Treff in Bern

A lot of red flags from the very beginning, but we were hungry and ignored them. The whole place stinks with old burned fat (just look at the wents on the ceiling, how dirty they are), menu has cusine around the world and the whole place looks like it needs some major renovation. The food wasn’t good (I had some not fresh salad, my gf got the worst bruschetta innher life), but what will surprize you are the proces. One of the worst restaurant we’ve recently visited in CH.

We were very disappointed with this establishment. The atmosphere and food were mediocre. The employees on duty are obviously dissatisfied with their jobs. And the dirty tables, dishes and animal fur really spoiled the mood. I don't recommend it.

Restaurant not recommended at all. It's better to eat somewhere else in Bern! We had hot pot and it came as a soup, warm soy water. It's too salty and we got very little as a side dish for 66.- per person. Owner very arrogant and unfriendly. Service bad and inattentive.

The two of us were there to drink coffee and eat dessert. For dessert we ordered a “homemade” tiramisu and a chocolate mousse. Shortly afterwards we were informed that the "homemade" tiramisu was still frozen and were asked if we would like to use something else instead. We changed the order to two chocolate mousses. Both chocolate mousses were presented completely identically in the plastic container, appeared dried out and rather hard. It looked like industrially produced mass-produced goods. The service was very nice and accommodated us. For us, it will no longer be on the shortlist to enjoy a relaxed dessert. It's a shame that chocolate mousse or tiramisu are no longer made in-house. Especially when a corresponding price is charged for it.

The staff is very good, the food is delicious and the variety is affordable.

We were in this restaurant and despite having a reservation we were asked to eat outside (in the autumn in the evening, it was cool), then we were sat down at a table inside, everything was dirty, the tablecloth was dirty and had holes in it and was dusty. We asked for another table and got one (tablecloth problem same). Keller seemed like he was on drugs and said we shouldn't order this dessert. There was a dog hair in the plate and we saw a huge dog waddle out of the kitchen. The whole experience was very unprofessional and special... Food was good, but I wouldn't go there again, sorry...

We entered the restaurant around 7:00 PM. I believe the team was tired; we didn't receive good service. The meals were below average. There were misspellings in the wine menu vintages. There is an issue with the restaurant's ventilation. We were left with a strong smell of food on us.

You ordered beef for 50 francs, which was completely tough, of the worst quality and had cartilage in it. It was a big piece, but it could be better if it was smaller. The waiter had little understanding, everything came to the table cold.

The food was really very good, there's nothing to say about it. The location was probably last cleaned around the turn of the millennium, and you can see that throughout the place, unfortunately. The pictures hanging up give the impression of being in the children's room of a hallucinogen-consuming teenager, rather tasteless, but in the end we were there for the food, and that was good, no ifs or buts.

Unfortunately, half of the menu wasn't available because Asian food was only available on Wednesdays and Tuesdays and it wasn't listed anywhere. However, we were there on a Wednesday and there was still no Asian food. Very bad service. And the pizza we ended up with was slightly burnt.

Excellent price-performance ratio in a cozy atmosphere.

After we didn't receive a very friendly welcome, we wanted to order an Aperol Spritz. For some unknown reason the waitress laughed at us for this. The Aperol wasn't particularly well prepared either. The nori in the sushi was very hard, which generally lowered the quality of the sushi. For the main course I took the fried duck, which wasn't exactly great for 34.50 francs. When my colleague tried to pay with cash, the waitress said: "Are you kidding me?" Unfortunately, I can't recommend this restaurant for the food, the drinks or the hospitality.

We were greeted ridiculously and shown to our table. We were also humored by our choice of drink and whether we were “sure” that we wanted to order this. The food came relatively quickly and was okay, but not what you would expect from a restaurant. The main course was partly warm and partly cold and the service had a very unprofessional demeanor. When we wanted to pay, the amount of cash I handed over was mocked and expressed very loudly, so that everyone in the restaurant knew about it. Not recommended, especially for this expensive price.

Pizza 🍕 is delicious, large, quality ingredients. Very nice service. Prices ok.

