Säntis - das Hotel in Hundwil

Very nice, modern hotel with spacious rooms. The restaurant offers very fine, regional cuisine. Morning is also very nice! The wellness facility is small but nice. 2 saunas and a steam bath. Unfortunately no pool (except for the whirlpool) and no massage jets. Given the size of the hotel, you may not be able to get a lounger in the beautiful relaxation room facing the forest. Overall, not enough seating in the wellness area. Lots of walking options, cable car to Säntis almost at the hotel (when it runs). Very helpful staff. The beautiful fireplace should be lit more often. Unfortunately, after dinner it was always over.

Breakfast was very tasty and had a very good selection. The employees are also very friendly. The view was simply great, I would love to come back.

The rooms are super nice. Great beds, separate wet rooms. Unfortunately no minibar, no coffee machine. Nice spa but no cold water pool. For almost 200.00 fr per person, well. The restaurant is not nice. Sitting together with day-trippers (the Appenzeller charm) is completely missing here. Concrete, peacock feathers and silver leather seating areas are absurd. Unfortunately, the map is also devoid of ideas, if not loveless. There is a smoking lounge in the hotel. Since we were here in the fall, we were surprised to find it so dirty again. We thought it was after a party in the fall, as the wedding cake was still there on plates at 7 p.m. No again this time. Everything is full of cigarettes, glasses, dirty tables... What a shame. Then they would rather not offer the service.

I truly don't understand negative reviews... Everything was perfect! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff is very customer-oriented, competent and friendly. The food was good but a bit expensive.
