We ordered a Tarte aux Fraises. Almost no trace of strawberries, see picture. Between 2 bland biscuit bases there was a greasy cream/mousse cream with no taste. Plus a teaspoon of ice cream on grated coconut. Unfortunately, the beautiful decoration with flowers and battered stamps doesn't make it out either. I was reminded of a children's slice from Frisco. Unfortunately still tasty.

The food was tasty and presentation was nice, but the price is a bit too high. For example we got the asparagus and it was 30 something francs then we got a salmon on the side for 9 thinking it would be more than a small plate of smoked salmon. The dishes were good though 🙌 service was spot on and the drinks were good as well!

Cozy and stylish atmosphere. The menu is clear and varied. The welcome is warm and the service is attentive. The food is good and beautifully prepared, but there is still some room for improvement in terms of price-performance. Service is sometimes extremely correct and professional, sometimes not so well trained. We'd love to come back.

At first the ambience seems like a casual loft bar. As soon as you walk around the corner, you realize that this is a successful combination of a casual bar-restaurant and food and service quality at the highest French level. The only downside: we still had to fully validate the supposedly canceled parking ticket.

Very nice bar and restaurant at Zurich Airport, I would say one of the TOP locations in Zurich. But the best thing about the location is the bartender “Kevin”. Incredible drinks and incredibly nice. One of the reasons why we come back. Thanks to Kevin and team.

The Sablier Rooftop Restaurant & Bar is certainly one of the best restaurants at Zurich Airport. The food is of high quality and is excellently prepared. A large selection of wines and champagne is available and leaves almost nothing to be desired. The service is attentive and quick. Was there for Valentines dinner with my better half. Food was delicious, my nut-allergy was taken into consideration from the start since I had warned them in advance and for courses containing any tipe of nuts there was an alternative for me. The servers were very nice, no long waiting time between courses and overall very good food and amazing wine pairing. Will surely come back to enjoy some culinary pampering again. A big thank you for the delightful night to the staff & chef.

Deco is nice, but service was not the best one.. even though we did order a starter and main dishes the brought everything at the same time, even the oysters, but the side dish came 10 minutes later... so the table is just a mess... Half of the beef tartar was just one big piece of meat... at least they removed it from the bill but only after we asked for that. Also for this price nothing special... cocktails were good, so go for a drink but not food...

Noble colors and sound, modern chic mixed with belle epoque, somehow also lush, a wonderful place for the eye and with a friendly starter for the palate: The alcohol-free “Bonjour” with passion fruit and orange on ice. We will come back in the summer to enjoy the evening sun on the terrace In the restaurant: The dishes we experienced were sophisticated and yet, thanks to the rather small menu, the multi-layered creations could be prepared and orders arrived at the table quickly: open ravioli with artichokes, tomatoes and olives, then tender guinea fowl with small cabbage rolls and various mushrooms (a winter dish), and at the end variations of a plum. Solid craftsmanship, tasteful, sensual experience, nothing wrong, matches the decoration. The service fought a bit for our attention ("If you want a dessert with a show, order..." - we didn't want to) and we sometimes fought for his too: but he had a lot to do and was still friendly and helpful.

Four of us visited Le Sablier for brunch. The restaurant is beautiful and the atmosphere is harmonious. The food was good, but probably not worth the price. We were disappointed with the service and would have expected more from a restaurant in this price range: a wait of over 50 minutes is clearly too long for a cold brunch - with the exception of the scrambled egg. The order was also recorded incorrectly. The attention generally left a lot to be desired: bread and butter were not served (at a brunch) and had to be asked for. The French toast was completely missing. The kitchen itself was good, but not outstanding. The staff was otherwise friendly and the dog was brought water.

An evening for four at Sablier was good, but that was it. First of all, we would like to praise the service staff, who were very friendly and attentive. The ambience is also very elegant and beautiful, unfortunately we always had problems with our table lamp and the floor lamp next to the table didn't really work anymore. This shouldn't happen in a restaurant of this class. Unfortunately, we were only moderately impressed by the food. Starter: Squid carpaccio with pecorino and a little truffle. The sophistication in this dish was absolutely lost and the only seasoning was the cheese, which was very generously grated on top. Main course: Guinea fowl with wild mushrooms, Périgord truffles, white bean puree and savoy cabbage roulade Our food was warm, but it had been standing in the kitchen for a long time before it was brought to the table, which unfortunately was evident, for example. The bean puree was already darker on the outside than on the inside, and the meat was slightly 'dry'. The taste was ok. Dessert: Crème Brûlée, a standard dessert that you can't really go wrong with. Unfortunately the sugar wasn't caramelized for too long, so I ended up with all the sugar rather than the crust. Our conclusion: It's a nice atmosphere, but that's about it. We definitely wouldn't come back because of the food.

We were there for the New Year's Eve party. Unfortunately there was no party atmosphere at all and the guests hardly danced. The countdown to midnight also only started counting down from 7; which really irritated me. We had to wait forever to order drinks and I didn't feel welcome as a guest. For young people who like to dance and have fun; I absolutely cannot recommend the “party”. However, the restaurant is really something special. Unfortunately for me this makes for a bad atmosphere and service by far not worth it!

Atmosphere was the true winner here, with the decor being incredibly unique and inviting. We had the menu of the day, the starter was light and tasty, whilst the main, Prawns with a saffron pasta and lobster foam was exquisite. Highly recommend this resto if you have time to kill before a flight, or looking for some great food in a wonderful atmosphere in the area of Zurich Airport.

