I ordered through Uber Eats. My Pad Bai Ga Pow with chicken was tasty and a large portion. Unfortunately, shredded meat was used and not minced as in the original. My wish for Thai spiciness was realized. The food was well packaged. But the price of CHF 28 (even CHF 32 in a restaurant) is far too high.

The food is authentic, always freshly prepared and tastes excellent. The service is very attentive and friendly. The quality of the food is really high and the price-performance ratio is also right. I recommend anyone who likes Thai food to go to Thai Family! I would like to continue to come regularly. Many thanks!

We ordered takeaway from here, I couldn’t believe the quality. We had the red curry with pineapple along with a pad Thai and spring rolls, all were fantastic. Looking forward to eating in!

One of best Thai restaurants we had gone to. Exceptionally tasty dishes. Highly recommended. The waitress who took our order Evilyn was really helpful to choose dishes that we liked. However the lady waitress who came before was bit rude as she wanted us to order in a hurry. That was the only drawback that we had there.

Ambience very nice restaurant. Service friendly. Not worth eating. Duck with honey sauce was bland and unfortunately the meat tasted really bad and smelled quite strong. BEEF chilly vegetable bamin noodles sauce were delicious. The beef was cooked to death and was full of tendons and tough. There was no quality there. For the fairly high prices, it's a deluxe failure. But what I have to say is that the portions are a good size and the ambience saved the evening a bit. Really friendly service. I recommend giving it a try. It was the beginning of our honeymoon and the start wasn't so happy. I don't like to write reviews. The food comes very quickly. Which probably reduced the quality and made the meat cook for ages.

I visited the restaurant on my lunch break. There was a great lunch offer for just under CHF 20. This included the selected main menu, which was no smaller than the standard menu on the menu, and an appetizer of your choice, which was, however, reduced in size, e.g. an spring roll or a small bowl of soup. But it was far enough and everything was very tasty and beautifully presented. I'll definitely come back.

We went to Basel for a weekend and I didn’t feel so good that day. This place helped me to lift up my spirit and provided me with the soul food I needed. Had a beef soup and the stir fried veggies with chicken. Just mind boggling good.

We ordered take away on 14 April 2023. Absolutely disgusting. Full of plastic packaging that was leaking and the food was swimming in oil . We threw it into the bin! Worst take away we have received in Basel! The food delivery in Basel has a lot to be desired.! Very low standard and no comeback. Never again

If you are looking for real taste of Thai meals, this is the answer of them. There are many kinds of Thai dishes for your choice but I would love to recommend “Pad Bai Ga Pow” and “Gang Massaman”. I enjoyed this lunch so much.

We went on our trip to Basel. After looking at the recommendations on various websites, we decided to reserve a table for dinner. Reservations are essential because the place was full from the beginning of the shift and when we went to dinner it was still the same. Friendly workers, fast service and good value for money. Spectacular food, pure Thai style flavors. It didn't disappoint at all!! I would recommend it 100%

The food was delivered lukewarm, it was over-seasoned and the duck we ordered was tough. a shame, despite the high price. Whether everything is in in times of climate and environmental protection If it should be wrapped in plastic, that's a matter of course.

A pleasure to be here whenever we visit. You‘re surrounded by a cozy and tasteful interior and the staff is friendly, fast and very attentive even when the place is packed. The food is absolutely great and made of the freshest ingredients. It is the best Thai food you can eat in Basel (and around it) and also the nicest atmosphere to do so. The prices are very reasonable for what you get. Expect to pay 80CHF pP including tips for a fantastic meal.

Friday, December 2nd, 2022, evening at 6:30 p.m., table reserved for 2 people. When we arrived the restaurant was almost empty. Pleasant atmosphere. Friendly staff. I chose the vegetarian menu for CHF 49.00 with mushrooms in well-seasoned coconut milk soup (Tom Ka Hep Sod CHF 8.00) as a starter, then delicious 2 spring rolls (Popia Thod CHF 9.50), vegetable stew in curry sauce with a separate sticky rice as a side dish ( Panäng Pak Tau Hu CHF 19.50) as a main course and delicious pineapple as a dessert. All the dishes together were sufficiently filling and recommended. The final double expresso was also quite good. Restaurant filled to capacity between 7:00 p.m./7:30 p.m. From around 10 p.m. the restaurant quickly emptied again.

Very disappointing experience. The front door led directly behind the backs of the people sitting nearby. Although we had reserved for 2, we were seated at the very back in a small room, with no view, on an unprepared table. The order was "relatively" quick, but the prices really surprised us, 9 CHF for a one-liter bottle of water (9 euros), that's nonsense. We had starters and main courses. A waitress comes back to tell us that the cook made a mistake and made a salad with pork instead of beef, is that okay with us? Well no, otherwise we wouldn't have ordered beef! The 3 satay skewers were OK, the sauce good but the chicken a little dry. The red curry dish with coconut milk was good but the duck was fried and the meat was dry, which is a shame because it was very filling. The more spicy curry without coconut milk was tasteless, not spicy, with an oily taste, and always this fried duck and fatty, and dry at the same time. We would have preferred less meat but of better quality. The service is impersonal, apart from a slightly more smiling waitress, we feel that business takes precedence. We feel a bit like fools. I think gg doesn't accept all opinions.

Absolutely recommended place! My partner and I took the Family starter to share, it was delicious. Afterwards I ordered Pad Thai with beef and my boyfriend ordered duck, all truly delicious. Furthermore, the staff is particularly friendly, which makes the visit even more pleasant!

Great red curry. (Green curry is also fine). I don't normally eat rice, but I love it here. Everyone is friendly and has a smile. My lunch menu is definitely available to pick up once a week.

Authentic cuisine, friendly decor. Respectful staff. The portions are large, we come away delighted. Tea is recommended, it is fresh and good. The only downside is the slowness of the service. But the quality of the food makes us forget this detail. We're full of taste buds. So you have to take your time and not be in a hurry.

Best Thai food in Basel. Green curry and duck are very tasty. The portions are big enough. It can get a bit loud and crowded, especially on weekends. Reservations are strongly recommended as there are not many tables.

Found this place to be very pricey for what is was, but the food was very good. Since we knew the portions would be large, we shared the Chicken Pad Thai, which was plenty for us.

What an amazing meal we had! A last minute decision to give it at try resulted in us getting a table right at 6 (thanks for that!) because we had a flight to catch. Definitely recommend reservations here. By 6:15 most tables were full. Great service, delicious & fresh ingredients. We will definitely come back next time we‘re in Basel.

Felt like I was teleported to downtown Bangkok or beach side Phuket. Food was authentic and unabashedly daring with its use of spice. Dishes were also generous and meant to be shared, so be careful with over ordering, albeit they are more than happy for you to take leftovers home. Service was classically Thai - warm, hospitable and accommodating. Decor and ambiance felt like you're in someone's home... a shrine to all things Thailand 🇹🇭 Try the papaya salad if you're okay with a kick of spiciness married with freshness. It was divine.

I ordered a soup and a salad here as take-away and was negatively surprised. Unfortunately the soup was sour and oversalted. The papaya salad itself wasn't bad, but for the price (and since it was available as a main course) it was very simple and hard to distinguish from a carrot salad with cabbage that you can get at Migros for 3.50. (Or is papaya salad actually supposed to be like that?)
