Suvarnabhumi in Rapperswil-Jona

Lunch menu not suitable for vegetarians. Although the website says that two "menus" are vegetarian, and although I called the restaurant in advance, as a vegetarian I was able to eat exactly 1 of the 6 curries. It was a real disappointment for me. The curry was delicious, but white rice and a curry for 25.50 CHF...? I also find it questionable to speak of a “menu” when you can only choose between a few curries. In my opinion, a menu consists of a starter, main course and dessert. Perhaps an evening visit would have been better, but lunch was disappointing.

The authentic, Thai service was very friendly and the boss was also very open and personable. the lunch buffet was excellent. the place is stylishly decorated. We'll be back, 2 adults with a small dog. Thank you very much.

The food is excellent, the service is very friendly and the boss is always there, coming to every table to say hello and ask if everything is ok. I'm there regularly and it's great every time. Last night I wasn't hungry enough to eat the entire portion of the curry, so they gave me the rest to take home. At home I noticed that they not only gave me the rest of the curry, but also added rice with it (I had eaten all of it) - wow, where can you get something like that? Simply great!

The restaurant is right in the middle of Jona. Outdoor tables available. Indoor is simple and clean with lots of plants. A welcome from the cooks and the waitress. The kitchen is open and one can watch the cooks at work although the tables are away from the kitchen. The Entrepreneur, was actively walking around and greeting customers. We ordered a somtam which was excellent. Our main course had a Kaeng Kiaw wan Kung, Phad Priow wan Gai and Pla Manau Suvarnabhumi. We would not recommend the Fish(Pla manau) as it was fried pieces of fish disguised as steamed fish. The restaurant did offer us complementary coffee and desert but we didn't want any and so they didn't charge us for an apero and a bottle of water. The matronly owner was a bit rude even though she didn't intend it. She came over after I mentioned my thoughts about the fish and said that we should have told her so as she had walked by many times during our meal time. Hope she doesn't intimidate more people.

We spontaneously went to eat here on a Monday evening. The restaurant was busy, so I would recommend making a reservation even during the week. The grilled shrimps tasted very good and the little greeting from the kitchen was a welcome surprise. I had the Massaman Curry, which I can recommend without reservation. The dessert, a lukewarm coconut cream, was also great. I'm looking forward to trying out more dishes.

Very nice Thai restaurant, both inside and out. We were greeted very friendly and were served very well and attentively. The Thai food is very tasty and the rice is shaped like an elephant, really cool and super tasty. Price-performance ratio is perfect here. The portions were so big that we took the rest home with us. Dinner in the Thai restaurant was colorfully served. The spring rolls as a starter and the sweet and sour dish as the main course tasted great. The introduction with a Siamese café and a greeting from the kitchen was also great.

Rather a bit disappointing, the buffet was varied and the portions were very large, but the fish were kept warm for too long and were rather too hard, the curry was well seasoned, but more for the European palate, there was still a bit of spiciness missing. Very pleasant value for money.

Eat: very solid, we like to go there. The Suvarnabhumi platter is rich but not our favorite. We had liked the other recommendations from the staff (ask about them) better so far. Service: Always friendly and efficient. No unnecessary, long waiting times. Location: Elaborately decorated, it is located in a former bank counter hall, which can be seen in the ceilings, floors and other features. That doesn't bother you, but it doesn't really create an exotic ambience :-)

On November 6th, 21, six of us were there for dinner. Friendly welcome, very good food, we felt very welcome. The restaurant offers no-frills hospitality. Absolutely recommended

Bedienung aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Liebevoll eingerichtet. Gespritzter Weisswein ungeniessbar mit Wasser verdünnt sauer und fad. Gruss aus der Küche eine Art Samosas kalt trocken. Satay-Spiess Poulet extrem trocken, faserig und zäh. Nudel klebrig und übersüsst. Sehr viel Dekoration auf dem Teller. Eher teuer. Was überhaupt nicht geht, in einer Blumenvase werden Zierfische gehalten, was in keiner Weise Artgerecht und zudem verwerflich ist. Dies ist meine persönliche Meinung

Schon früher unser Lieblings-Thairestaurant, ist das Suvarnabhumi auch in den schwierigen Zeiten von Covid19 Einschränkungen ein sicherer Wert! Das Take-Away Angebot wird genauso liebevoll und authentisch zubereitet, wie das servierte Essen. Die Zutaten und das Gemüse sind ganz frisch, die (schön grossen) Krevetten sauber geputzt, das Fleisch saftig und der Reis auf den Punkt gegart. Die Seasonings und Beigaben sind in kleinen, praktischen Behältern mit Deckel beigelegt. Da schmeckt nichts nach Asia Fastfood. Es sind alles vollwertige Thai-Gerichte. Wohlgemerkt, all dies in schwierigen Zeiten von Einschränkungen. Im Suvarnabhumi gilt ganz offensichtlich die Devise: Entweder richtig, oder dann lieber sein lassen!Frau Eberle und Team, ganz herzlichen Dank für das hervorragende Nachtessen von gestern Samstag. Sehr gute Thaiküche, sehr empfehlenswert. Die Räumlichkeiten der ehemaligen Raiffeisenbank wurden zweckmässig aufgehübscht. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. In der Küche arbeiten fast ausschliesslich Profis aus Thailand. Essen ist authentisch und absolut empfehlenswert. Über Mittag wird auch Take-Away angeboten. Die Chefin kümmert sich persönlich um die Gäste. Komme gerne immer wieder

Spontan haben wir beschlossen unseren Hochzeitstag im Suvarnabhumi zu feiern. Kleiner Rahmen nur zu zweit dafür mit grosser Vorspeisenplatte. Das unsägliche Tofu ist endlich weg von der Platte, dafür sehr leckere Samos - ich habe nachgefragt - die kommen direkt aus Thailand. Ansonsten ist eben auch alles Thai - alle Köche und das Personal. Bis auf die CH-Chefin, die alles orchestriert.

Ich bin begeistert. Die Ente mit Mango war Spitze. Das Lokal ist stilvoll eingerichtet. Die Bedienung war freundlich und kompetent.

I went here for lunch today with a friend and I was pleasantly surprised.We opted for the lunch time buffet, which offered a choice of 6 main dishes, plus salad and rice. Not a huge number of dishes, but there was good variety (chicken, beef, fish and vege) and everything we tried was excellent and very freshly prepared.Restaurant was lovely with a nice outdoor seating area.Easy and free parking all along the street was another bonus.Our meals were only CHF23.50 each and that included a drink, so overall it was good value.

Den Apéro haben wir draussen genommen, sehr gemütlich und schön.Auch drinnen fühlt man sich wohl - das Essen war sehr lecker, die Bedienung sehr freundlich und die offene Küche ist sympathisch. Die Gerichte sind grosszügig und man geht mit vollen Bauch.Wir kommen wieder!
