Steiner-Beck AG in Dietikon

We have ordered a “take away” coffee and sandwiches to eat in the cafe. The lady came up to us and told us that we are not allowed to drink a “take away” coffee inside as we didn’t pay for cup, we can only each sandwiches inside 😅 as we should have taken coffee not as a take away. It was the strangest experience in the world. Basically, we just took our sandwiches with coffee and ate in the car becuase of that.

When the weather is nice you can enjoy coffee and cake outside. Large selection of pastries. You can also have menus for little Huber.

I ordered a birthday cake, I told them by phone and in writing that I didn't want cream rosettes on the cake, but they were still made and the work was unsightly and unclean... it's a shame otherwise the cake was delicious

Bread: Is mostly good. It's a shame that "fit breads" and other unnecessary trendy breads are increasingly being offered here and that good, simple recipes are being avoided. But basically good quality at a fair price. Service: There are some very friendly hosts who recognize you and always have a smile on their face. Unfortunately, the majority of the service employees are really indecent and sometimes even cheeky. As soon as there's just a little more going on in the store, they're totally overwhelmed, and it shows. Ambience: The restaurant is too small and the interior design looks very cheap. The branch in Dietikon is no comparison to the one in Oerlikon. If you sit at a small table right next to the pillar, you will constantly be bumped into by passing guests and service staff. Conclusion: As a guest who has already spent over 1000 francs in Steiner Beck branches, I have to say: It is better to avoid this branch at peak times. The bread also tastes good or even better in local bakeries in the area.

I ordered canapés online for New Year's and picked them up here at the Steiner bakery. The canapés look great. I also ate two different ones there and they not only look great but also taste delicious. Nice and comfortable seating outside to relax in the sun. Lots of seating inside for a cozy coffee or meal. The staff are friendly and helpful. Despite all the stress, it was well attended, always organized and had good advice. As a ham croissant fan, I also tried one of them. The size: finally not as puny as others. In terms of taste, it could be delicious and the filling could also be firmer to the bite, it's just a ham mass - not that great. But at least it's still ham, not like other people who make Halligalli rubbish (turkey ham, right?). I'd love to come back.

The branch manager is unfriendly. We wanted to eat apple strudel and the branch manager said we had to buy the whole thing. When we bought the whole thing he said we couldn't eat it in the restaurant. Never experienced anything like this. It's a shame we won't be coming anymore.

I think it's a shame that every Steiner bakery has the same things. I'm starting to get sick of the sandwiches. In every village you can find a Steiner Beck with the same offering.

Before we went to the restaurant, we called and asked if we could take our dog. The employee said yes. As we sat in the restaurant, an older employee with a gray vest came and asked us three times to take our dog to the side (our dog was already sitting right next to the chair). His excuse was that “if he was stressed he could trip over the dog”. The service from this gentleman was disastrous! We didn't feel welcome at all.

My mother was eating an apple strudel and when she bit into it, there was an apple stem in it. We talked to the manager of the branch and she didn't think it was a big deal. It happened to us for the second time...and we asked them about it twice...The food and drinks are overpriced...I don't recommend this place

The cappuccino was delicious, the strawberries were very hard and the berries were quite soft and wilted. My son's strawberry cake was a little better but also dry. The service could monitor customers better. I wanted to order something else... it probably took 15 minutes for the waitress to notice me.

This morning we went for a coffee, unfortunately the very rude staff made our morning very unpleasant. Especially one girl, I think she is Portuguese or at least foreign, pretended not to see us as soon as we sat down at the table and we were left waiting for almost 10 minutes with the table dirty. After which she continued with this rude attitude when we asked her for the bill, she told us even turned his face. Terrible experience. I hope next time if I go there I won't find her

Fresh salads for a healthy lunch. Very wide selection of fresh baked goods through to sweet delicacies.

Cappuccino was good, served with a glass of water. Parking on site, but subject to a charge.

At the Cafe Bakery Steiner in Dietikon you can get inexpensive coffee with a delicious nut cookie and a glass of water. The service from Ms. Jovic and Ms. Bündler are very friendly and customer-oriented. I will gladly come again.

The bakery undoubtedly offers an excellent breakfast with a wide selection of delicious baked goods and fresh dishes. The quality of the food definitely deserves praise. Unfortunately the staff wasn't particularly friendly or attentive. You felt like you were a burden to them. This lack of hospitality significantly marred the overall positive experience. Despite the great food, I would probably look for other breakfast options due to the unfriendly staff.

