Sora Sushi in Zürich

Ordered on Uber Eats, then canceled by Sora Sushi and I still had to pay - never again.

Right after lunch at a Mexican restaurant, we went here for dessert and soup. The chicken soup with bamboo and egg was good, but the dessert .. it was the BEST. Unfortunately, we were hungry so we didn't even take a picture of what we ate, but the cookie was chocolate with matcha and fruit. Excellent, I would definitely wear it again if I was passing by. The restaurant is located right at the train station, so if you come by train you will find it right away. It has a very nice clean seat in the nutra.

Fantastic quality.. which unfortunately comes at an exorbitant price. Unfortunately the waiter explained the system to us incorrectly. In Austria, running sushi means a flat rate that includes all you can eat. Here at Sora you pay per plate. And 17.50 CHF for 4 makis is a bit high for a station restaurant...

It's always good to come here, the tea was very good and the cake was also tasty.

Excellent sushi, miso and edamame! Compared to the well-known ‘Yoschis’ around the corner, it’s definitely much more recommended! Central location and nice attentive service (I can't agree with other posts that complain about the service)! See you again!

Regrettably, my visit was far from satisfactory. The service was abysmal; the staff seemed disinterested, displaying a lack of professionalism. The sushi, touted as fresh, tasted stale and uninspiring, leaving me questioning the quality of ingredients. The prices were exorbitant for the mediocre offerings. Lady with short hair displayed a terrible attitude after I chose not to tip. Their unprofessional behavior was inexcusable, making me feel unwelcome and judged. A tip should be earned through exceptional service, not demanded or expected.

We were there to eat sushi. The ambience itself is very nice, high ceilings and bright. We were served very quickly and the food was served relatively quickly. The food and the room design meet expectations and can be recommended. However, a couple was arguing loudly at the next table for probably 1.5 hours. The staff didn't make them aware that this was very inconvenient for other guests. Overall, the staff was a bit uncomfortable: the plates were pulled out from under the cutlery while you were eating and as soon as you had eaten the last sushi the waitress was already at the table and you were forced to have dessert. The same goes for coffee. The bill was also simply brought to the table without asking first. We were literally escorted out of the restaurant. To note, we consumed 130.- plus we weren't there for an incredibly long time or misbehaved in any way. This gave a bit of a bad aftertaste to the experience.

The service was relatively bad, at first there wasn't enough sushi. When asked, the waiter said that was all and was divided into three plates. Shortly afterwards he came with a new plate, but there wasn't the full amount according to the voucher either. Overall, the restaurant seemed overwhelmed with the voucher offer. With that said, I won't be going there again

The location and the ambience are ok. But the staff is extremely inattentive and very, very unfriendly. If you try to pay attention after waiting for a long time and not being served, your order will be taken arrogantly and annoyed. I have rarely seen such unmotivated staff. Shameful for Zurich Central Station!!

HERE SERVICE AND FRIENDLINESS ARE PRIMARY. Employees are very unfriendly and seem annoyed to be there. Especially the employee in her mid to late 50s with her brown shoulder-length hair in a braid. The only friendly employee was the Asian-looking nice gentleman at the front of the counter. Drinks and food are rather poor for the price. Better go somewhere else!

We order food by the app a beer, an apero and saketina... first came the food in 25 minutes and took 40 minutes to deliver to our table rhe drinks.. very Disappointed..

Went here for some sushi, the ambiance is nice, wide place with wide ceilings. Got seated immediately by a waiter and took my order. Food came out in a tiny manner, I ate well and it was good. Nothing out of the ordinary, nothing exceptional but just good Japanese food.

I ordered from toogoodtogo. Quantity was very generous! Sushi was ok, I've eaten better. Staff unfriendly they didn't even want to give us a second pair of chopsticks for my colleague because only one was included. The lady then gave us a second pair, a little annoyed🤔

I always enjoy coming here when I'm on a business trip. However, the service was again really unfriendly today. If you make the guest feel like they're completely stupid, that's not the best way to do it. And I speak from experience as I come from the catering industry myself. A little more smile and no sloppy answers to normal ones would be enough.

We sat down, no one came to take our order and after 20 minutes of waiting we left disappointed.