If you are Not hungry And rich this is the place to go

Extensive menu and I was really disappointed that I couldnt have a meal here as had already eaten at a Pizzeria down the road. So we figured we’d grab a coffee and a creme brûlée here. I asked the female waiter and she directed me to a tall, middle aged brown guy. No response to my “hello”, no niceties exchanged which was probably my first and only ‘unfriendly’ experience during my entire stay in Switzerland. His response to me “do we have creme brulee” my response “yes it's on your menu”. He seemed so disinterested to even respond. I get it if you've run out of an item or no longer offering it but there's a better way of responding to enquiring customers. Zero on customer service skills. People like him should just quit the service industry. From all the reviews ive read the food is at best sub-par so im not sure why he has such a stiff attitude. He really left a sour lasting impression on my last day in Switzerland. Im sure hes the one responding to reviews in a sarcastic manner with zero relevance to the review itself which further explains the massive chip he has on his shoulder.

I can't say much more than the fact that we ordered a cheeseburger (31frs) to receive industrial bread, a frozen steak, poorly washed salad and a packet of ketchup with frozen fries... in short : twice as expensive as McDonald's and six times worse.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Café Restaurant Treff in Bern and I was completely satisfied. The pizza and spaghetti carbonara we ordered were simply delicious. I discovered the restaurant through the qbon app, which was a plus. The service was extremely friendly and attentive, which made my visit even more pleasant. I enjoyed my meal outside, which was particularly nice that day. Overall it was a great dining experience and I highly recommend this restaurant!

Easy restaurant with diverse food for all tastes ! Also children friendly

I visited this restaurant last September, and they certainly offer a wide range of options. The service was excellent, but I found that the taste of the food didn't quite match up to the portion sizes.

Service was decent. But unfortunately my pasta carbonara was more like a thin soup. I don't think this is possible, especially for the price you pay. My friends' food was tasty, but unfortunately for me it was a downer.

We had a voucher for sushi. Everything, from the reservation to the invoice, went perfectly. The miso soup and sushi platter were very good, pleasantly large and fresh. The chocolate mousse was nicely prepared and tasted okay. The service (from Veronika) was excellent and professional Thank you! Only the furniture and the decoration outside could be freshened up a bit, but otherwise I'd be happy to go back.

I made an early reservation for our team dinner (approx. 25 people) in the restaurant by email and had the reservation confirmed by phone. When we arrived there on the evening in question, we were shocked to find that our reservation had not been noted at all. However, at least there was still room for us. Service: The employees, especially one, seemed to be overwhelmed very quickly. The behavior of one of the employees was simply disrespectful. The way she treated the guests and the way she communicated with us is an absolute no-go. Our wishes were not completely fulfilled and the wrong drinks were sometimes served. Food: Overall, the food was not very satisfactory. The pizzas and burgers were actually okay, although not outstanding. The meat wasn't very tasty in terms of taste and didn't seem to be of very high quality. The expensive beef fillet was repeatedly not prepared correctly. That was very unfortunate. Some dishes were cold and/or bland. All in all, we were not satisfied with our meal/stay in the restaurant and unfortunately cannot recommend it.

Relatively affordable place in a not so affordable country. 😉 Also it is situated at a great location with excellent ambiance

I feel like this restaurant is an a depressing downward trend. From its unusual concept of Italian/Asian dual restaurant, it should have been obvious that the restaurant wouldn't excel at either. Yet, they had great reviews in the past. When we came in, there was a single overworked waitress and an obvious sad looking place. We had to bring the utensils to our selves, and we were apprehensive about the state of the food. Thankfully, the food was actually good, especially the Asian dishes, which means a good restaurant was situated here once. Hopefully they are able to resolve their issues, maybe specialise in one cuisine, and return to their four glory.

Stopped in here to get out of the rain while walking around Bern. The coffee was good and very nice friendly staff.

Loved Thai restaurant. It was a bit weird to have a combo of Italian and Asian food in the menu, but that didn’t take away from the quality and taste. Plus the owners Siberian husky is a pleasure to visit with for lunch.

Great location and they serve good pizzas.

