Good service and regional beer is still tasty

The two of us entered this rustic restaurant for a cozy beer and, with a bit of luck, got the last free table. The noise level was accordingly, but that didn't bother us for a drink. Since we were engrossed in conversation, we didn't even notice that a quarter of an hour had already passed. We actively tried to place an order, even by waving and shouting, to no avail. It wasn't until my colleague went to the bar himself that I got the hard-earned beer. At least this one was very good. There is no need for it here, people come in droves.

The former Linde restaurant became the Ueli-Brau-Bar. A change that has it all. Ueli is not just the name of the bar, it is also the name of the brewery with fine beer. A visit that's worth it.

Great place for beer lovers! First we had a simple but extremely exciting tour of the small brewery. The lady who showed us around did an excellent job! Afterwards we went to the bar. A great job was done there too. The bartender was uncomplicated, cheerful and friendly. All in all, I would come back at any time! The beer tasted excellent!

Great fondue, great service and good beer, what more could you want? The meat comes from Jenzer, the cheese from Wirth and the spent grain bread from Beschle, there's nothing wrong with that.

Great brewery. The beer is very diverse and fine. Had a dark and a camp. The ambience is very appealing and absolutely appropriate for a brewery. The staff is extremely friendly and customer-oriented. It was very pleasant, thank you. I can only recommend the brewery. You can also eat here. In cold seasons there is fondue here. A typical Basel pub. A great place to meet up with friends and have a few beers. I would love to go there again and again during the Basel carnival.

Had such a great time here, really delicious beers - we got the selection of 4 to try and then chose our favourites. All really tasty and fresh, the food is authentic and delicious with a great manager/owner (?) who spoke to us about all our choices and helped us decide what we’d like. Really recommend, the atmosphere is chilled and casual which makes it a great evening out!

We reserved a table here and were not disappointed. The food is very good and the beer is simply amazing. We would definitely like to come back.

The sausage and cheese salad deserves 1 point. This was the worst sausage and cheese salad in my life. And it cost 25.80 with fries. The dark beer was stale and lukewarm. With offers like this you don't gain new regular customers, only one-time customers. I preferred not to take a photo, otherwise no one would go there anymore. Maybe other dishes are better. Addendum Thank you, Mr. Kohler, for taking your customers' comments seriously. I don't care about the sausage and cheese, the point is that there was hardly any cheese in the dish, not a lettuce leaf under the sausage salad, none. Garnish, no onion rings, so the customer can decide for themselves whether they want them in the sausage salad. This will cost you a few centimes, but it will add 100% more value to everything. But maybe that's your concept, that it has to be so minimalistic and not look nice. I don't doubt your beer lines, for a brewery I think the customer shouldn't have to find out that the beer has been in the line for a long time, which can happen with types of beer that don't charge that much. I give you another star for the friendly staff and for your efforts and the second beer (lager) was also good. Good luck.

A unique place to meet friends.

We have reserved a table for two people for yesterday, March 22nd, 2023. Were there on time, came in and sat at the table marked. The food/drinks menu was already on the table. We picked and talked to each other a bit. We didn't notice that 15 minutes had already passed. - We weren't greeted or - no indication that it is longer “I” saw you We got up and left again. We had a very nice evening in the Fischerstube. Food, drink and service was really good. Thanks for the hospitality 👎 I have adjusted the rating. After the last visit I thought I'd go again. Won't be showing up again anytime soon. Cozy place to stop and enjoy a good and fresh beer 🍺. There's also something small to eat and it's super quick. Thank you 🙏 I'll be back Greetings Fabian

Very great restaurant especially at the table with the tap. The food was very good! (Citizens) Unfortunately there was a mistake regarding the table reservation, but the boss ironed it out well.

Beer is great, food is delicious, but the bar has more of a canteen feel. Prices quite overpriced!

It's just cold. It is unreasonable to offer food at this time of year and at these temperatures.

I really enjoy coming here, on the one hand because of the great beer selection and on the other hand because of the well-chosen menu. In summer you can sit in the beer garden, in winter a fondue parlor complements the indoor area.

The fondue portions are too small and a second helping will be charged in full again. The pretzel with the beer fondue, which was still available in the Linde back then, was also canceled or costs extra again. The beers are good, but unfortunately the fondue is a disappointment.

A fab micro brewery with a small menu. We had fish and chips and a burger. The burger is a must try. The fish and chips were fab, super chunky chips and fish which wasn't dry! The beer is on another level ..fresh and crisp. The service was good, the waiter was fun and spoke good English. I recommend it 100%.

Absolute favorite bar, PRIIIIIS!

The atmosphere is cozy, a real pub feeling and the service is extremely friendly. The food is delicious and the quality and price are right, the offering has been changed in the meantime, very positively in my opinion. The drink prices are a bit too high for my taste.

As in the Nelson or the St. Jakob - where it says Stephan K., there is also Stephan K. in it. A person who was simply born to host, in my opinion. Together with Imi and the rest of the team you feel like you are in your own living room. Friendly, funny, warm-hearted. Plus, the beer is great and the food is delicious (at least the snacks I've tried so far). Absolute recommendation.

My dad and I went to the Linde in front of the Basel Tattoo derniere all these years. At first we were disappointed because we didn't know where to serve the Ueli beer. So we tried the Ueli-Brau-Bar. Conclusion: Simply delicious 😋 The fish crispies and the homemade burger are excellent. The fries have a certain bite until the end. And the beer tastes good even after two years away from Basel. 🍻 🍔 🐠 🍟

Friendly, attentive service. The food is freshly prepared from regional products. Of course you have to drink a Ueli beer. Lovely again!

The Brau Bar Burger is the best that Basel has to offer in terms of burgers. Super friendly boss, very attentive service, you'll definitely get full and the prices are more than reasonable. Always happy to come back. Many locals come to eat here. A piece of Basel gastronomic culture 👌🏻

The Ueli is super delicious! And the outside waiter so nice and funny! The rest of the staff are a bit snoring, but relaxed.

There were 10 people in the Ueli-Brau-Bar and the boss preferred chatting to other guests rather than serving us. Waiting time about 15 minutes. I then decided to order at the bar and I met a very friendly and personable waitress there. Drinks and aperitif were really good.

I have rarely felt as welcome in a restaurant as I did here. Drinks menu was excellent and extensive. The prices are more than fair for this quality and regionality. I haven't been able to try the food yet but will do so soon. The ambience is just right, no unnecessary looks or dust catchers. I can only advise everyone to stop here.

It's great, lots of different types of beer from the region and surrounding area which is great. Nicely furnished. The staff is super nice. A visit is always worthwhile. Highly recommended.

In itself a great place to eat, drink and relax. Great music, generally great staff and there is always a good atmosphere among the guests. It definitely has pub charm. Can highly recommend it. Unfortunately, it is not clearly stated anywhere that for people with a mask certificate, the operator makes use of the house rules and the certificate will unfortunately not be accepted. So I'm looking forward to what I hope will be a mask-free time in the bar soon.

My husband is an absolute fan of Ueli beer and so I couldn't avoid it. Aaaab...that 🍺 was good. I'm more on the pale ale/IPA side and they're really good at that. And the food was good too...

Great selection of drinks. THE table is great. Prices are ok. Industrial charm takes some getting used to. But it doesn't spoil the coziness.
