It was a playful and fun night. We had chosen the 10 course experiment menu. A big wow affects every course presented. The food are delicious and service is top! Will return for sure to try the other menu! Highly recommended!

The quality of the food is overrated. There was only one dish that stood out in taste, all the other courses were nothing special or even disappointing. They put more effort in the presentation than the quality of the food. The staff, however was very nice and did a good job. The atmosphere reminded me a bit of a cupcake sip rather than a fine dining place. Personally, I don’t think they deserve the hype. I’ve been to way more enjoyable restaurants for a better price.

The restaurant was recommended to me by a good work colleague of mine. So head to the parlor for brunch. Ambiance: Pleasant mix of modern and (of course) German music fills the room at a perfect volume, so that you can have a good conversation, but if you are silent, no unpleasant silence fills the room (apart from your own silence) The interior is bad, pragmatic and Stylishly coordinated (everyone can get their own impression from the photo) Service: Pleasantly authentic and attentive. They explain the dishes simply and tasty so that you have a vivid idea of it even without any prior knowledge of the food. (Everyone who identifies me should explain to me what a "skinny virgin" is. Food: This came pretty quickly, considering the variations and details involved. I can't say whether the evening service is as fast as brunch, but I have no doubt that it's just as quick and tasty. The ratio of price-performance ratio to quantity is also completely justified (especially the pretzel is free :)) Basically, the Rosi is a perfect place for couples and families who want to start their Sunday comfortably. Even people who come alone will feel comfortable because the attentive service means you rarely feel lonely if you don't want to. Conclusion: A perfect place if you need a little break from hectic Zurich and just want to unwind. I'll try to get a date in the evening because I'm sure it will be as worthwhile as the brunch. Can't wait. Ps: For those who really want to hear if the food was tasty (I wouldn't write a post if it wasn't). It's more than just good. It was super nice!! :)

I'm back at the hotel after a great evening and I have to say, I'm licking my ass! With so much Gaudi I didn't count on it. Of course it's not classic Bavarian cuisine that's eye-popping, but it was a sensational 3 hours. Wonderful food with fun surprises, a sensational team that serves the guests calmly and with a lot of joy. In short, if you're researching here to think about whether to go to Rosi, you should do it, otherwise you'll have missed something.

We had a great time with friendly service that was very uncomplicated. You feel good. Food was good - experimental and down to earth. You don't feel any hindrance when you go out. Unfortunately, the meat eater didn't get all the courses "in meat" as there was also a vegetarian there - even though he ordered a meat menu and a vegetarian one. It was good anyway - some information would have been great because I was looking forward to the course based on the vitello tonato in vain.

My husband and I spontaneously reserved a table for lunch and were very lucky to find space. We would have missed something if we hadn't been in ROSI. It was a fantastic evening with absolutely great food, good accompaniment in the glass, wonderful service in a casual, relaxed atmosphere. Exactly how you imagine an evening. We had a really nice evening with a large group at Rosi. First we were able to enjoy a mulled wine with a fire bowl right in front of the restaurant. Afterwards we went to our two tables. We had pre-ordered the delicacy menu. Allergies and meat eating habits were taken into account. The menu consists of around 3 courses, with each course having around 3-4 individual courses. So you get super full. We were extremely impressed by the tree frog, the Tafelspitz, the Cordon Bleu, the Spätzli...actually everything. The service was attentive and very nice. After the meal, the boss came over, talked to us and refilled our shot glasses from the large selection. We felt really comfortable! The price was very fair for what was offered and the evening was perfect. Perhaps as a suggestion that one or two magnum bottles could be added to the range. :)

Five out of five stars ROSI is a hidden gem in Zurich that serves up some of the most delectable and authentic Swiss cuisine in the city. Nestled within a charming historical building, the restaurant exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere that is both cozy and refined. The décor is tasteful and understated, allowing the focus to remain on the exquisite culinary creations that emerge from the kitchen. From the moment you step through the doors, you are greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality by the attentive staff. Their knowledge of the menu is impeccable, and they are always happy to offer recommendations based on your preferences. The menu features a wide variety of traditional Swiss dishes, all prepared with the utmost care and attention to detail. The ingredients are sourced from local farmers and producers, ensuring that the dishes are not only flavorful but also sustainable. I started with the Bündner Gerstensuppe (barley soup), a hearty and comforting dish that is perfect for a cold winter day. The soup was rich and flavorful, with a perfect balance of smokiness and sweetness. For my main course, I had the Kalbsgeschnetzeltes (veal strips in a creamy mushroom sauce). The two of us visited Rosi for dinner. Decor is rather minimalist. Tables for two are very close to each other so that we could also exchange ideas with our neighbors. That didn't bother us, but I can imagine it could make a date less romantic. We ordered the Wirtshaus Maximus Menu, a tasting menu with 9 courses (more like 7 real courses and 2 fun appetizers) and were quite satisfied with the food. Everything tasted good and was presented in a funny way, but not to the point where you can no longer recognize the food. The service was friendly and direct. We'll definitely come back.

