The staff is super friendly and it is so beautifully decorated, you immediately feel like you are in Thailand. The food tastes fantastic, I was 100% satisfied and there was also a lot for vegetarians/vegans. Unfortunately the prices are very high, so you rarely visit, but it's worth it ❤️

Authentic Thai cuisine prepared and served with love. The boss cares about the well-being of every guest and is very present. An “insider tip” that “unfortunately” isn’t one anymore.

Lunch buffet Price performance is right

The atmosphere was cute, and the food was quite good. The staff was friendly but it took 40 minutes for our dinner to arrive. Lots of tables who arrived after us got their food first.

Small but beautiful restaurant. Garden seating in summer is also very nice and in the middle of Rapperswil's old town. I highly recommend making a reservation, every table was full on our day. It is also highly recommended to visit the restaurant early. We were there at 5:30 p.m. and were able to eat the aperitif, starter and main course comfortably and in peace before most of the guests arrived. The Thai food is beautifully decorated and very tasty, as are the drinks. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely come back.

Lunch with a buffet was delicious, but it had to be written down what was what - especially for vegetarians...

Had dinner there today with the family and in-laws. Very friendly host, friendly staff in a pleasant atmosphere. Food was very good. I would like to come again. What I really appreciated was the expert advice on food and drinks.

We were there for the lunch buffet. We got a very warm welcome here and there's a relaxed, familiar atmosphere in general. The buffet is simple and well organised. Just right for a light lunch if you still have to work afterwards. The soup was delicious, but the curry was a little bland. But I think it's very accessible for a broad clientele.

The Thai Orchid is soooo so good! We sometimes order to the office for lunch and it is by far the best Thai restaurant in Rapperswil (and there are enough). In addition, the price-performance ratio is extremely good, so every person will be full. Sometimes we even eat it twice. We've also been to the local restaurant, which is also absolutely great. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. Big recommendation!

Great Thai restaurant. We tried green curry and papaya salad and both were great. They also have us a free starter - spring roll. Mangos were not so fresh for mango sticky rice. The price are a bit high.

The food is mediocre at best. It looks a little better than it tastes. We only had one dish from the lunch buffet and left. Will not come back.

The food is quite good but doesn't match the price. Very proud prices. Service is very nice and accommodating. For 2 people ONLY starter and main course without dessert and only water approx. SFr. 130.- The table wasn't set either, only a narrow table runner. Although the quality was very good, the whole thing is definitely too expensive!

It was our second visit to Thai Orchid. In my opinion, the Thai Orchid can be recommended without reservation. On a Saturday lunchtime we were warmly welcomed and given a table on the terrace. We opted for the lunch menu, which includes three courses for CHF 23.50: a papaya salad as a starter, a red curry with chicken, rice and vegetables, and a scoop of banana ice cream as dessert. There is a decent selection of beers. The dishes were excellently prepared and beautifully presented. Even the coffee was served wonderfully, decorated with an orchid flower. A certain spiciness of the food is part of it. If you don't like that, you might be in the wrong place here. In my opinion, the price/performance ratio at Thai Orchid (at least for the daily menu) is absolutely unbeatable! The service was warm and attentive. Big compliment, also to the kitchen crew. I would be happy to visit the Thai Orchid again.

Very good Thai food, friendly staff. Unfortunately it's always the same topic, many people think you're the only one in the restaurant and can't calm down with the loud talk. I've discovered that we're not the only ones bothered by it. The volume was pleasant this evening. There are still people who can speak at a normal volume 👍

We turned up and asked for gluten free options as my friend is a coeliac. The owner knew exactly what we were talking about and they had many options. He even made the daily special menu gluten free just for my friend. As 4 travelling Australians we found the owner friendly, helpful and professional. The presentation of the food and the freshness was wonderful. We found the daily special to be good value and would highly recommend the restaurant.

The food was delicious, but we had to wait 40 minutes for the reserved table. But we were compensated for the waiting time with a starter. Wine prices are definitely too high, generally rather expensive. Service TOP!