The cleaning condition is poor. It is rare to find such a dirty restaurant in Switzerland. And the black employee with dreadlocks was so unfriendly that it was unpleasant. When I asked for a straw, he sighed. Moreover, when I asked for a plate to share, he even frowned. Other guests next to me also complained about the unfriendliness. If the boss sees this, he will have to change the cleaning situation and fire the employee who is so unfriendly and disrespectful.

The food was still okay. The staff is very unqualified and seems overwhelmed even with a few guests. The whole restaurant looks dingy and needs a thorough cleaning/renovation. Once and never again.

Good food. Surprised by the few people on the terrace at midday. But people arrived around 2 p.m. to eat. Besides, the sparrows were more numerous than us at midday. Too bad there was only one server on the terrace at the start of the service. Paid parking nearby and establishment accessible for people with reduced mobility.

I went as a group. I had a reservation for 6:30, but the food didn't come out until after 7:20^^; Haha, even though we were a group, we made a reservation in advance. I just said sorry, but they rolled their eyes and shouted. I ordered steak, but the risotto that came with it was so burnt that I could barely eat it, and the meat was so dry that I had more than half of it left. I've never left any meat before... but the food is really not that tasty. Eating on the street had a good atmosphere, but other than that, it was a restaurant with no other advantages. A lot of Koreans are coming, but I really want to stop them~~~^^

The soup was good however the pasta dishes were mediocre, it was cooked well but the seasoning was missing. The staff were friendly. Though the atmosphere left something to be desired. With a bit of attention to detail they can level up the experience

Located exactly at the entrance to the main and historic street of Bern, this restaurant is a good place. What's more, it is very useful for troubleshooting. Indeed on Sundays while most other restaurants are closed this one remains open. As for the cuisine, opinions can rightly be divided. Indeed, the dishes served are pizza, Asian, etc. and I had no complaints. The town hall car park seems to be the best solution for parking in this area.

We tried local wine and french fries. Good place to hangout near to the Bridge.

I don’t use Google maps for reviews, only for guides but at this I needed to, the services was so bad, the waiting was long and I got a Incorrect order. Just avoid this.

I don't recommend. The map is very confusing. There are sushi, burgers, pizzas, etc. This is not a good sign already. Then after ordering a nusslisalat, it is really not good, it is not properly washed, and bathed in sauce, and the speck is not speck. It's bacon. Burger: industrial bread, frozen fries, 1 sachet of sauce. Very average service. I have to go get my ashtray myself. The water in the carafe is hot.

There were 6 of us on a Sunday and wanted a spontaneous late lunch (around half past two). After 30 minutes we were allowed to place our order, 45 minutes later half a dish from one person arrived, 20 minutes later the drinks, 20 minutes later another part of the food, and another half hour later the rest of the food, which was cold. We asked for cutlery 3 times... Orders were forgotten. The poor service staff was completely overwhelmed and therefore unfriendly. Should it be foreseeable for an operator that more staff will be needed on a summer Sunday. There was everything on the menu, but a reduced selection and consistent service would perhaps make more sense. As a guest you just get annoyed about something like that. I would never eat there again.

Situated not far from the bears, this restaurant served us very pleasant meals around 3PM which is rare. My pizza was very good and others enjoyed their summer dish. Menus also come in English.

Disastrous service. Menu card didn't come for a long time. After that it took forever until the waiter came. After a total of 60 minutes some of the food came…

Just do not go there. In half empty restaurant I wait more than an hour for a cold burger… yeap finally i got it cold. But i was lucky to get my burger because my friend whom ordered pizza needed to wait over one and half hour. Unfortunately such a waste of time… We shared our feedback that it is too slow and got the response that “I know…”. Hilarious…

Toilets very dirty. Really disgusting The food (cake & tiramisu) wasn't exactly a hit for the price either... Conditions were very friendly!

Service is nice, but very unprofessional. The fillet was overcooked and absolutely unsuitable for the hot stone. Fries were forgotten and delivered later. All amateurish. Interiors are dingy. It was just OK, but we won't be going there again.

