I discovered this tea room quite by chance and have returned several times since! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is very beautiful and there is a young waiter (I haven't dared to ask his name yet) who knows how to do his job wonderfully: welcoming, helpful, always smiling and joking. That alone makes us want to go back! See you soon and thanks :)

A tea room should be a haven of peace. However, the energetic noises of dishes and counters are very unpleasant here. And unnecessary: ​​everything could be stored/prepared more gently. As for the decor… how dark it is! Good food and cappuccino. But these days when dietary awareness is increasing, you should also offer small wholemeal bread sandwiches in your assortment.

Unbearable ventilation noise. Low frequencies very harmful to poor employees and customers. Goods delivered by truck in the morning while basement premises are there for the bakery and pastry shop on site. It was used before. What a pity ! I tried a croissant and couldn't eat it! In Madame Chènevières' time, it was quality with "the best workers in France"

A tea room with comfortable seating and a warm atmosphere. The products are excellent and the staff pleasant. It’s always a pleasure to go back there.

Very pricy, quality of products is not even great and several members of staff are really unfriendly - seems the customer is an inconvenience for some of them.

A daily customer for several months, it is always a real pleasure to come with my dog ​​(I point this out for the attention paid to him by the employees) Their good humor, smiles during their service, punctuate a start to the day which is very appreciated by customers, we see it from the atmosphere generated between us! So you will have understood, for a very warm and appreciable “customer experience” also for its cuisine, I highly recommend :) I thank this team for their kindness, dynamism and politeness.

Very nice tea room, exceptional atmosphere, coffee and delicacies. The personnel was very friendly and the prices very fair for Geneva. Highly recommended for a coffee break. Worth to mention that there was even lactose free milk option available for the coffee.

Small tea room which was once known beyond the neighborhood mainly for its delicacies (typical Swiss mini sandwich with Sils bread, a bit similar to a pretzel). The tea room was renovated a few years ago, visually this change is successful. As for the products, nothing special, apart from the delicacies (even if the recipe has unfortunately changed since its beginnings) and the fine apple tart which remains excellent. Everything is quite expensive for what it is and mainly benefits from its location. The staff changes a lot but remains very friendly. It remains a pleasant place and appreciated by the neighborhood.

I seriously question the positive reviews!!!!! 3 times I come and we have to wait 15 minutes for our order to be taken while the waitress and the waiter chat behind and finish drinking their coffee!!! Place to avoid!!!!

We came to eat there at exactly 5:40 p.m., the waitress hesitated and told us that the tea room closes at 6 p.m.! Served us reluctantly… Asked us to pay insistently and making us feel uncomfortable! Very disappointed...

This is my absolute favourite cafe in Geneva. Have come here regularly for 2 years now, and it’s Bakery items are unmatched. Try the pain vanille!

I have been a customer for several years and appreciate the kindness and efficiency of Amanda and her colleagues. Always smiling and helpful, they make this place even more pleasant. Small downside, we would have to make an effort on the pastries and bakery part, once this improvement is made, everything will be perfect.

I go to this salon solely for the quality of the welcome given by Sarah, Amanda, Ludovic and Isabel. The professionalism and dynamism of this great team make this place a success. What customers are looking for is an atmosphere and quality service and this team mentioned makes all the difference!

There is no shortage of tea rooms in Geneva but the best part is the atmosphere, the kindness and goodwill of the team headed by Amanda....loyalty also comes through there.

Too bad that since the change of ownership, the servers have been so bad. The tables are not automatically cleaned, you have to ask for it each time. Some servers are rude. And prices have increased.

I went to this tea room on Wednesday. They have to apply for the health pass, but they don't control anything. Anyone can sit, vaccinated or not. First of all, it's not correct. 5 days later I got sick. ..

2 days in a row that I go around 5:20 p.m. and the store door is closed, even though there is still a person inside. A real scandal to close 40 minutes early!

The years go by and everything remains average in this tea room “formatted” for undemanding customers. The waitresses know almost nothing about the products they sell. These, despite high prices, remain very average (ref. frozen cakes, the smallest of which costs 26.-). The gelatin is a kind of rubbery chewing gum, the cookie is too sweet but luckily the rare fruit is ok. Next time I will go elsewhere because for the price I paid, I expect much better. For your information, none of my guests took back the purchased cake. We are used to top quality and the products in this tea room are not up to par with the residents of the neighborhood. Damage.

The staff is unpleasant and haughty, little choice, no matter what time you arrive there are no more sandwiches. The staff does not meet hygiene standards, no masks and I noticed a lack of social distancing despite the fact that elderly people frequent this place. In short, 5th time I've been there, still so poorly received, I'll never come back.

The tea room has apparently become a pharmacy trying to sell masks at huge margins. Great team spirit, too bad, the pastries are good but they have just lost a customer.

At the Athenée bakery in Geneva 7.- piece 100.- for 20 😱 Selling masks is good, taking advantage of the pandemic to pick the pockets of the many seniors in the Champel district is not. What a lack of ethics, they lost a customer. Otherwise the bakery itself is ok. No production on site apparently except kitchen and cafeteria. The salespeople are adorable.

Pastries not only stale on Sunday, I tried on Monday and I have to say, esthetically very pleasing but disappointing overall. Decent hot chocolate, enjoyable interior design and a quiet place to have a chat over coffee. Would recommend, but not for eating. I will not spend my money on food here again. Staff professional.

Good pastries, sandwiches, and chilled atmosphere. However, they sell day old, stale pastries on Sunday’s, it’s very disappointing. Most boulangeries would advertise them as ‘day old’ pastries but this one doesn’t. I’ve been there twice on a Sunday and the pain au chocolate was awful.

I don't know what the other comments are about. In my view it's only an ok place, and that's mostly because of the branding/interior decoration efforts. Patisseries look industrial and are ok to eat (but for that price :/). Otherwise, what really seals the deal is the rude waitresses: they don't even look at you or say hi (unless you're right in front of them and it's absolutely necessary), they comment about customer's looks to other customers while serving (even when said look is probably due to health-related issues), and they are very poorly dressed (like gym workers or something) - which I'm not sure is the best choice for (in my view) a nice tea room with nice clientele. They really just look all-round weird and it feels like you come into their place rather than at the Athénée. This is quite sad, the place looked promising.

Beautiful tea room, decent pastries, and ok staff. Their coffee is good, however Nespresso can be found in so many places, inclusively at home. The decor and terrace is what I appreciate the most of this place. It’s very chic and cozy, great for an intimate coffee with a friend or date. The “biscuit sablé” pistachio I had was a good texture, but only decent taste. The croissant I had on another occasion was nothing exceptional. This time they even packed the cookie to-go without asking (I was staying), though they claim to be eco-conscious. I had to ask 3 different staff members for the wifi because every time I asked they would say it quickly and walk away, as though is what a secret recipe. 😅 The only reasons I came back was due to proximity, a sunny day, and because they’re opened on Sunday.

Pastries and cakes are industrial (the same in gas stations.) The athenee was well before but since the change of ownership. Prices have gone up, quality has fallen. Never go there, it will save you from wasting time, money and above all having a bad time.
