If people complain about the portion size, it's hard to understand. Such noble and therefore not exactly cheap food could be served in a much more imaginative way, there is still room for improvement, perhaps larger porcelain for such large "bits of meat". The meat, an entrecôte in one piece, was fried to perfection, signant-medium, but not really tender.

We could enjoy a very nice steak at The Meat - Premium Beefhouse in Meile in Langenthal. A really very clean and inviting restaurant with a large menu of exquisite meat dishes. Nice and prompt staff make the stay very pleasant. Of course, a large wine list should not be missing. The large cigar lounge next door makes the evening perfect.

The starters and side orders were very good. But the T-bone steak was just a disgrace and unworthy of a restaurant that mainly offers meat specialties. The 400 gram T-bone was simply no more than a schnitzel (I'm not exaggerating) 1cm thick. Of course, it's not even possible to cook such a shoddy piece of meat medium rare. The meat was tough like the sole of a shoe. This demolition cost 69sfr. Just the main course. Just amateurish! The service made an effort and was generally friendly but just unprofessional. Forgot orders several times. From the water to ordering the wine. We actually wanted to order an expensive bottle of wine from Angelo Gaja, but the wine list was never brought to us even after we asked several times. We then made do with a cheap open wine. In retrospect the expensive wine would have been 69 Sfr. Well-cooked schnitzel was just a waste anyway. By the way, the heat level of my companions' flesh was just as wrong as that of my flesh. Apparently there is no management in this restaurant and the staff (service and kitchen) just muddle around. I won't give this restaurant a second chance and advise anyone else not to visit there. Based on the reviews, the prospect of good food there is just a matter of luck! A pity.

There are only two stars because my decency doesn't allow for one star. Please finally take the reviews seriously and reflect on your business objectively. Based on customer feedback, you can clearly see the direction in which “The Meat” is developing. It would be a shame if it continued like this. We made reservations on Friday for Saturday and came to The Meat a little later after bowling (at the same restaurant). Since it was really full, we had the impression that it actually relieved the pressure on the company if everyone didn't come at the same time and we only got there after the initial stress. We were greeted with a saying "we thought you wouldn't come anymore" in a rather snippy tone. Well, after about 25 minutes of waiting we were able to order. The first tables were already empty again and the level of stress that was evident in the service did not decrease. We are amazed. Saturday evening, all reserved tables and you are amazed at how much work there is. The steaks arrived, the cooking level “medium rare” was definitely “well done” for the ribeye steaks. Given the price and the name "Premium Beefhouse" this is unacceptable. The steaks were returned and remade. Too bad about the product. Side dishes “Bärner Fries” came. And just the look gave you an idea of what went wrong. Soft, deep brown fries that began to drip when touched. The renewed complaint put the crown on what had already been questionable service. The lady told us to try them, they were really good and homemade. I then explained to her that “Berner Frites” were a branded product from the Kadi Langenthal company and should hardly have been homemade . After consulting in the kitchen, the service lady said that the “Bärner Fries” were out and that the cook had simply lovingly turned a few potatoes into fries himself. Dear professional restaurateurs, make fries quickly in 15 minutes, including cutting, watering, drying, pre-frying and finishing frying. The idea of doing this when you run out of frozen fries on a Saturday evening is just stupid. When the “product” makes it to the customer’s table, it’s just plain cheeky. Made with love isn't enough, it would have been better to do it. The new steaks were ok in terms of cooking level. We could already guess that our friends had already finished eating when we got the steaks. There was no replacement for the inedible side dishes. Before we were asked for a possible coffee or dessert, the service asked whether she could collect money. Time: 10:20 p.m. (according to opening times, the restaurant would be open until 12:30 a.m. on Saturday...). At least we were given four Colo Zero drinks and two bottles of water. The home-made fries were included on the bill . Our request to speak to the chef briefly (after the place was empty except for us) was not granted. There is no relationship between the price and performance at “The Meat”. The service is an absolute disaster. They don't know the menu and even said that the veggie dish, smoked tofu with grilled chicory, would have vegetables like fennel and other vegetables when my wife wanted to order a vegetable side dish. The tofu came tone on tone with two grilled chicory halves and two mushrooms. No vegetables and no other side dish and… tatatata… fart dry. My wife also didn't get to enjoy a side dish and even wanted to order it before the service lady advised against it. Dear service, look at the menu and google the difference between chicory and fennel. The nice service lady told us that they shouldn't have accepted our 6 people anymore and would have preferred to send us home because they were so stressed. Please? We were just flabbergasted and no longer even angry about the audacity, but rather amused. As a result, we had a fun and educational evening, but it should have been cozy and delicious.

