Hellish experience for every coffee lover. You can get a double espresso with a Ristretto capsule (normal capacity 20ml) in a coffee cup, filled with 200ml water. You have the feeling that every bean is cried for. Unfortunately not even 2 capsules are inserted, at that price, truly a masterpiece of cost-effectiveness. If you don't have to rely on customers due to the high fluctuation rate at the airport, you can do that. But since sleep is not an adequate substitute for caffeine, you take what you get. The CHF 300 for a barista course in Zurich would be well and sustainably invested. However, the food was Steiner-like at a high level and the service was not motivated, but friendly across the board, but I also understand the stress at the airport. So... Food, yes, but I'd rather stay away from coffee as a drink.

Extremely friendly, motivated employee who served me the delicious espresso. Thanks. The butter-filled pretzel was, like the espresso, of the best quality - I really enjoyed it. I will happily consume Steinerbeck again. I can highly recommend this bakery/coffee bar.

Unbelievably rude staff. Welcome to Switzerland I guess. We bought take away coffee and were basically frogmarched out the door. We only wanted to rest our cups on a standing table while we made our hand rolled cigarettes. I will never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever buy another coffee in this place. By the way, The coffee was made with no love whatsoever, and the milk was hotter than the sun. Useless. And just mean spirited people. Avoid.

The staff is not polite.. and the pastries are nothing special.

For the first time I ordered a cake for a child's birthday party with a template. They said it wouldn't be exactly like that. Was okay with that. But when I picked it up it was exactly as I imagined it would be. It not only brought me joy but also the children.

We were served by an older woman with a German accent at the Steiner next to the Migros. I asked her if the cream slices contained gelatin. She said very cheeky sayings like: "You can overdo it", "I'm not a food technician". Gave us out e-numbers one by one, I don't think she gave us all of them. Not only I but also our guests were extremely disappointed... the sound makes the music! You don't need much brains to do this job. To answer simple questions like whether the pastries are vegetarian or not, you don't need a master's degree or anything like that.

See rude staff. When we bought it, we told the saleswoman that we would take our pastries with us. Afterwards we still stood at a table (there were no guests there, by the way), and the saleswoman immediately sent us away in a very rude and cheeky tone. I think it's a shame that such a bad image of Switzerland is given at an airport in particular.

There are 3 Steiner bakeries at the airport and they all have super friendly staff. Since I work at the airport, I can assess this every day. For over 3 years. The offering is extensive and very tasty. Keep it up Dear Steiner staff and thank you for everything 😀☀️🎈🆒

We have bought their sandwiches several times during the last years and the quality of the bread has worsened more and more: rubbery and chewy, it feels very much like an industrial product rather than a bakery one. Last time (July21) I had to throw away most of the sandwich. Surely I'll choose other options next time at Zurich airport.

I have often shopped at the bakery in Check-In 1. Yesterday, Friday, April 24th, 2020 at 5:30 p.m. I was there again and unfortunately was repeatedly served by a very unmotivated employee. As already mentioned, this is unfortunately no exception there. The cheese sandwich was also an absolute failure. For the price, you definitely expect something different from the service to the product.

The staff is not polite, I trying to have the food inside the shop, the girl said "I have asked you 2 times, why you did not mention, next time cannot.."... What is customer service provided by her.. The shop only have 1 customer having the food there.. I am the customer, I changed my mind to have the food inside the shop, I need to get 'permission' from her!!!

It was a bakery I first visited when I arrived at Zurich airport. I went to have breakfast and ate coffee and bread. I do not think the price is cheap, but the croissant was delicious. The downside was that there were some flies. The clerk is friendly. The number of tables is not large because the inside of the shop is not large. If you have a waiting time at Zurich airport or a meal time, it is a good place to visit. This is the first bakery I went to when I arrived at Zurich Airport. I visited for breakfast and had coffee and bread. I don't think the price is cheap, but the croissants were delicious. The downside was that there were some flies. The clerks are friendly. The inside of the store is not large, so there are not many tables. This is a place worth visiting if you are waiting at Zurich Airport or during meal time.

I've eaten something there several times when I've been to the airport but I've never liked it. Nevertheless, I thought it couldn't all be bad, but after I bought the driest, most tasteless wholemeal croissant there last time, it finally put an end to it for me. No more airports, sorry. Employees are ok.

Very friendly staff even when there is a lot of traffic. The curry chicken sandwich is the best sandwich around.

Even though Migros is just next door where you get cheaper baked goods, Steiner has yummier cakes, pastries, sandwiches, amongst others...

I have consumed Steiner several times and have practically never been disappointed. They have a large selection of sandwiches and the prices are totally reasonable. The newly decorated ambience looks great.

I've been getting my lunch from Steiner regularly for two years now and I'm thrilled every time. How can it be that I've eaten every sandwich so many times and still don't get sick of them? I can only recommend.

I think the nut and almond peak is excellent. They were the best I've had so far. The sales people were also super friendly. Every time I go to the airport I eat an almond and/or nut croissant.

I often treat myself to the super-fine Berliners with raspberry filling. But the last two times they were no longer as airy and fresh, rather dry as if they had been from the previous evening. A pity!

I often treat myself to one of the great and creative sandwiches. The pastry products are also highly recommended... Airport employees also enjoy a small discount. Thank you!
