Taverne Jaunpass AG in Boltigen

Was there with the motorbike a few weeks ago. Very nice restaurant and service.

We had a strange feeling as we walked up the stairs, we have known the tavern for many years and have eaten there so many times. I found it to be a very sad sight, everything looked unkempt and old if you know it from before, but the sign that is hung everywhere doesn't give a good idea (for sale), but we still ate there, the service tried hard given and welcomed us and communicated in a friendly manner. The food was good and reasonably priced. We were the only ones in the restaurant the whole time.

Had dinner there today. Service was very nice and good food. Price/performance is top. It's a shame you want to sell. Great view. The best meringues from Rime Botterens. A nice family business.

Slow. The soup was not so good. The positive is that it has indoor and outdoor restaurant close to the piste.

Food was OK. Coffee very watery. I cannot confirm the staff that is often criticized here.

Although the weather was rainy, we were greeted very friendly and served courteously. Freshly prepared regional cuisine and a freshly baked apple pie for dessert. 😋👍🏻 According to the motto: warmth before speed.

We didn't feel welcome, the service was already very stressed at 10:30 a.m.! Despite asking a nice question, we didn't get a friendly answer! 8-tung customer threatens to order! Never again for us!

Very unfriendly staff that is completely overwhelmed. As a guest you don't feel welcome and the staff shout at you if you want to close the door in winter. Waiter also shouts at small children who are crying. Overall, a rather uncomfortable atmosphere and not necessarily recommended.

Reception leaves something to be desired, lack of organization and staff in my opinion. We waited 40 minutes for the order to be taken and then almost 30 minutes. before receiving our dish. The food was ok but nothing more. Can do much better!!!

The old man who served should look for a less stressful job if he is so overwhelmed with something busy. He just reacted unfriendly to everything that happened and is obviously not suitable for this job. It wasn't that crowded either. Simply put: stressed, cursing, not feeling well. Not recommendable.

Not exactly cheap. I expected more, a really good meal like it is usual in the country.

The waitress behind the counter complains loudly. We left the restaurant straight away. I haven't seen anything more unfriendly in my opinion for a long time.

Unfortunately no. On a beautiful winter day in January, the crew was completely overwhelmed, as if the large crowd had come as a surprise. We waited a long time for food, but after 1 hour and 15 minutes of waiting, the people sitting next to us gave up their pacifier and left without eating. The younger waiter was friendly but the old man who served should look for a less stressful job if he can't handle busy times. He just reacted unfriendly to everything that happened and is obviously not suitable for this job. It wasn't that crowded either. The food was below average mountain hut fare when it finally arrived. Conclusion: Next. We'd rather take a nice picnic with us.

There is a big saloon for weddings, birthdays or memorial dinners

Great service, good food, it was cozy. We were visiting up there on November 6, 2019. Have noticed that the tavern will close at the end of June 31.6.20. It's a shame for the landlord Mr. Bienert

Not very warm welcome... To avoid !

The restaurant on the Jaunpass has a large terrace and invites you to linger. The interior of the rustic restaurant is not very bright. We were served very quickly. So quickly that we couldn't even dismount properly. There were 6 other guests in the restaurant when we visited, so there was no reason for stress. I had an espresso. Unfortunately it was very watery. I can't judge the quality of the food.

We had lunch on a warm Sunday. The service was rude and we felt unwelcome. Our food only came after 50 minutes. and we ordered the daily menu. Not recommended despite the view!

Well placed on the heights, classic cuisine.

We wanted to have some warm dinner with our children on Monday at 7 p.m. We were not greeted politely and felt unwelcome. When we asked if they were still open, we were pressed. Hot food was no longer possible because the kitchen had already been cleaned. A dessert would still work. We left without ordering anything. Opening hours according to google Monday until 9 p.m. Therefore not recommended.

Very fast, friendly service. Delicious meal. Fair prices.

Fast service but quantities a little light for a day of skiing

Refuses to take the credit/debit card, but says so after putting the plate on the table, and sends you to get cash from the campsite store...

The view from the terrace is very nice. The tavern is an old, homely restaurant. The food is very good. I can recommend it. Only local fresh products are used. The service is very friendly, prompt and very fast.

To avoid. Daily menu 22.50 for a small green salad, fries and a breaded slice.... Drink extra.

We waited 40 minutes for the sandwich. It was served to us with the information that the frozen bread had to be baked first! Strangely, the bread didn't feel warm at all. Seemed a bit unloving to us. Otherwise great view from the terrace.

We ate a disreputable “homemade” fondue!

Spontaneously I would say there was something to eat, although I'm hardly particularly picky, the 'one man show' was OK.

A coffee Baileys as bad as never before. Watery and without any taste. Too bad for the money

The service was a little overwhelmed even though there were not many people. The food we had (fries and schnitzel & roast beaf salad) was not fresh. It was ok, but I would try another location next time I am here.

Excellent location for some traditional aelpler macharroni.