When I read the reviews, you haven't learned anything from them! Meat is really cold, long waiting times, staff doesn't understand DE. Some even cheeky to very cheeky. You should learn from mistakes. We just had a bad meal and paid a lot. Kelner informs that it is not true, the answer is that it is like that when they are stressed. We are speechless!

Terrible quality/price ratio!!! Requested medium cooking, the meat arrived overcooked. Fillet requested medium cooking, arrived rare. To make sure we don't miss anything, cold meat and to top it off... 1 hour and 20 minutes of waiting!!! Disappointing. Only one kind and apologetic waitress, the others indifferent. Sorry...we expected much, much more! A bad evening can happen, but anyway we were not taken seriously and no one apologised. Even if a place is full and full, almost an hour and a half of waiting is unacceptable.

This was our second time eating out. Price/performance catastrophic. Starter very bland, no taste and the Thomahonk steak was not warm. Staff was catastrophic, the woman was overwhelmed with just a few guests. When I reported that the starter had no taste, I was told, "Oh, I'm sorry." We wanted to order another coffee and couldn't for 45 minutes. When paying you would say can I offer you something for the inconvenience, NOTHING. We paid over 200 for 2 people. For very poor food and service. Very arrogant restaurant we will NEVER come back.

Food not bad, but behavior of one particular waiter was inacceptable. She also tried to charge us 65 for a soup and vegetarian ravioli that were 47 in the menu because we had it "as a set" and was extremely loud and unfriendly (toxic humor) throughout. Nice atmosphere, enough parking spaces. The staff has no idea what they are serving and does not act professionally. Salad as a starter: I probably didn't have time to cut the mini lettuce, it was halved and served with some decoration. Meat was ok, but unfortunately a bit cold. Food: For these prices I expect top service and not carelessly prepared dishes. The eye is there too. Mediocre in taste. Friendly restaurant in a modern building full of discoveries for car lovers! The food is excellent and well presented. The prices may seem a little high but the quality of the dishes and the beauty of the place explain it. I've been to your restaurant three times now (over several years, several landlords). So I'm not judging you based on a single experience. What is noticeable is that the quality has steadily declined over this time. 1. If you ask for the desired cooking level, then you should also provide this cooking level. As other reviews indicate, this appears to be a known issue. Why you don't correct this is questionable. But I also see that you often only answer the top reviews here. 2. Place settings are usually checked for fingerprints in your price range. 3. If you compare them in terms of price (the NOA Bern seems to me to be a good comparison), they are around 10-15% more expensive. Unfortunately, even after the 3rd visit, I don't see how this higher price is supposed to justify it.

One of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had!!! Service 0 stars: The whole thing started with her talking on the phone while she was standing at the table and offering drinks with “Do you want to drink something or is the water there enough?” You can pour it yourself.” 1 of the 5 dishes was placed correctly, we had to exchange some of the others ourselves. Food 2 stars: The cooking levels for the “meat” were asked, but Bleu is actually still rare and medium rare is not even halfway through! Prices don't match the quality FOR ME. I've had better things. And the pepper sauce had nothing to do with pepper! Ambiance 3 stars: Decko well done but nothing special that would justify the prices. I wish you much success, you saw me three times at once: the first, only and last time. P.S.: Aquarium in the basement turned out very well

Ambience is great. Sanitary facility. As a starter there was parmesan truffle soup. Unfortunately, you didn't notice much of the truffle in the taste, so the Parmesan taste was too intense. The main course was great for everyone, the meat was right on point and very, very tasty. The service is completely disorganized, forgetful, etc. Something definitely needs to be done. That's to be expected for this price. Unfortunately, I wouldn't go as it is now. However, the potential would definitely be there.