After May 2022, we were in Sablier again yesterday. Unfortunately, our impression was that the restaurant has lost something in these 1 1/2 years. Service was less attentive, the portions were smaller and we had the impression that the quality of the food suffered somewhat. In general, the level was no longer as high as the last visit. Lots of little things that aren't quite right. A lot of the decorative lights on the tables were broken. Our waiter also commented on this. Why aren't these replaced or removed? Given the high prices, guests expect more. The Sablier needs to be improved.

We went to Sablier for Sunday brunch and it was delicious. The French toast is great and so is the Oeuf Benedict. The portions are quite small, which is what we expected. However, since we ordered La petite faim (which consists of various small portions), Oeuf Benedict and another French toast, we had definitely eaten enough in the end. The service was friendly. The prices are rather high, but we also expected that. What I didn't expect was the bottle of water on the bill. We were asked if we wanted some water and we said yes. For the amount you pay, the water could perhaps be offered.

It couldn't be worse. An absolute disgrace. Invited yesterday by my friend, we happily sat down and waited for a glass of water. 30 minutes later we were able to order the surprise menu and 2 glasses of champagne. The lukewarm first course was served (not announced what it is of course). Where was the champagne? Ah now that the appetizer has been cleared. The second course came quickly with a friendly, competent cellar. Now we have to wait forever for the main course. I didn't want any game. Waiter then poured the blueberry jus over my beef and disappeared. Oh and how creative. Side dish was beef or veal goulash. To shorten the wait when we were getting impatient, the waiter brought us a lemon sorbet with the words “you don't have to pay for that”. Oh how friendly, we didn't order it either. The dessert looked lovely. It was probably prepared because everything, including the plum, was completely frozen. When I asked rhetorically whether the plum had to be frozen, the waiter awkwardly replied, “It must be like that.” Have I ever been in a worse place anywhere in the world in my life? No. How do you get Gault Millau points? Hopefully Ronny Zipfel will read it. I would be ashamed.

A lot of things are right here, except the organization of the service. Everyone is friendly and helpful, but it remains unclear who is responsible for the table. We had to refill ourselves several times from two magnum bottles of wine. The empty plates stood around for a long time and it took a quarter of an hour at the beginning before we could order something to drink.

The food was excellent and deserves a top rating. The ambience is attractive, lunch-like, relatively quiet and easy to have a conversation with. We felt very comfortable. The support of sommelier Markus was another highlight... and at the end the "Crêpe Suzette" rounded off the evening perfectly. Potential for improvement: the service... after the main course he no longer took care of us, was neither attentive to clearing our plates nor could we order more water. The behavior didn't fit into the "whole".

The service is absolutely terrible. I've been to Sablier a few times for brunch, aperitifs and drinks. From time to time the service decreased significantly. Yesterday was the highlight. We were sitting on the terrace and a waitress threw one or more bottles down from her tray. A bottle hit me on the shoulder and then broke on the ground. The waitress then half-heartedly picked up the pieces and didn't even ask if I was okay. A no-go! I had two splinters in my shoe. But she wasn't interested in that at all. The splinters spread more and more on the terrace and even on the carpet inside because they were not swept up properly. Some guests walked over it with open shoes. Some of the shards were trapped in the joints in the floor and had dangerous sharp edges sticking up. Careless and ignorant. No more Sabliers!

I'll start off by saying the decor is beautiful! However, the service is horrible. When we arrived we asked for a table for 3. The host at the front said she had to ask if there was a table although the place was basically empty when we arrived. But I just looked past that after being seated. We sat outside but the beautiful plants attracted a lot of bees. We ordered martinis and I think the fruit attracted the bees even more as they literally flew inside our drinks. (That's no fault to the restaurant). I asked to move indoors and asked to get new drinks. They made the drinks, tossed the original drinks and we went on about dinner service. Service was subpar to say the least. We asked to order another round of cocktails but after waiting 30 minutes we never received them and just asked for the check. When we received the check it had 6 drinks in total (2 that were tossed, 2 we drank, and 2 that never arrived). When I asked for them to remove them the manager came over and said they removed the ones we didn't get but they "can't control nature" so didn't remove the first drinks. Well my thing is if they were going to charge us they should have just left us with the cocktails for us to decide if we wanted them or not. After a quick inquiry into why we were being charged for drinks they tossed, the manager walked off and said "oh my God" rolling his eyes. Came back 2 minutes later and literally slammed the check on our table. No words after that. We paid and left, never ever to return. I try to be very fair when leaving reviews, but trust the 1 stars about the horrid service.

We had lunch at Sablier. Everything is simply AWESOME. Food top class, service couldn't be better, location brilliant. The only very negative point for us was the large dog that was lying on the floor at a table. Nobody can do anything about it. Dogs should not be allowed in this league. But thank you for the great stay.

Update from July 18, 2023 (reduction from 3 to 2 stars) ******** Spontaneously again today in the Sablier. But unfortunately the service didn't work at all this time either. Our order was so easy. 2 times lamb. What has come? 1 time lamb. Somehow the standard service (14 GM points) doesn't work at Sablier, which should actually be expected given the lavish price of CHF 56 for a simple main course (lamb). A pity! ******* Team dinner for 14 people at Sablier, which is a very suitable location for such an occasion. Location: very modern, great location / very (too) big / spectacular terrace / cool groove Staff: I found them to be neither nice, attentive nor accommodating / sometimes "snappy" when dealing with complaints / room for improvement Food and wine: Very good food that tastes great and is wonderfully presented / GaultMillau and Michelin will probably take up Sablier soon / Wine (Barolo) was excellent at a fair price Price: The prices are at the upper end even for Zurich. However, in order to justify this price, I would like to see a friendlier and more attentive treatment of the guests! Conclusion: The staff prevents a better rating here / but I'll definitely come back! Because the location is special and the food is very good.