Superb quality sushi albeit at a high price (which might just be what Swiss standards are). We went with a friend from Basel and had a great time. Highly recommend the sushi plates with avocadoes, salmon, and tuna sashimi. Hot chocolate was also decent along with the Féchy and hot tea (served in a pot!). If you need to use the toilet, the code is by the bar cashier!

Very fine food and friendly staff

Terrible service, not giving any attention to the customer even when you approach them. Not even looking in your face or apologizing that I am waiting for peace of bread for 30 minutes. So, it is table service but you have to order it with QR code on the table and the service will bring you the food. Just the thing is the concept doesn’t function because in the end you need to go pick the food because they don’t care. 30 minutes to warm up focaccia. And no, it was not that busy.

Tried Inari Tofu Udon and a few Sushi by Uber. Pros: Nigiri Hamachi had Shiso leaf and tasted great. Aburi shrimp tasted nice but was not raw. Overall food quality was not bad. Nice utensils (love their chopsticks!). Surprised to get broccoli in Udon (Japanese would not normally mix the two) but very good idea to have well balanced meal :-) Cons: Inari Tofu (Abura age) and shiitake mushroom in Udon were a little too sweet to my taste I want to visit the restaurant next time.

While many people fight for a spot in the HB, there is always a spot in this somewhat hidden oasis. Very quietly located, SoraSushi offers a fine selection of fine Asian specialties. I recommend a delicious chicken soup.

Horrible service, not polite waiters, confuse orders, and look at the comments with contempt, food is almost all salted. There needs to be a clear work with the staff. Unfortunately they have lost good customers.

Oh my god I just had 24 pieces of sushi and edamame delivered to my home. This was the very best sushi I have eaten in my entire life! So fresh - the avocado is perfectly ripe - the cucumber is nice and crunchy and the salmon is so tender and tastes great. The rice was cooked perfectly. Simply absolutely delicious. Thank you for making my evening 😁 I'd love to come to the all you can eat

I asked the waiter red hair guy where the toilet is and he didn’t even explain where exactly. My boyfriend needs to find it himself for a long time. The waiter guy didn’t even tell us the password to the toilet but he told everyone. Maybe because we’re not European that's why he(the waiter)didn’t want to tell us anything. I feel inequality.

I've been there several times now and am always surprised at how friendly and attentive the service is and the food, especially the cakes, are very tasty. However, I think it's a shame that there is no proper receipt but only a proforma receipt, which you only notice when you've already left. I just expect a proper receipt with everything written on it that this can also be added to the expense invoice

Unfortunately the food took forever. Then the wrong sushi plate was brought to us. We didn't notice that until too late. However, the record was very good. For fish with perfect rice. Dessert was supposed to be mochi but tasted more like raw pizza dough lol. But the location is beautiful!

Went on Sunday evening for dinner and we spent the first half of dinner with the sushi train all to ourselves. The sushi was freshly made and the fish were really good. I really liked the torched salmon roll and the scallop nigiri. The sushi train had varied options, but they were a little repetitive after a while so next time I'd choose the à la carte option for more variety.

Definitely one of the best places to eat sushi. A pleasant experience and very friendly staff, the quality is top notch.

Located at the entrance of the train station. Limited choices, small portion and pricey! Restroom is free to their customers but it is 1 elevator floor down and access behind the big Japanese stature in the main area.

Surprisingly good sushi while you wait for your next train. And the people watching is super fun as well. A great alternative to the endless array of sandwiches, schnitzel, sausage, etc.

Friendly staff - I appreciate them telling us the kitchen was very busy and therefore the order would take longer than usual. The sushi plate was fresh and tasted good. The chicken udon soup was OK, the sliced chicken breast was boiled "dry" - could be better next time.

The restaurant is a small, well- maintained place in the corner of the Zurich main train station where you can't hear the hustle and bustle of the station. However the food was average. The service was also not impressive. But the prices are not that expensive. You can find a discount voucher on Deindeal for this restaurant.

Very tasty and fresh sushi is available here right at Zurich train station. The service speaks German and was extremely friendly. I paid just under 50 francs for a coffee, miso soup, a seaweed salad and two plates with four sushi each. Absolutely fine for a sushi restaurant right next to the train station. I will definitely come back here.