Very disappointed… We had reserved our Christmas dinner at The Meat three months ago and were looking forward to the good quality. Unfortunately, anything but that. The order was not taken correctly and the staff had to be told who had ordered what. -The salad was standard… -The fillet was very tender but cold -The fries were covered in paprika spices and didn't really taste good... Not appropriate for these prices… What a shame!

We discovered this restaurant by chance on a motorbike tour. Now we were there with 11 people and it was MEGA! Cool atmosphere, top quality meat, good service and you can admire the great cars during the courses. It also has a bowling alley. Really worth a visit.

Anything but premium The ambience and food look nice but: service is very unfriendly and unmotivated The Wagyu Burger wasn't really edible as a burger but had to be cut up. Half an avocado is a bit excessive, but at least it could be cut into thin slices. In addition, the meat was pretty mediocre. Burger and baked potato was topped with cheap cheese and not really cheddar. The Wagyu entrecote was absolutely poor quality for the 90.-. I ordered medium but got a rare. Meat had no taste of its own and had to be eaten with sauce. I really wonder what kind of meat was used, it definitely wasn't Wagyu which was worth 90.00.

Absolutely crazy! We were there twice, the first time we received a raw and burnt Cordon Bleu, which we gave back (but the service staff were great - it made them very uncomfortable). We got the exact same cordon bleu back on the table, warmed up and brushed, absolutely delicious! It has to be said that we ordered 5 cordon bleu & 5x raw and burnt. Afterwards we were there a second time, the staff (others) were extremely unfriendly! When another drink was ordered at the end, they said "Now I have to run to the front again for a cola!? No, I won't do that" what kind of staff is that!? So this is how you are served and treated in a restaurant like this!? No thanks, never again! And if there were 0 stars to give, I would do so.

Very nice atmosphere. To be honest, service wasn't that great, rather slow/disorganized, but still friendly, so not really a problem. BUT, the Wagyu burger was a real disappointment. Dry meat with no special taste, uninspired other components, nothing premium. Bärner Frites fine, perhaps a little too salted, but fine. When complaining about the burger, the feedback was: "Yes, I wouldn't have recommended the burger to you, there are better ones on the menu." I'm sorry, what? CHF 29 for a “premium burger” and then such a reaction? A pity.

The highlight of the week! On Wednesday evening, four of us had dinner at the Hotel Meile, Langenthal, in the restaurant The Meat - Premium Beefhouse. It was a perfect evening. The ambience, the service and the 10-course surprise menu that Werner Rothen, Tim Wydler and the kitchen team created for us are simply perfect. The various courses and the fine wine that accompanied them were a very special experience. Thank you very much for that!

The Meat. If you are in the Hotel Meile or the Langenthal, definitely take a look. Make a reservation. Star chef Werner Rothen and his team will pamper you. The meat was cooked perfectly, the side dishes were a new experience, and the service was very accommodating. A nice experience. Even star chef Werner Rothen will serve you food if he has time. Very great atmosphere, very friendly staff. Unfortunately the map has been reduced significantly since our last visit. There is no longer much choice. The prices are too expensive for the amount of food, although the meat is absolutely top notch. My fillet almost melted in my mouth. The restaurant is more for gourmets and not for hungry mouths. By the way, even a gourmet could eat a lot. It was still a great evening, thanks to the staff.

