Tibetasia in Zürich

Had an order with "Too good to go". While tasty, the food was mostly rice and 4 small dumplings. Still hungry now. Overpriced by TGTG standards

Super delicious food. The owner makes an effort and shows you a level of hospitality that I haven't seen in a long time. DANGER! You eat too much because it's so delicious☺️☺️ The only disadvantage is that the location is a bit narrow, so there can be a bit of a crowd when queuing. Otherwise great! COME BACK

Maybe next time the observer should order a tofu pizza and treat himself to an extra dose of humor. Lunch buffet à discrétion with tea/sparkling water included in that quality and for this price is amazing. Very nice variety of dishes as well (meat/veggie momos, fried noodles, curry, dahl, salads and much more). The whole family was happy!

OK, I have to admit, I actually wanted to go to Chimy’s. Chimy’s and confused it with Tibetasia. The two restaurants somehow belong together and since we had already reserved a table at Tibetasia, we stayed there. Unfortunately there is hardly anything vegan there, apart from the ecologically problematic avocado 🥑 salad. It's a shame, it wouldn't be impossible to offer a vegan Momo plate there in 2024... but of course, next time we'll go back to Chimy's. Chimy's.

Second day in Zurich and shell shocked at the price of dining out - even something as simple as a takeaway kebab is 20chf each for a small to medium portion which is crazy! However, after much research, came across this place and loved it. For Zurich, this place's evening buffet seems like amazing value at 33chf each. All the dishes tasted great and the service was very friendly. Seems to be Indian and Thai influenced dishes, we finally had a meal that actually filled us up here and didn't cost an arm.

Found space here late in the evening. Had the "all you can eat" buffet. There was rice, various sauces and dips, salads, meat & veggie momos, various breads, poultry, vegetables and much more. The homemade hibiscus iced tea was also very nice. Very hospitable. Momos were great!!

I tried the buffet served at lunch during the weekend and didn’t have an outstanding experience which would make me come back. Food is just fine. The atmosphere outside though is quite nice with the Buddhist prayer flags hung around the terrace.

We ordered two buffet menus (CHF 33 each), and to be honest, the food is not worth the money: the momos are very delicious, but the fried noodles were dry and old, other meals tasted like they were prepared a long time ago and had been defrosted (meals are not fresh in my opinion). You could find much better food for much less than that or even for the same price! The waiter is very kind and happy, but the boss is far more disrespectful and comes across as arrogant.

I discovered this place thanks to "To good to go" and now I can't do without it. At least once a week my son and I travel quite a few miles to eat this f-a-n-t-a-s-t-i-c-o food. Furthermore, the staff is very kind and friendly. Super recommended, in fact... absolutely worth trying.🤩

From an App "TooGood togo" I discovered this kind hearted Restaurant. The localisation is near yet not too close to Zurich Mainstation. As soon as you enter the Restaurant there are gentle and very warmhearted Employees to greet you. They offer their professional advice on which dishes might be compatible to one's palate and naturally suggest the buffet. The buffet consists of more or less than 20 different dishes. Warm and cold dishes are for self serving and are constantly refilled with even more delicious dishes. The interior is built in a more wooden yet modern design. It's almost like a welcome home atmosphere. Price-wise very acceptable for a Restaurant nearest to Zurich. All in all a very recommendable Restaurant for any meat or vegetarian lovers. Kindly Sol

We had the buffet for 33 francs per person excluding a drink. The food was good. We enjoyed it. But the buffet is relatively small. Attention: For sensitive people - when the restaurant is busy, it is very loud! so really loud.

We ordered here and had it delivered. Unfortunately my avocado salad was very old and poorly seasoned. The vegetarian momos had a very poor consistency. almost a bit rotten. The curry was tasteless, the rice was neither seasoned nor had a “rice-like” consistency. There was probably something meaty in the vegetarian curry, but at least there were no vegetables. I had to throw everything away... and for 45.- chf :( (I know Tibetan food and have previously eaten very fine food in other places, so that can't be the problem, and I'm rarely picky when it comes to food. If I could give 0 stars, I would have)

We entered the restaurant on Sunday evening and it was packed to capacity. First, a table for two was set up for us between the entrance and the buffet, but then we were able to enjoy the excellent food in a quieter area. The buffet is excellent at a fair price. The staff are so friendly, we will definitely come back there again!!!

We’ve been regulars at Tibetaisa for around 7 years now and it never disappoints. Excellent value for money with the delicious buffet they offer, and the drinks are all fairly priced too. There is something for everyone without putting out too many options - as long as you don’t go overboard with your own portioning, you are able to try a bit of everything which i find great! The service is as kind and friendly as you could wish for and the boss man is always ready for a quick chat, very welcoming place! Keep it up guys, we are always recommending new guests!!
