Vernissage in Zermatt

I stayed in the River Room - it was exceptional. Met all expectations and the staff were super welcoming.

Generally, the hotel is nice. It’s in a good spot, the spa is great, and the view of the Matterhorn is stunning. The service of the rooms was spotty, where the cups had gunk inside of them and the trash was left overflowing during the cleaning. The biggest problem, however, was with one of the receptionists named Victoria. Of course, we never enjoy complaining about someone by name, but this was a terrible case. From the beginning, she was very standoff-ish and condescending. She made out of the blue remarks like “I don’t think you guys want me to talk a lot”as she showed us our rooms and was always just very uncomfortable to be around; this event was just one of the much worse. We felt very stifled and uneasy anytime we walked by her. The last straw was on our last night. Around 9 pm after a nice dinner, as we walked to the elevator, she essentially chased us demanding we pay the city tax (normally paid during check out) in front of many people. Reasonably, we were willing to pay. But it made no sense that she’d hunt down a customer randomly and, even worse, she tried to affirm that we were a certain room number - that wasn’t even our room number. She attempted to backtrack that, if we were departing at 7 am, there would be no one to check us out. Behold, as we walked out at 7 am a friendly receptionist greeted us the next day. The hotel is fine, but her attitude and lack of respect for customers ruined our stay.

Walking distance from train station, shops, and grocery market. But, personally I did not appreciate the decorations nor the complicate entrance.

En préparation pour une excursion dite de dernière minute pour un séjour familial, j'ai été agréablement surprise et totalement conquise par la qualité de service de Julia une réception très professionnelle, avenante et extrêmement sympathique lors de ma réservation téléphonique Julia a pris soins de faire toute la communication en français ce qui a facilité nos demandes particulières. Very nice staff, warm welcome, one of the greatest rooms I've ever had in any hotels, the Double Room Deluxe with Matterhorn View (27m2). Perfect location in the heart of Zermatt and less than 5 minutes from the Trainstation. The breakfast was fantastic, the dinner good as well. The price for the dinner was quite high for what we ordered, but might be due to the special situation. We will definitely come back.

Hôtel qui a une déco originale. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le petit déjeuner et l accueil global. SPA sur le thème de la Création au sens biblique du terme était très bien également. A réfléchir tout de même si en période Covid, il ne serait pas nécessaire d imaginer un roulement sur réservation. Pas très confortable d être à 6 dans le jacuzzi, de trois familles différentes. Le restaurant a malheureusement été une déception. Peu de plat proposé pour les végétariens et la carafe d eau payante très mal venue :( Nous n avons pas eu beaucoup de chance pour notre chambre, nous entendions des pas en dessus de nous et vu que le plafond est bas, ce n' était pas agréable.

Aufgrund der sehr zentralen Lage brauchte es nur 3 Minuten zum Hotel. Bei Bedarf wird ein kostenfreier Shuttle zum Bahnhof angeboten. Der Empfang sowie die Betreuung über die gesamte Zeit war äußerst herzlich und sehr zuvorkommend. Sehr toll war die Möglichkeit ein Geburtstagsspecial sowie Blumen direkt über die App zu buchen. Das Frühstück war sehr ausgewogen. Das Essen im hauseigenen Kino ist ein echtes Erlebnis - nicht nur kulinarisch. Das Individuelle Design ist bis ins Detail durchdacht und zieht sich durch das ganze Hotel. Wir kommen gerne wieder. :)

Familiärer Umgang und ausserordentlich gastfreundlich. Reichhaltiges Frühstück mit frischen Broten. Sehr feines Restaurant mit aufmerksamer Bedienung. Individuell gestaltete Zimmer. Nicht ganz neuster Stand und eher klein aber durchaus mit Charme. Zentrumsnahe Lage. Preislich eher hoch, was wohl aber der Saison geschuldet war.

