The pop-up concept of the 2 chefs with the trompe l'oeil theme is to be recommended and repeated. The sommelier is second to none and the service more than perfect. Go ahead without restraint.

The had a set menu for Valentine’s Day and it was amazing. Had wine pairings and such good cuisine even accompanied by a band playing jazz music. Also the cocktails were very good!

Everything was perfect for the meal. excellent work to the boss and colleagues. Orptimal service. Two of us were seated at a small round table, near the window. For my part, frankly I was very poorly seated to really enjoy the tasting. An effort on the quality of the chairs at this location would be welcome. No reason to be poorly seated on the grounds that we had a small table because there were only two of us eating ;-). THANKS

The restaurant is really nice and the cocktails and food are very good as usual. However, the prices have raised a lot compared to few months ago and the portions became much smaller. To have a proper dinner now you have to take at least the menu with 4 dishes which ofc makes the final bill much bigger than before..

Quality dishes, original and very good. On the other hand, the quantities are tiny for a very high price. The wines especially are overpriced.

The restaurant’s website boasts aperitif and afterwork…. Too bad he doesn’t do a planchette or anything else in these slots…Very good cocktails. I'm not a big fan of requiring you to put on your jacket in the locker room either.

Creative and gourmet cuisine... but you have to pay the price. Wine advice: top. Cheese dish: great. On the other hand, little choice (lamb or veal or 1 vegetarian dish for main courses). This is why I give it 4 stars.

Very good bistronomic restaurant with elaborate dishes and attentive waiters. Very friendly setting, but can be a little noisy. We were unlucky because we came across two company dinners, but the staff kindly agreed to move us to be a little further away.

We chose to take the surprise menu for 99.- and we loved it!! The dishes were very sophisticated and of great quality! We also tried their cocktails. We had the Sardine which was excellent as well as the non-alcoholic amaretto sour, terribly good! In addition, the staff at La Sardine were adorable and very attentive and gave very good advice when it came to choosing wine. Thank you to your entire team for this exceptional moment!

The menu is simple, 3 options per dish, but this ensures the freshness of the day. We discovered this gem by following Google Maps. See you soon I almost forgot a great homemade gin cocktail.

Very good restaurant to experience a surprise. We don't necessarily like everything, but each bite is an experience, and those that suit your tastes will be a delight. We also like the food/wine pairing. The price, 150 CHF per person, is a small amount, but the result is there, the product/process quality is top, the quantity too and the team is perfect.

Special evening this Saturday evening with the duo Amine Ennoura and his guest Top Chef Colas Gonin for a menu in the form of a “culinary journey”. Successful exercise with a few drawbacks. Overall, inventive and tasty cuisine even if the dishes offered are not all convincing (a dry one too well “camouflaged” under its cucumber-yuzu-coriander juice). Attentive and efficient service. Competent sommelier with good advice. Warm atmosphere with a backdrop of good jazz. A bit high value for money.

Delicious and refined with the only downside that it is very expensive for portions that are too small

The dishes are excellent. On the other hand, the portions are very small, the dishes are the size of a starter. For the price we expected a slightly larger portion. The place is very nice to eat at night.

I went to La Sardine for my birthday and everything was perfect! We started our trip with cocktails as well as appetizers then we started the starters, main courses and desserts. Everything was perfect from A to Z, bar, kitchen and service. I highly recommend this place where you will never stop traveling!

Fish smells very strong, almost inedible. Very poorly seated.

Unfortunately, the chef changed and the food experience is no longer exceptional, too bad, I will not come back! but I am sure other customers will still like it, good luck

Horrible and an understatement, I'm not an expert in cooking but I am someone who loves to eat and it is rare that I leave something on the plates but the food was inedible. The Pizza starter was an obscenity of flavors without personality, the first course was packets with rabbit and scampi, the rabbit even escaped... it was bitter and had a bad smell. Then the chef came, we wanted to give feedback on the cuisine but he looked bad, meanwhile as soon as he was asked if he tasted the dishes his response was: no one has complained for three months" well... I guarantee you he had the dishes tasted otherwise they certainly would not have reached the table. Finally, the service was poor, they brought the bread twice and the grated cheese they brought was full of lumps and without a spoon, how was I supposed to put it on the pasta with my hands? I had a passion fruit margarine for the cocktail, perfect, I really liked it and even the guy who recommended it to me did it in a pleasant and professional way. We paid not to eat.

Very nice restaurant, setting, cuisine and service at the top. Two downsides, however: the time, very long, to take the order and be served (there were ten of us) and the portions, really small. We remain a little hungry, even when having a dessert, which is delicious by the way.

