The restaurant offers an exceptional view of Geneva Lake and Chablais Alps, providing for a really picturesque dining experience. The Swiss cheese delicacies, including a notably exquisite fondue, are definitely worthy of a hike.

Fondues, local dishes, a beautiful wine list, all in a magnificent setting. Fast and efficient service, very friendly and quick-witted. The products are good, regional, or homemade, which is a pleasure.

Deplorable reception, tells me she has no place to eat, there are four of us, it's 2 p.m.… then 4 other people arrive (without reservation) and she tells them yes, she prepares the table for them within 15 minutes!!!!! So I imagine that they don’t like people with tattoos or beards because otherwise I don’t know what their problem is! Disrespectful.

My favorite place when I want a good real fondue with good wine! Don't neglect the desserts, nothing fancy perhaps, but delicious. The view is magnificent from the restaurant and the staff are Adorable (yes with the capital A).

The place is nice, the service a little less...We had desserts and drinks. Homemade pie crust, but a little hard and filling not very tasty. However, we recommend it for the panorama and the “chalet” atmosphere. Beautiful terrace, but we were not able to enjoy it due to lack of space.

One of the prettiest authentic restaurants just a stone's throw from Lausanne and yet so beautiful at the top of the mountain overlooking the lake...the access is just as magnificent even if not easy by car if you come across another car...a change of scenery, well and beautiful! We enjoyed delicious cheese fondue, drank great wine and experienced super friendly service. We were even allowed to spend the night in our camper on the adjacent meadow for free. Be careful, the approach is very steep, depending on the camper it can be adventurous.

La Tour de Gourze is an old communications tower used to connect different parts of the canton of Vaud. It's also a traditional Swiss restaurant, run by the same family since ages, serving you fondues, rösti mit Schinken und Spiegeleier and meringues with double cream for a very modest sum of money. You have a magnificent view of the Alps and Lac Leman from almost 1000m altitude and it's thus also a great place for photoshoots. Just beware that the steep and narrow road leading up to La Tour de Gourze may be difficult to negotiate after a snowfall. Highly recommended, if you avoid week-ends during summer, when the place is overcrowded.

Fondue always excellent, the view you never get tired of and the staff always adorable.

The steep approach (25%) was easily overcome with our Ducato and was rewarded with a sensational view of Lake Geneva at the top. The great cheese fondue rounded off the experience. A reservation was a good idea for us as the restaurant was very busy at the weekend. By visiting the restaurant we were able to stay in the camper upstairs for free. But be careful: lots of mosquitoes on the meadow.

I had a great time there on the terrace. The view is sumptuous and the service efficient. The dishes are simple but well prepared with good products. My only downside comes from the coffee which is not great.

Believe! 😀 At lunchtime (1-3 r.m.) the tables are occupied. Better to come a little later. And you'll need sunscreen if you want to go up to the observation deck. Very hot in sunny weather.