The food was delicate and beautifully decorated with carved vegetables and orchids. The service was friendly. The small restaurant was full, so I found the atmosphere hectic. The table was already booked again after us. So we didn't take coffee or dessert. A pity.

Hello, because we wanted to give a birthday voucher to someone who really enjoys coming to eat with you, we were horrified to discover that it costs 9.00 francs for shipping. I think that's a bit exaggerated, since ultimately the voucher will be redeemed at your restaurant. It's a shame we will give this person a voucher for another restaurant.

Try it for a comfortable atmosphere and if you are a Thai food lover, then welcome! We were greeted by the manager and it must be said that he is particularly nice as are his staff. We were served very quickly. The presentation of the dishes, the taste, everything is there. I did find that the small portion of papaya salad that I had at the start and which is charged at CHF18.- is still expensive however I wanted to take my leftover away and the waitress gave me an extra portion of rice which was not charged I really appreciated that! On the whole it was really good. I would recommend.

Authentic, delicious Thai cuisine with a large selection. Friendly service. It was very hectic all around, but the restaurant seems to be doing very well. There is also a take-away offer. Despite the large crowds (Sunday evening), the food was served in a reasonable time frame. Gladly again!

Unfortunately, I can't share the almost exclusively good reviews here. We ordered from Thai Orchid yesterday and unfortunately we have to say the food was inedible. The paneng curry tasted good but was completely over salted. The Massaman Curry was also extremely salty and had nothing to do with a Massaman Curry in terms of taste. In addition, the massaman was somehow thickened and therefore the consistency was not like a Thai curry should be. The Pad Thai was the only dish that we didn't have to throw away, but it didn't really taste like we imagined either. The shrimp had a pretty strong fishy flavor. It's a shame, we were probably unlucky.

My experience is limited to the lunch buffet, so I decided to only give 4 stars until I had meal from the card. But I'm sure it will be good as well.

The food was very tasty and the service was also great and very friendly. Personally, I think it's too expensive and the portions (for this price) are on the small side. Chicken satay for 19.50 (4 skewers) and sticky rice with mango for 20.50 are certainly at the highest pain threshold.

I spent a wonderful evening on the terrace. About the menu: the menu is elaborate and extensive. In my opinion there are too many dishes on the menu, which makes it a bit confusing. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They also responded very well to my special request. The dishes were very tasty and had a colorful brilliance in the composition of the spices. I used the expression on site - valuable in terms of taste. Really very tasty. I recommend reserving a table in advance.

Sehr schade, sogar Reis war nicht essbar, war mit zu viel Wasser gekocht. Essen war zu suess und überhaupt nicht authentisch. Ich hoffe dass Sie etwas grundsätzlich ändern.

Das Essen im Thai Orchid ist sehr gut und kommt dem Essen in Thailand sehr nahe. Der Geschmack ist wirklich ausgezeichnet. Wir hatten ein Pad Thai und ein Gäng Panäng. Die Portionen hatten eine anständige Grösse, mit welcher msn satt wird. Das Restaurant ist klein aber herzig eingerichtet. Ohne Reservation bekommt man jedoch keinen Tisch. Die Preise sind af hohem Niveau. 5 kleine Frühlingsrollen kosten 19.50 Franken, das ist definitiv zu viel. Wenn man sich das Essen liefern lässt sind die Preise wesentlich günstiger und die Portionen grösser. Ein Pad Thai z.B. kostet im Lieferdienst mit Poulet 22.50, im Restaurant 29.50. Die Bedienungen sind höflich und zuvorkommend. Slles in allem ein gutes Restaurant, einzig die Preise sind einwenig zu hoch.

Sehr feines Thai Restaurant mit einer gutenUnd netten Bedienung und sehr netten Gastgebern. Das Essen ist sehr fein. Der Preis ist eher höher aber die Leistung/Qualität stimmt. Das Mango Sorbet ist das feinste wos gibt! 🙂 Den Aperol Spritz finde ich fein aber der Preis ist mit 13.50 scho etwas hoch. Wie kommen aber gerne wieder! 👍🏻😊