Went there yesterday around 5:00 p.m. with a friend. When we ordered we first said... Asian cuisine, then we wanted to order pizza... the waitress said: "We're out of cheese." I was shocked! Since we already got the drinks, we decided on the bruschetta starter. It wasn't until 40 minutes later that the bruschetta arrived... but it was the worst bruschetta we've both ever eaten!! Just bread with onions and very little tomatoes. I was just angry and just wanted to leave. Plus everything was overpriced... Never again... and I don't recommend it either! One star is even too many! Zero stars!

The restaurant itself have a variety of stuff (pizza, pasta, burger, sushi) and usually that’s the kind of place I avoid for sushi, but I was surprised and pleased to see that the sushi is done in a entirely different kitchen with a cook just focusing on that. The waitress was very friendly. Sushi was very fresh and yummy. And the dessert was very pleasant too.

This place has amazing cuisines from many different parts of the world. I myself had a steak (about 250 gr.) on a hot stone with sauces and fries and it was amazing! The price is a little high, but its quite normal for food like this in switzerland. Recommend a visit.

Never seen before🤬 horrible customer reception, let's not speak German, he offers us the Spanish side. Great. Finally, if the waitress would take care of us, but no, she couldn't help us, we have the right to a lady who speaks Croatian, German and English. Service from this horrible lady too, we put enormous pressure on me to place the order, when I asked her for information about a wine, she replied almost by yelling that she didn't have time for that. After the food level apart from the spring rolls the rest was deplorable. No information that my dishes contained onions and pickles. No right to choose how my meat is cooked. Finally, I won't go back there again and I advise everyone not to go there.

I recently visited this restaurant and ordered the carbonara spaghetti. I must say, it was delicious! The flavor and texture of the dish were spot-on, and I really enjoyed every bite. The service was also great - the staff was very friendly and accommodating, and they made sure that my dining experience was a pleasant one. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also nice. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, and I felt relaxed and comfortable throughout my meal. However, I did notice that the food was a bit soft and oily, which could have been improved. Despite this, the overall quality of the dish was still excellent. Overall, I had a great experience at this restaurant and would highly recommend it. The delicious carbonara spaghetti, combined with the friendly service and pleasant atmosphere, made for a truly enjoyable dining experience. I look forward to returning and trying out more of their menu!

Food came quickly and was good. It was very loud in the restaurant. A conversation with the other person is therefore impossible.

The worst place in Switzerland. I don't know if it's a slaughterhouse or a construction site, but let's not call it a restaurant. Very poorly managed, poor service, owner unfriendly, arrogant and incompetent. Better if he changes jobs. This isn't for him.

We had a great lunch. Very courteous. Very interesting value for money (obviously taking into account that you are in Switzerland... 🤪). The goulash soup is truly fantastic.

The food is very good, tender squid rings and crispy prawns, we were served extremely friendly by Giannia, who gives you a great evening/afternoon in this restaurant, where there seems to be everything imaginable to eat :). Thank you very much, we'll be happy to come back.

Fairly decent meal. It was one of the very few options on Christmas. It's mostly fusion judging from the steak I got. It came with cauliflowers, carrots and broccolis which was an interesting combination together with fries. Steak was probably 250g or less with a very tight space on the hot stone. The season beer was good. Overall 4/5, price is a bit steep for what it is but again this is Switzerland and also it was Christmas.

Everything was SUPER DELICIOUS, we went 😋....4 adults and 1 girl 7 years old, several menus and Spanish wine 👌, conclusion among all of us, Delicious 😉

Good food with very nice staff!

Literally the worst experience I‘ve had in a restaurant my entire life. Expect to wait an eternity for your order to be served and disrespectful behavior from the staff. Generally a very nasty place. They should clean more often. Vile. During that evening they have lost many customers. Just stay away from this restaurant.

Gluten-free eating is possible, you are very flexible. good quality. something else.

The food (chicken curry) was great, the vegetables were crunchy and tasty, the service was friendly and quick. A large selection of different menus is offered. Highly recommended!!

The service is great and the staff are great but the pizza isn't the best. It is too salty and it is very oily. The base is thin and is really good but the rest really needs to improve.

Here in this café ☕️ restaurant 🍽 there is a wonderful, strong coffee that gives you strength for a city tour in Bern 🇨🇭. The staff 👩&🧑🏻 is friendly and serves excellently. Nice terrace 🤩.