Nice atmosphere, unfortunately I can't say anything else positive. Portions are a disgrace for the price. The Cordon Bleu was the worst I've ever eaten. The 3-4 pieces of vegetables were cold and there were 6 croquettes as a side dish. For the price of around CHF 34 for a pork cordon bleu, an absolute disgrace. A chicken dish had to be returned because it was still raw!!!! There was no new dish because one was forgotten. Never again!! The feedback from colleagues who had a burger was quite positive.

All in all, there were at least 4 different servers at our table over the course of the two hours (for two courses). We were invited by friends to the Meat. Summary: Ambiance 5*, service 1*, food 2*, price 2*, organization 0*. Unfortunately it's just a rip off. By premium I mean something different. They don't have control over cooking levels in the kitchen. Particularly annoying: At the next table there was a group with a dirty mutt. I like dogs. But they don't belong in the restaurant. Especially when the owners don't have control over the livestock.

Only the price is premium! Everything else is terrible! Service is practically non-existent and extremely unfriendly! The restaurant was about 20% full, but it still took forever until we got the menu and could order. The only good thing was the fries! The vegetables (peas and carrots) were completely overcooked. If I cook a can of peas and carrots from Migros at home, it tastes worlds better. The pepper sauce was a bad joke. Every packet of sauce is better! The meat was too hard (beef fillet), there wasn't even a separate steak knife... The prices are extremely high and a disgrace for the “quality” offered! Anyone who thinks this place is good has probably never been to a real steakhouse. Conclusion: once and never again...

Came unannounced. The place was full of company dinners. The chef de service refused and we received the table immediately. The service was excellent, courteous and competent even though the restaurant was absolutely full. The food came quickly and correctly. Perfect cooking level, generous portions. The service had everything under control at all times. I can only recommend the restaurant.

Very nice service, also a nice greeting from the kitchen. The spare ribs were great as was the barbecue sauce. You wait a little longer for the food but it's worth it.

The service was good and friendly, but the food wasn't worth the price. The lamb was chewing gum, the baked potato tasted like it had been made two days ago and then warmed up 😔 it's a shame, I was actually really looking forward to delicious food. And the portions are really a little small for this price... Another no go that if you have to change the child you have to go up to the bowling alley

Not worth the price at all. I organized an abbey dinner for about 15 people and everyone was extremely excited about the meal. About 3 of us wanted the porterhaus steak (1kg), which I had been looking forward to for a long time. Unfortunately they didn't have any left. An absolute no go for me. I chose the t-bone, which wasn't really good. The burgers were very good, but you can get one at another place for half the price. The location is very nice and the staff was very nice, but I will definitely never eat there again

The map is not huge. But the menus are great. If you like meat, this is the place for you. Good wines and very friendly people... everything for a perfect evening.

Definitely the best steak house in the area. Very cozy and elegant atmosphere. The food was sensational. The staff is very friendly, but the waitresses could be trained a little better, they try hard but they should work more according to the motto "customer is king". This is what you would expect, especially at a classy restaurant like this

The restaurant is very nicely decorated and offers a lot of space. The prices are like any other steak house. The portion sizes are also appropriate. The food is beautifully prepared and tastes very good. The service is friendly. The restaurant also has an impressive wine refrigerator.

I eat out a lot at Burger King, but a branch like this in Langenthal is a disaster!!! Enormous waiting time at the drive, unprofessional staff, long waiting time every time. Too many questions, I feel like I work at Burger King! Why? I still have to tell you what kind of Meli it is when I order it, sometimes you ask me where the employees actually have the knowledge. Some of the food is not comparable to the other Burger King. Waited 40 minutes for the price before I got to the checkout! No, there wasn't a long line four cars in front of me. Okay, it could be five!

We had a fantastic evening! The staff was extremely friendly and made sure that everything was according to our well-being. The food impressed not only with its appealing presentation, but also with its great taste - and at a fair price. The restaurant also offered a cozy, quiet atmosphere with beautiful furnishings. Highly Recommended!