Great Noe-Bavarian restaurant in a revamped neighborhood pub in the middle of Zurich. The food and service are outstanding. The new concept takes some getting used to: There is only either a 3-course or 9-course menu if you want to sit at a table. A la carte is only available at the bar. The new concept is based on sharing, which results in the table being packed on multiple levels. We found that a bit uncomfortable, also because the bowls/plates in which the delicacies were served were quite large. We would prefer à la carte like before - a better solution could be through minimum consumption. Overall, a great experience, even with show elements such as dry ice or fluorescent salad...

Very exciting dining experience with exciting interpretations of Bavarian classics. The Kässpätzle were the absolute highlight. The beer selection is absolutely great, with Tegernseer and Augustiner. Prices are rather high, but they pay off with top food and wonderful service.

We opted for the delicacies menu, which we added Obazda and Cordon Bleu. Unfortunately, the starters didn't blow us away. As a Bavarian, I've unfortunately eaten much better Obazda 🙈 it's all very fancy and modern, but for me taste comes before showmanship. The bread really disappointed us. You couldn't share the "butter roll" without your hands being full of fat and in my opinion a good Bavarian brown bread, which is rarely found in Switzerland anyway, would have been much better. But it's all a matter of taste. There is definitely not too much on the plate. Price-performance wasn't quite right for us compared to similarly priced restaurants in Zurich. Overall, the main course was much more to our liking. The cheese spaetzle was really very good! The dessert too. What really bothered us was our service. There wasn't a single smile, please or thank you. We had the feeling that she was happy as soon as we left the store. The two other waitresses who were at the neighboring tables were very friendly. This is a point that is not possible for us in this price segment. If she had been Bavarian, this might have been dismissed as grumbling, but for a Swiss woman it was quite a shame. The comfort outside isn't really great either. I think beer benches are ok in the beer garden, but if I can only eat a menu from 85CHF and up, I think comfortable seating would be nice. Overall it was a nice evening.

We were warmly greeted and escorted to our table. Then the menu was explained to us with the Bavarian specialties. We chose matching wines. Everything was harmonious and the food tasted excellent. The service was great and very friendly, even funny. We had a great evening and were the last guests to leave the garden restaurant extremely satisfied. We had the 3 course menu and were unfortunately a bit disappointed. I missed the balance of the menu. Overall it was too uninspired for me. The food was good but nothing more. The overall concept and the coordination of the courses were not good/recognizable. I also found it irritating when the waiter told us that cheese spaetzle with the main course was a must but not included in the menu. Then why not integrate them? For the same money you can get much better in Zurich. The service was great.

ABSOLUTE FAILURE We were there for a birthday. We also mentioned that there was no mention of congratulations, although other guests who celebrated their birthdays there received a special surprise and congratulations. In addition, the food (9 courses for CHF 140 per person) was underground from the third course onwards (including a helium balloon as a course and a lollipop as a dessert course) and the wine accompaniment for CHF 72 per person. consisting of BEER and mainly white wine, with every milliliter being measured precisely. When asked which wine was served, no answer could be provided. The price/performance ratio was an absolute disgrace. Spent just under 1000 for 4 people, you can eat much better and massively cheaper in other places in Zurich.

We know Rosi from Kitchen Impossible and it completely convinced us. A real experience for a long time. We had the Wirtshaus Maximus menu and then an extra Cordon Bleu. Very original and lovingly prepared dishes, such as tattooed pork skin and food that glows under UV light. The balloon with helium and schnapps made us laugh a lot.

If you like Bavarian food and want to try something new, I can highly recommend Rosi. We really liked the “neo-Bavarian” cuisine, the food was fantastic and one of the menus with different courses is definitely worth it. Markus is an excellent chef and host. The reservation and communication via email was also great, friendly and very fast. The restaurant is in a modern but classic style, with a feel-good atmosphere. My highlight was definitely the preparation of the different courses and the special dishes.

We finally made it to Rosi! Very nice and friendly staff! Nice furnishings - although the seats are a bit snug 😂🙈. The food was a feast for the eyes and beautifully presented. In terms of taste it was also a pleasure, the only point of criticism that we were very disappointed with was the cheese spaetzle. They were way too soft and we never expected that and see it as an oversight. The fact that everyone around us got a cocktail helium balloon, except for us, made us feel a little sad to say goodbye. But we can only recommend it to everyone. Price-performance for Zurich and what is on offer is extremely reasonable! See you next time…

The atmosphere feels neither fish nor bird. Bavarian? Modern? The service was always friendly and accommodating. However, we have the proud price of 190 Fr. per person!!! expected more. The “flesh on the bone” was missing. We therefore cannot accept a balloon for inhalation as a course. Too much chichi, too little food itself.

Outstandingly good cuisine. We had the classic delicacy menu. The evening was perfect. Wonderful service, great wines, hearty dishes with a bit of fantasy and absurdity. Just enough to make cheese spaetzle not only particularly tasty, but also avant-garde. The nitro cloud with apple jelly could have been much more 😜 the chocolate pudding was the best I've ever had. And everything in between was just incredibly delicious. In the end we just rolled out, we ate ourselves so well. Thank you for the wonderful experience. We will be back!

