Santa Lucia in Zürich

Our family has been a regular customer here for years. The staff is super friendly. The restaurant is always clean, the atmosphere is great and we always feel very comfortable there. The food is delicious, especially the pizzas and pasta, but I can also recommend the rest of the menu. In terms of price, the restaurant is in line with its competitors in this class and is therefore quite fair.

Nobody asking if the food was great at the eating time and after finish also ask nothing just keep the table. And the food very horrible. Gnocchi is over cooked and no taste.

We celebrated my wife's birthday with the immediate family. We were there an hour early. Since our table wasn't ready yet, they gave us another table for the aperitif and later we were able to go to the reserved table. That's what I call customer focus. The service, the food and the ambience fully met our expectations. Ms. Gracic and her team were very welcoming and warm. And the birthday cake, which Mr. Gasser delivered at short notice, was also excellent. Thank you all.

We spent our last Christmas dinner with our staff at Santa Lucia. It was a nice and cozy evening for all of us. The food came to our table at the same time without a long wait and was very tasty. The boss was patient and supportive with the wine selection (there were sometimes high demands) and the staff came by the table at regular intervals to ensure our well-being. Many thanks to the boss and the staff for the evening, we really enjoyed it!

Your typical Italian restaurant. You'll get everything you would expect. On the louder side I would say. Staff was friendly given how busy it was and food quality was great. We were a rather large group and some of the food took long leading to some people having to wait while others were eating. Pricing is alright goven the location and service. Would visit again.

The restaurant has declined somewhat in recent years. Unfortunately the prices are not. I've been coming here for decades. The pizzas are OK. Except they used to be served all day. Not anymore (whether it's because of the competition from the new neighbor Molino? You can also eat the entire menu there in the afternoon). The Risotto Frutti di Mare was a shock. I've never eaten it so badly. At least the landlady offered me a coffee or a dessert. Bravo. But that doesn't make the food any better. Today I was looking forward to a paillard with vegetables. But it wasn't on the map. So I used veal schnitzel with lemon sauce. Was OK. Unfortunately without vegetables but with fresh tagliatelle, which were the best. But only a micro portion. You won't get full there. This for 39 Fr. The Santa Lucia would have to be careful, but it belongs to Bindella and in earlier times it gained a good reputation as a local pub. -------------- new today: I walked past the SL again, the board outside said: Brasato. I got so excited about brasato that I went in and ordered. I'll make it short: the worst brasato ever. Service and ingredients were impeccable. I had to complain and then came the usual offer of free dessert and coffee. I didn't like that. Now here's the thing: I wasn't charged for the Brasato! Keep it up or better yet: better meat. My rating increases by 1 point. No, it's just my favorite "Italian". So two points.

The pizzas were very tasty. Attentive and flexible staff. Reservations are highly recommended. There was a lot of noise as the restaurant was full. We'd love to come back. Pizzeria can be easily reached by public transport via Limmatplatz.

We are two Spanish friends who were in Zürich to visit. We had dinner at this restaurant and we have to say that we returned the next day, not only for its food, but for the kindness and service of Ildico, one of its employees. She was super attentive throughout the entire dinner and was super kind to us, you can tell she enjoys her profession and it's a pleasure to go to dinner. Thank you very much Ildico!

Good atmosphere, Spaghetti Aglio e Olio was like my roommate had overcooked pasta, rinsed it and then poured olive oil over it. Not inedible, but I don't expect something like that in a restaurant.

I have been a regular at this place for 25 years. Went there with my football team to celebrate a victory. We spent 1000 chf and were just having a bit of fun. We were asked by the waitress to leave because we were „too rambunctious“, I will not go there again. And neither should you.

We had dinner at Santa Lucia last night, the first and last time. The food was okay, the service was subpar. I see the whole thing from a gastronomy perspective, but the basics should be right. The carpaccio was carelessly prepared, with a lemon cut completely diagonally. We had to ask for the water a third time. The red wine was also forgotten and was ice cold when it arrived. I estimate around 4 degrees. The person who served us had “smoked something” before the shift, and when asked, he openly admitted it to us as we could see it in his eyes. Dear owner/chef de service, do you never look your employees in the eye when they talk to you? Lack of staff or not, something like that just doesn't work, especially if you work in service. I'm 51, have been happy with Santa Lucia for 30 years but now... very bad pizza makes you want to vomit, burnt on the top, it doesn't get crispy at the bottom, the dough is as soft as crepes... but no wonder if the PIZZAIOLO is a I der is... really a shame, it used to be a good restaurant. And those who rate you positively have no IDEA.

When it comes to an Italian who makes pasta from scratch, I expect it to be al dente. Unfortunately, this didn't work for two dishes. The pizza is also pretty average in the area. The service is tried hard.

I'm not a Bindella fan, but the pizza here is really great and the service is competent, friendly and fast.