Wir waren Anfang Februar 2021 im Backstage in Zermatt. Grundsätzlich ein tolles Hotel, mit tollem Restaurant und kreativem Spa-Bereich. Dennoch gibt es einige Punkte, die uns wohl von einem weiteren Besuch abhalten würden. - Wir haben klar nachgefragt, ob die Bar im Moment offen sei. Dies war einer der ausschlaggebenden Punkte für unsere Hotewahl. Einen Drink geniessen, da man das aktuell ja sonst kaum kann...Die Frage wurde bejaht und vor Ort stellte sich heraus, dass die Bar seit Oktober zu sei...uns dann mit einem Gin-Tonic abzufertigen - naja. - Wir haben die Lovers Cube-Loft gebucht, vor Ort aber die Family Cube-Loft erhalten. Nicht so tragisch, aber sollte dennoch nicht vorkommen. - Beim Spa war einmal die Sauna aus trotz Hochbetriebt und das Floating funktionierte auch mehr schlecht als recht... Alles in Allem also noch viel Luft nach oben für ein eigentlich tolles Hotel.

Espace gratuit à la clientèle comprenant jacuzzi, hammam, salle de massage, salle de détente, salle de repos et une piscine. Sachant que des instituts externes dédiées à ces services en plein Zermatt peuvent coûter une centaine de CHF voire plusieurs. Les chambres sont spacieuses et chaleureuses, bien colorés et amménagées : machine à café, TV + enceinte, grand lit confortable, baignoire, douche, grand miroir, canapé, térasse avec vu sur le Mont Cervin/ville/espace bien-être. Celles-ci sont représentatives du prestige de l'hôtel. Le personnel est qualifié et très accueillant. La cuisine est ouverte sur la salle à manger et offre une vue sur Zermatt. Le petit déjeuner offert, copieux offre une large panoplie de choix ; j'en sors satisfait et bien rassasié. D'autres espaces sont mis en place comme une salle de cinéma (fermé en période COVID je crois), un magasin de sport notamment pour faire des sports d'hiver. Je tiens à remercier la responsable Fabienne pour son amabilité, gentillesse et pour le profesionnalisme dont elle a fait preuve suite à une erreur de réservation. Et n'oubliez pas qu'à Zermatt les voitures sont interdites sous peine d'une très grosse amende.

Séjour incroyable, au delà de nos attentes. Personnel très agréable et accueillant. Cadre très chaleureux. On a passé une nuit tout confort dans une chambre parfaitement équipée avec accès à un balcon privatif et une vue incroyable sur le Mont Cervin. Le petit déjeuner était très généreux au matin et l'accès au SPA toute la journée était très relaxant. Je tenais à faire une mention spéciale pour Fabienne, chef de réception qui a été très arrangeante suite à un petit problème de réservation, merci encore. J'en garde un merveilleux souvenir !

Da die Restaurants in Zermatt Geschlossen hatten, wegen Covid 19 Haben wir im Hotel gegessen, und muss sagen es war super, wie Sie das alles organisiert hatten. am Abend gab es immer ein 3 gang Menü. Schön und stilvoll eingerichtetes, kleines Hotel mitten in Zermatt. Sehr freundliches und äusserst hilfsbereites Personal. Spa bereich ist schön gemacht, jedoch relativ klein und etwas enttäuschend, da die Erwartungen nicht ganz der angepriesenen Realität in der Broschüre entsprechen. Staff ist top! Das Frühstücksbüffet ist als wäre kein COVID-19.. das SPA überzeugt mit outdoor Pool & Sauna, der Rest ist eher ungepflegt. Das Zimmer sehr künstlerisch aber nicht praktisch (keine schliessbaren WC Türen z.B) WLAn & TV funktionierten nicht. Lage ist gut. Für den Preis findet man in Zermatt sicher Besseres und im Vergleich zu 4* Hotels in Grindelwald, Gstaad oder Bern/Zürich klar unterlegen. Würde ich nicht weiterempfehlen.