First of all, the team is very friendly and welcoming! In terms of taste, it was rather a disappointment and didn't meet our expectations. We tried different dishes. Sausage salad was completely drowned in oil and the roast was just beautiful to look at, but the taste was run of the mill! If you're used to something different in the upscale restaurants in Munich. Price performance is also astronomical. Three “small” pieces of roast (approx. 6-8 bites) for CHF 38.- OK for a taste explosion - not the case here (unfortunately). What was also a bit irritating was that we ordered Cola Zero, but received normal Cola from a special brand. Despite asking twice whether it was a "Zero", this was confirmed. After we pointed out the sugar content, the lady was so cheeky and said we should dilute it with water :) - All is well, but diabetics would be happy if they were at least honest and offered something else afterwards - unfortunately not that one Case. All in all - very friendly and cozy atmosphere, with maximum average taste and astronomical prices, which unfortunately don't do justice to the result.

Delicious food with interesting concept. We tried brunch here. Friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. They serve Mame coffee, which I like, but there was no option to choose Cappuccino (which was bit weird). Due to small portion, it was quite pricey.

We enjoyed the morning pint brunch at Rosi. It tasted very good and was definitely something different than the classic brunches. Lots of delicacies that are good for sharing. From Weisswurst to Brezn Obatzter to Strammer Max and much more, it's not just Bavarian hearts that beat faster. The terrace is very nice with lots of shade. We were also extremely impressed by the service, which was extremely attentive and friendly despite the full terrace and elaborate serving (e.g. the coffee was always refilled). We'll definitely come back again.

First of all: Nice service and really cool atmosphere. However, the price performance was not in proportion. We made a reservation for 7 courses (120.-). The menu was increased to 8 without informing us and charged 140.-. Unfortunately it wasn't the same as what we had reserved. The aisles were rather small, we start with a Nitro roll, it was mini. Then came the very fine beef broth with truffle roll - tasty, but also small. Unfortunately, the red cabbage in ice cream form was not convincing and after 3 spoons the bowl was empty. The fish course was okay. The bread course (?), which came as a whole loaf of bread (from John's Bakery), was more to fill the stomach. The meat was excellent, the cheese spaetzle was also delicious and the lactose-free version was also good. The hellium balloon was entertaining. Afterwards came a sorbet made from cider, which was presented as a mulled wine sorbet with UV Liecht, also very small. For dessert there was either a roll or, for me as a lactose intolerant person, a sorbet. So we (or I) had 3 of 8 courses in sorbet form, which really didn't make up for the 140.00.

ROSI's is highly praised from all sides and therefore the bar is set very high. The evening was rather disappointing. It started with the fact that I wanted a menu and my wife only wanted the Cordon Bleu. This is not possible, either for both à la carte or menu, per table of course. So if 4 people are sitting there ordering 3 menu items and someone wants a la carte, that doesn't work. I actually wanted to go there again. I don't think that's possible, especially since you get an a la carte menu. Service then asked in the kitchen and it worked anyway, thank you very much for that. The quality of the food and the dishes themselves are very well crafted and bear the chef's very personal signature. I particularly liked the curd dumplings. The Rosis is also in a price range where you expect perfect service. Unfortunately that wasn't it. I didn't feel well, and then unfortunately even the best food only tastes normal :(

From accepting the reservation on the phone to the actual service at the table, it was very warm and professional throughout - there is a very considerable knowledge of wine and good knowledge of the guests! The absolute highlight of the food were the starters and the bread! (Mushroom & mushroom, Obatzder, cucumber salad) The main courses are also great, only the "side dishes" are so strong in character that they deserve a "course of their own" and almost steal the show from the main courses.

The service staff was very nice. The restaurant is bright and friendly but the tables are rather small for four people. Unfortunately the food couldn't convince us, it was more experimental than Bavarian and the portions were a joke, a large plate with four leaves of salad and the fried chicken for 46.- was just a thigh. The curd dumplings were just sweet, but if you tasted them blindly you would never have guessed what you were eating. We are happy to pay a price for quality, but then it also has to have the wow effect, but unfortunately that was far from it.

In my opinion the best Wienerschnitzel served in the Zurich region (or outside of Austria). Plus a selection of excellent wines and friendly, flexible staff. It wasn't my first time here and I'd love to come back 👍🏻

very expensive italian food that is good but not crazy good. mozarella di buffala on some fennel is 18 bucks, for this price the mozarella could have at least a decent size. pannacotta is very good an fluffy

We have eaten there several times and have always been completely satisfied. We have now chosen the Altes Klösterli for a family celebration and are thrilled again. It was just a perfect fit - from the preparatory meeting hung until the warm farewell. We are already looking forward to summer, when the garden will be open. An absolute MUST - the cream slices!

Fantastically tasty beef liver with rösti. The most delicate and fresh I tried so far. Cosy terrace with beautiful view, excellent service. The visit was spontaneous on a bike trip road, but came out as a place to come back more. Has a car and bike parking place, kids playground, local products store.
