Roots in Crans-Montana

I made a reservation on the restaurant's website at the beginning of December for the meal on January 1st at noon, my reservation was accepted and I even received a confirmation request a few days before. Arrival in front of the restaurant: closed and empty… Number unreachable, no information displayed, restaurant marked “open” on Google… very disappointed. In the future, remember to block reservations and update your schedules.

We came to eat with the gourmet passport and that’s how we discovered this restaurant. For a hospitality school we were amazed, very promising for the future, we will come back very soon and congratulations to the whole team :)

Good atmosphere and amazing service thanks to the students that are in training from the nearby, Les Roches university. All the meals are explained and attention to detail is key in their service.

Campus visit and opportunity to have lunch at Roots was truly an experience, treated like special guests and the service from the kitchen to students who served us doing their internship at the restaurant was amazing

When I was a postgrad student at Les Roches, this place was called Le Tacot and we would eat here at least a couple times a month for lunch or dinner (though reservations can be fully booked for weeks in advance!). I got some of my kitchen training in this kitchen too and learned a lot about cooking in a fine dining kitchen here. It appears that they have rebranded the restaurant and opened it up for public as well! This would be a good spot to check out if you're in the area and worth the money for the quality of food that is served.