Good Sushi, fresh fish, tasty rolls. On the pricier side, which probably comes with the location. But above all the service is amazing, a special shout out to Rose, she went above and beyond for us as customers and deserves a special mention. We'll be back thanks to her.

Food is okay but I wouldn't go there for that. It is however a great spot to meet, or even be productive between trains.

Very friendly staff, very fine food. For non-smokers, eating outside is not so nice because there is a smoke hotspot from SBB outside and even more of a smell of smoke is caused while eating.

Very cozy and quaint lunch, snack, and dinner place at the Zürich HB Station. Convenient since it is the adjacent space beside the salad and sandwich restaurant Oscar Cafe. But is quiet and has a Zen-like ambience that balances the bustle and noise of the rest of the station 🚉 . A great place to pick food and drink from two menus, wait for your pharmacy orders from Zürich HB Apotheke branch to be processed, or wait to be called in for your doctor's appointment to the Permanence Medical Centre 😀. Has indoor and outdoor seating areas. Nearby there are numerous stores and outlets from Franz Carl Weber (across the Tram stop just outside the station), to the "Shopsville" area downstairs. The Tram stop is the Bahnhofplatz/HB Station, and a stones throw from the new Europallee Mall Complex. There is a nearby ATM (2 Teller Units)- (Geldautomat/Bancomat) on a pillar just outside the outdoor seating area.

Good quality Sushi, but its overpriced & the service is nothing exceptional.

This restaurant is at the train station in Zurich Switzerland. Quiet place to dine although in a train station. Food is good, bit pricey. The major problem is their dark menu, which I could not read so a Filipina waitress had to help me out. She was the only person that speaks English.

I went for the "The Japanese Cuisine" experience which suggested omakase-like seasonal creations. What I got was a rather low-end selection of the running belt items. Nigiri was OK, both fish and rice were decent. Maki had hard rather than crispy nori, a kind you get in local supermarkets rather than speciality stores. Also the fish in those was substandard, more like a tartar from difficult to chew cuts. Uramaki were too imbalanced to my taste, with almost no vegetables. Overall, rather poor value for money. Acceptable if you are at Zurich HB anyway, price is not a factor, and you have no other options.

The sushi dish served was very good, my oldest really liked it. The service was very friendly and attentive!

Meh. Go there if you’re in Zurich main station and you must have sushi right away. But don’t go out of your way if you’re expecting modern, fusion-style sushi. The service is good and the sushi is fresh, but the selection is very basic. Its also not cheap. The location is convenient but the restaurant doesn’t offer anything close to a fine dining experience. There are better sushi places in Zurich.

I had specifically ordered a table over the phone with my back against the wall, not somewhere in the middle of the room where people were constantly walking past behind me. When I arrived, of course, no table had been kept free for me, the best tables along the wall were occupied. Probably because there are enough free places anyway. The last reasonably decent table was occupied by people walking past me without a reservation. So I stood there in the middle of the room as if I hadn't been picked up. After a while they wanted to offer me bar tables twice (first with my back facing the room). I politely declined. So I took a table right at the entrance. You were somewhat protected by a wall, but people were always walking past. Most of the service staff spoke more confusing than understandable sentences in broken German when they contacted me. When ordering, you were left to your own devices using a QR code. The menu that is offered is confusing and incomplete. The black menu on the restaurant website is much better. In the end, the sushi wasn't anything special, and some of the fish wasn't entirely fresh either. Edamame for the price a mini portion.

Good quality sushi, exactly what you expect from a restaurant in the station.

The first batch of sushi they served was a bit 'off' but the staff replaced it immediately and without any discussion. We went there several times and usually the sushi is good quality.

Very nice, but also very expensive. Update: Unfortunately the Kaiten was not open today. It's not clear to me whether that depends on time. As short as the service is, the answer and information about it was just as short. Since everything else is automated, I'm wondering why the CHF 2 is automatically billed as a tip.

Sushi quality in my opinion below average for the high price. The two sushi chefs were very friendly! Service staff gave the impression that they didn't want to work. The salmon also smelled like fish, which bothered me the most.
