Schokolade & Espresso Bar in Zürich

Great find that's NOT a coffee chain. Half the establishment is a coffee roaster with a large variety of beans that they roast themselves. The other half is the Chocolate and Espresso bar. The original family still owns this business into the 5th (and I'm told, soon the 6th) generation. Very friendly and welcoming environment.

Charming shop for chocolate and espresso lovers. Serves the finest chocolates as well as great assortments of Easter chocolates.

A small chocolate shop where there is always a crowd of people. I came in for some hot chocolate. It can be poured into paper glasses or cups to take with you. I don’t like drinking from disposable containers, I asked to pour it into a cup, but they refused. Like, there are no free places to drink it in the store. While they were making it for us, a place appeared. The location is conditional - these are two window sills in the store. It was unpleasant, they could have poured it into a cup. It’s already my problem where I’ll drink. The chocolate itself is delicious. Like in Lindt. 70% more intense in taste.

Bought all our chocolate to take back home here! The ladies working here are very friendly and helpful, we didn't know what we wanted when we walked in. We ordered espresso while we were looking. Everything we bought including the espresso was delectable! We will come back everytime we are in Zurich!

Bought a Cappuccino and Flat White, by far, the best in Europe! A wide range of chocolates you can try before you buy. Bought couple 85 and 90, absolutely lovely!

I’d give 10 stars if I could. We ordered the Intenso which has thicker chocolate in their hot chocolate. It was so good - creamy, thick and not too sweet. Truly the best hot chocolate we’ve tasted so far in Europe. We tried the ones in Paris as well but this shop far surpasses those in Paris in terms of cocoa quality and milk. We bought one packet home and can’t wait to have another one tomorrow. We were unsure because there weren’t many reviews on it but oh wow! Glad we found this place!

The “Schwarzenbach” cafe Yes, in Cafe Schwarzenbach you will find an enormous number of types of chocolate from all over the world and Switzerland (Felchlin). What you definitely shouldn't miss out on is the hot, homemade, ingenious, probably the best, chocolate, or rather: "hot chocolate"!

Great little cafe where you can pick up a coffee or hot chocolate while walking around Zurich. They roast their own beans here in a giant roaster that is in view of the street. They open the windows to lure customers in from the wonderful smell of the beans 🫘🤤. I had the Tonka Dream which was basically a mocha with some ground nut garnish on top, would recommend.
