Very nice restaurant, nice service. Pizza was half half... great pizza dough but the topping wasn't quite to my taste. Tomato sauce a bit watery and not enough of the ingredients for me.

A wonderful place to enjoy and relax

The ambience is inviting and beautiful. The food (pizzas) and presentation are good. The price is also okay. On the first visit the service was reserved and not attentive. Plates were not put away and at the end no one asked if a coffee was wanted. After another visit, we noticed that the service had improved, which is why I would like to adjust the rating.

I went to Porto with two friends in the evening in the summer. It was a great evening! The food was absolutely great, starters and main course were great and a great wine pairing with competent advice. We had different dishes and were all very satisfied. The atmosphere in the restaurant is wonderfully modern but still very cozy and the view of the harbor in the evening is simply sensational. A new favorite Italian. I will gladly come again. Thanks to the team for the good service and the delicious food.

Food and ambience great, service mixed

My second visit within 10 days. Service was poor on both visits. Service today on the terrace at 2 p.m Not noticed when we arrived, walked past us often, picked up the menu ourselves. Rude, short, a robot would have been friendlier. Our food and that of other guests were brought on ONE tray and placed on our table, supported by the waiter's leg. Completely unprofessional, we never even saw something like that in a mountain hut. I had another concern and the waiter from afar responded with the question, “What do you want? Just as loudly as he asked the question, I shouted my wish to him. The other guests turned their heads to us. An older couple was also served indignantly because they answered the question of the waiter B.A., who spoke standard German. didn't understand it the first time. I think it's a shame that your very nice restaurant in this top location has such bad, unprofessional staff.

Wait over 1 hour until the pizzas are served. We were a group of 10 people. Other guests who came after us received pizzas and were already eating dessert. We had to pour the wine ourselves, no asking from the staff. The place was at most 1/4 full. Apparently there is only one open for 3 pizzas. A reordered drink took 15 minutes. The carbonara was oversalted and anything but a real carbonara, probably a creation of the chef. A pizza couldn't be served because they had an "accident" with it in the kitchen, another 15 minute wait. (The pizza was then 1 minute underbaked) There was no question as to whether the food was good, given that the carbonara was uneaten. Empty plates weren't cleared away for over half an hour. Yes, it's a shame that they didn't know who was among the guests. Unfortunately, the attempt to change our minds with "free" coffee (whispered in our ears) was too late and we refused, paid and quickly left, never to say goodbye. By the way, farewell took place briefly over the shoulder. Yes, with such a service, the beautiful location lost 300-400 CHF, apart from the loss of new customers and the bad reputation that we spread. Nobody wants to put their friends and acquaintances through this, having a lovely evening ruined by such an incompetent team. Conclusion: Never again!

I returned with my wife on August 13, 2023. The restaurant wasn't full. But we had to wait 10 minutes until someone served us. We then ordered 2 drinks and after almost 10 minutes we left as we still didn't have anything. You can't have to wait that long for two drinks. The service staff would rather chat in front of the entrance than serve people. I had imagined this restaurant to be different. I'm disappointed. From the looks of the reviews this restaurant has a problem with the staff, apparently the food is good.

Perfectly cooked Pulpo with tasty Risotto. Lemon cream with crumble for dessert just right size and not too sweet. Only drawback is that when you come in nobody seems to care or assign a table to you. But nevertheless, once you sit down wherever there is a free table staff is attentive and friendly.

I waited 30 minutes for a simple pizza. The service seemed chaotic and many tables were full of dishes. A pity:(

Unbelievable, we had to wait a whole hour for our lunch today. And that for three simple pasta dishes. After 40 minutes, when we asked, we were told that it would take a while. There was no apology and the service staff ignored us as much as possible. Food was solid, the location is nice, but with such service absolutely not recommended!

The Porto restaurant is recommended...we come here often. The food was excellent and prepared with love. The chefs live and breathe Italy, and you can taste it in every dish. We came here as a family and unfortunately we cannot recommend this restaurant. The food was just mediocre, but the price was higher than normal. The portions were very lean, luckily the pizza was a good size. The service unfriendly.

Nice atmosphere, but that was it. I got halfway through the pizza, but then it went back. In my 60 years of life, I have never returned a pizza. The service didn't convince us either, we didn't feel welcome right from the start, that was very strange. Several times during the meal we had to ask for the wine to be brought to us. The waiter was running back and forth frantically, but he wasn't keeping an eye on us at all. They insisted on paying for the pizza, and after my verbal complaint directly to the Italian chef, the whole thing was rounded off by another employee arguing with me that they couldn't refund me the price. I asked several times who he was because he vehemently objected to my complaint verbally, but received no answer. An endless and pointless discussion in which I explained several times why the pizza was being returned, but was not heard. We left the restaurant stunned by this discussion, she topped the pizza because we were neither seen nor heard about our concerns. Overall, no reason to return. 6/25/23 Note on your answer: 1.) To claim that I entered your kitchen is wrong and does not correspond to the facts, it is really adventurous that you make such a claim. 2.) It was never a question of whether the pizza was half eaten or more, but they basically refused to refund us with the argument that they cannot refund everyone who complains. Not a word did they refuse payment because more than half of it was eaten. 3.) For me the matter is closed, I won't answer anything else. I continue to be horrified and stunned by how not only the pizza, but the discussion that followed, and now her answer was, and no, neither a cafe nor a scoop of ice cream will change that.

Average Italian food (bruschetta bread e.g. soggy instead of crispy / chili pizza oil extremely mild / service a bit chaotic but friendly...) at the beautiful harbor of Romanshorn. Unfortunately, sun protection is sometimes missing in the garden restaurant and dinner outside in summer turns into a visit to the sauna. In addition, the newly painted garden furniture is a bit sticky...

Very nice restaurant, very modern and inviting. The food is also very good, especially the tiramisu is world class. Simply different, not your run-of-the-mill tiramisu but simply reinterpreted. Really delicious and great! Never had such good tiramisu. Unfortunately, there are deductions regarding the staff. Everyone was very friendly, but as a guest you simply had to deal with how overwhelmed the employees were. The kitchen was absolutely behind. The service staff was totally scattered. Orders at the neighboring tables were forgotten or brought incorrectly, but everything worked out for us with a little delay. Personally, we're not that petty, we're all just human. Somehow the right organization is simply missing. The restaurant is top, it would be a shame if it failed due to the poorly organized staff. Porto is definitely worth a visit and deserves a chance to organize staff better and then it will work.

For a top restaurant there is no gluten free pasta here! They weren't really flexible. There isn't much choice for those with celiac disease!

Were here for the first time three weeks ago. Excellent coffee. Very friendly service. We were really looking forward to the next time. However, what happened last Sunday among the service employees is not possible. Hurtful insults among employees and in front of guests instead of supporting each other. Wrong drinks served. I was asked to pay several times, which I was finally able to pay at the counter. Enough service staff and yet completely overwhelmed and unprofessional. If that's the price, then it's just a matter of time or postage. Just a shame...

Very tasty, service friendly and accommodating, quick and prompt. A little piece of Italy right on Lake Constance! Gladly again 🇨🇮 However, there was a little too much limoncello in the spritz 😉 after we added some more mineral, it was very tasty.