Good morning, The service was good. On the other hand, in terms of cooking, the escarole velouté starter was very bitter as if the core of the escarole had been put into velouté. The sardine tagine was good if it didn't say sardine because we didn't taste the sardine. And finally the beef ribs, 3 bites were eaten because the rest was so fatty that it was inedible. Of course the ribs carry fat but not on more than 75% of the piece with inedible ribs. When we made the comment we were told that was how it was. So quite disappointed overall and very disappointed in terms of cuisine. We won't come back.

I went there just because I was attracted by the nice cozy terrace and I was incredibly surprised with the great service and creative and the superb tasty food. The menu changes often and there are always a few options which allows to focus on the quality. I took a calamari dish with ink-caviar and olive oil sauce and fresh pees: an incredible explosion of tastes. Moreover, I took two dessert and one of them was a yoghurt ice-cream with rabarber and vervain sauce and I found that all te ingredients were matching creatively and perfectly. Bonus: we were very lucky because it was the fête de la musique, and we had live jazz music playing by the restaurant. Price are fair for the quality of the food, service and location. Can't wait to go back :)

Went for dinner and tried the menu decouverte: Original, sophisticated, and tasty food and cocktails under a cozy green space; friendly personnel with great service. Absolutely reccommended. My only suggestion for improving is to put more comfortable chairs outside.

This is my favorite restaurant in Lausanne. There's nothing to complain about, the decor is great, the atmosphere too. The cuisine is innovative and tasty, the cocktail menu is varied and makes you want to try them all. Good choice of wines too. The owners are adorable and take great care of their customers. The terrace is pretty and quiet despite the restaurant being located very close to the city center. I recommend without any hesitation!!

A lot of waiting (1.5 hours), carafes of water never ordered but charged 2.50 CHF each, a dish for 39 CHF with only 3 fine asparagus and a ballotine of fish.... expensive, disappointing and we were hungry in leaving! Fortunately the terrace was nice. We won't come back again.

I went there with friends... and we split up while still hungry. I personally had the veal as a main course + the white chocolate cheesecake. The veal is fatty and is accompanied only by half a white cabbage (not advertised) barely worked (in addition to the mini shallot tatin) and the cheesecake is deconstructed with a biscuit that is hard as a stone. First time I haven't finished a dessert. All with just passable service... My friends took the Vol au vent, it was apparently good but not very consistent. When you offer a menu with only 3 dishes, you might expect these dishes to be extremely well executed, but that is not the case at La Sardine...

Exceptional evening, there were 12 of us to celebrate receiving our certificates, Isis offered us a tasting menu with wine pairing, it was perfect!!! We made some great discoveries in terms of wines and the chef delighted our taste buds (turbot fillet with morel sauce = killer!). Thanks to Isis and her entire team for this delicious moment. First time in this restaurant. The food and service are just awesome. We will come back and we are already looking forward to it.

We come here sometimes with friends for interesting tastes. This time as starters we had sardines and an éclaire with lamb. Both were rather disappointing - the ingredients for both dishes simply didn’t mix well. Mains were also quite disappointing. For ramen that cost 35 chf (that’s 10 chf more than some best ramens in Lausanne), the broth was very weak, the noodles were regular pasta not ramen noodles of any type, and came with no soy sauce (was needed), or chopsticks. It was ok but the whole experience of it, with asking for each missing component is 100% not worth the price. The veal we ordered was mostly fat, and vol au vent tiny - each over 30 chf. Dessert was equally disappointing - no vegan / lactose free options for a restaurant arguably with ambitions is gobsmacking. The « cheesecake » comes deconstructed, with the « cheesecake » bits far detached from what a cheesecake is. Finally, 2 out of several water / non-alcoholic glasses were chipped / broken. What a pity, another place in Lausanne that used to be good but is no longer.

Went for the chefs menu and accompanying wine. The food was lackluster for the price, would not really recommend. It seemed like they tried, and one of the four courses was great (fondue jiaozi) but the rest was either bland, or not well executed. Wine was great though.

We came to Sardine’s for the first time this afternoon. The welcome and service were warm and professional. The cuisine was of high quality and very good! As well as cocktails (with and without alcohol). Value for money, nothing to say. The place is decorated with care and we felt very good there. We will return there, for sure.

I discovered this restaurant on Valentine's Day evening and so we had the special menu for this Valentine's Day evening. Thank you again, we had a wonderful evening, the dishes were delicious, the cocktail too and the waiters/waitresses were super friendly. Not to mention the decor which is magnificent. Nice place, a bit empty for lunch. Desert was amazing but the meat was a bit overcooked. Overall good experience. They changed ownership a while ago maybe they need a bit if time getting use to the new place.