Good day, very nice selection but service staff are rude, incomprehensible and unhelpful! I went there twice and the same employee was there each time... She is very rude and unhelpful and doesn't help. The woman has half-long hair with lots of hair clips and a big belly. And a service employee, last time he was working outside and he complained in a rude mood.. I no longer go there just because of the service staff.. and not recommended! Thanks.

I had specially reserved a table for two (outside for a birthday breakfast) and suddenly we were told there was no table available and someone had already come under that name. You also record the phone number, why don't you check that? The birthday starts off as annoying!!! Then one table was simply pulled away from another and we sat between the flower pot and the wall of the house, which wasn't exactly great...

Incredibly complicated service. You are not allowed to eat take away outside, I can only look at the menu inside and not take it outside. Icetea is ordered outside in a glass, although inside it has the same one in the bottle. Then I take the ice tea outside and don't even get any ice.

Unfriendly waiter. Arrogantly walked away when we wanted to pay the bill in September. As he ran away he mumbled, we can work it out ourselves who has to pay what. We put the money on the table and left. (no sign of the waiter anymore) I would try another job if he doesn't want to serve customers.

I wanted to order something but was ignored. When I ordered my friend got a half frappe and my frappe glass still had chocolate sauce. (I had mango) Simply outrageous!!!!

I've been taking my breakfast at Steiner Dietikon every day for 5 years. Always up on time in the morning with a friendly laugh. Huge selection I have also ordered 3 birthday cakes from them so far. They were ready on the agreed day and time. I'm always happy to show up there again. Thank you Steiner for the nice service :)

Service staff very unfriendly had to wait forever there wasn't much to do but they just let me sit I just left then I'll never come back I certainly won't recommend it to my colleague

The food was generally not bad. The staff, however, was unfriendly. I was overlooked in the café, two customers who came after me were served first. When the lady became aware of me through my husband, instead of an apology I received: “I don’t hear anything good”. I didn't feel welcome and definitely don't recommend the café.

As a regular guest, I would like to thank the entire staff for the friendly and attentive service. The goodies from the pastry shop are top notch and leave nothing to be desired. Cafe Steiner is almost my second home!

Food was ok. Bread completely normal, as expected from a beck. However, organization was very poor, and persona quite abrupt and rude.

The cakes are really delicious. It's a shame that a piece of cake increased by 14%. Otherwise it is an ideal location, free parking spaces are also available.

The two stars are for the fresh and fine products that Steiner Beck offers. The remaining -3 points are for stressed employees. It can't be that the employees are so extremely stressed every time and, above all, you notice more and more that they have no understanding for families with small children. The choice of words is of course crucial in how you say something to the customer. Finally change something, because you have very fine and good products.

We were here for the first time today (Sunday). It was recommended to us by a former Schneider employee. Busy, it seems to be a very popular place. Many places in the coffee shop were already reserved. But we were lucky and managed to get a spot. Basically all the employees were friendly and attentive. The drinks and breakfast came very quickly. Coffee is good, latte macchiato wasn't convincing. (very little foam) In terms of price, I think all the drinks are very fair, so that's okay. The small breakfast is also a great option in terms of price. the little croissants were very good. Small pretzel sandwiches were good and I found them almost too cheap, although the larger pretzel/cheese with Bündnerfleisch wasn't that appealing. It was certainly also due to the Bündnerfleisch, which had already condensed out the salt, and the somewhat weak ruccola salad inside. I don't know if it's suitable for this. I also found the sandwich to be too cold. zwätschge-steusel was good. Lots of parking spaces in the area was also very positive. We would love to come back here and enjoy Sunday morning. THANKS!!!

Dietikon branch… Unfriendly and disinterested. The counselor seemed annoyed. Actually wanted to order a wedding cake. We didn't feel welcome. We have now decided on another bakery.

Good food options that are tasty and affordable. The small breakfast wasn't that small and was very tasty. A choice of whether it was Hellea or dark pastries might have been nice, but since I'm not that picky it didn't bother me. The service was also very good and quick.

Hello Steiner stands for quality and I have to say this is the worst Steiner I have ever seen. At 1 p.m. I ordered 2 canapés and about 5 sandwiches even at breakfast. They said twice that we had to see if we still had spelled rolls and muessli half of it sorry but I think it's a mess!!!!!

Steiner Beck in Dietikä, Limmatfeld. A bakery open 7 days a week with a great selection of bread, Gipfeli 🥐 and dessert like cake and Yoghurt cake 🍰. 🎂 🍪 🍞🥪 there's also a ☕ place with seating indoor and outdoors. most frequent customers are the elderly people from the retirement home.
