Rather… mixed experience… It’s “good” but… much less good than before… The background music is way too loud. The entrance buffet is very meager and there is little restocking. The buffet of cooking foods is OK although the cutting of vegetables is a bit rough and not otherwise well presented. The chef in the kitchen is pleasant and very polite unlike the waitresses who are not very friendly and rather cold. The bill arrives, the reduction announced on the children's menu had to be claimed and instead of the 50% expected, 20% was granted... too bad. We're not going to come back to that and we're not going to make the best ad.

Nice culinary concept, however the place has deteriorated over time as has the service. The dishes are not restocked… the all-you-can-eat principle is obsolete in this way… Too bad with a capital D…

We have (too) often had problems when paying (menus added, coffees added, drinks added). We regularly announced this to servers that did not correct all of the errors. I absolutely do not recommend and invite customers to check their receipt.

Very disappointed with this restaurant. The reception is poor. Some servers are not smiling. We have the impression of disturbing them when we go to help ourselves at the buffet. We should embrace the concept of the restaurant: customers get up to serve themselves, it’s logical that they are on the path of the waiters! Likewise when they fill the buffet, we have the impression of disturbing them. But hey, positive point: the food is good.

First of all, very disappointed by the welcome, the staff lacks a smile and we feel too much. It would be nice to clean the windows to see this beautiful landscape! Hygiene to be desired, there is not even a hand dryer in the WC. I'm sorry to have had 3 more slices of mozzarella, it upset a waiter who made it clear to us, my apologies. Too bad the place is really beautiful but exploited in an unacceptable way.

After a last mixed experience, we wanted to give this restaurant another chance. Unfortunately I did not find satisfaction there... 5 of us came on a Sunday evening and despite a reservation made several days in advance, we were surprised to see the buffet bins half empty and without restocking over the course of the day. evening… the restaurant was certainly not full, but despite everything and given the concept of the establishment, I think that the least would still be to be able to provide an adequate stock and choice to the customers present. There were also errors in sauces and cooking, this being one of the points that I had noted during a previous visit and which had left me with a mixed impression. Beyond the repeated error (and assuming that it happens and is not serious in itself...!) I am disappointed to see that the server preferred to question my observation rather than simply remedy it. He ended up doing so after a brief negotiation… Needless to say, all these little things, still not serious in themselves, do not help to have a good time and also do not make you want to give this establishment a third change. I also agree with other opinions which note that the quality has actually deteriorated over time. Indeed, I remember my very first visit where we ate very well and where we found the choice and variety promised by the establishment. It’s a shame because I still think the concept has potential. Well stocked buffet, meats, vegetables, fish. Great choice also for starters and salad. And the different cooking options offered allow for variety (wok, grill, calzone-style pasta, etc.).

A service and quality which has greatly deteriorated over the years... Too bad it was a great place before, good and very original. Now it's a disaster in every way. The blonde lady who serves is just as unfriendly as possible, she doesn't bring the drinks menu, doesn't explain the different salts, you can see that she's just bothered by being there. Same in the kitchen, the gentleman no longer even knows the places related to the number, so twice during the evening we had someone else's meal. (yet we just had to be 10 max) And when we pointed this out, we just got yelled at by the cook. The choice of products is not good either, before there was everything, verines and great things. Now there are 3 salads for the starter and nothing else. It’s supposed to be a restaurant where the customer chooses what they want, so yes they choose what they want, but from the leftovers. Out of 7 sauces on the menu, only 3 remained!!!! It's a shame. For the prices it is unfortunately no longer worth going there…. 260 francs for 4! We should have taken advantage even more at the start of the opening.

The atmosphere is pleasant, however there is clearly a lack of information on sauces and cooking. It was pretty good despite several kitchen errors (e.g. sauce, lack of cooking, etc.) In short, it's nice but you can do it cheaper and better at home but it's still a restaurant to try once.

Very good restaurant, friendly staff and good atmosphere. However, there is a lack of information on the foods to choose and the sauces, labels with information would be welcome. 😁 My partner and I asked for "grill" cooking, for me perfect but for my partner the preparation was not grilled at all and this several times even after complaint, the sauce served was also not the right one on several occasions .

The prices are too high. A carton of beer only costs 2.5dl. A bar has 3dl, if you depend on the 0.5dl then you are doing something wrong.

Original way of cooking food, especially in crosto...

Good food, however that evening there was very little choice and only 3 sauces out of all those indicated. But we ate very well and the service was good and the employees very courteous. I recommend but go there before 8:00 p.m. to have a choice.

I don't even know where to start, no chair for baby, the waitress (blonde around 55-60 years old) already has her retired smile and is friendly, we don't even talk about it.... I had come there At around 9 years old I was disappointed, I told myself that over the years we would improve....apparently not. pay 40fr to eat 2 meals, one of which we forgot my dish arriving 10x overcooked, almost inedible because it was so cooked and lasted, the 2nd time my chicken was not cooked and still raw inside. the only thing good is the dessert (Toblerone mousse) pay 240 fr for 4 adults and 1 child, for having poor service, one thing is for sure I won't come back... the only person who was very nice is the young assistant waiter, he doesn't speak French but at least he takes the trouble and smiles...

After 2 good experiences quite disappointed on my 3rd. Messed up my order (soup vs wok), food was not good, and my $12 cocktail had no alcohol in it. My dining partner had a similar comment, not horrible but definitely not good.

Bosses extraordinary in their generosity. A welcoming team. The products also come from their garden. Healthy, spicy dishes to suit everyone, as well as 5 cooking methods. A magnificent place by the water, in summer and winter. Live concert evenings. Bravo to you for this beautiful energy!

Delicious exceptional establishment

Super good restaurant for vegans and vegetarians, or people who like to eat healthy. Very friendly team and terrace on Lake Neuchâtel. I ate there at the end of October 2022. They have a format a bit like "the Mongolian table" where you choose the ingredients you want and the chef prepares them with the sauce you choose. We had the starter plus the main course and it was really good and a pleasant discovery. But if you are with a vegan or you are yourself, really an address to keep for visits to the charming town of Neuchâtel. Good prices too. Great address for vegans and vegetarians, or mixed groups, as there is something for everyone. Lovely terrace, very helpful and efficient staff. We stumbled onto this place right on the lake of Neuchâtel and we were really pleased and surprised by it. We had the starter buffet plus the main course buffet and it was really delicious, and healthy. A kind of "Mongolian Table" affair where you choose the ingredients and how you wish them prepared with various sauce choices too. Good prices as well.

We celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary at Vio restaurant. The concept is original. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. Small downside for the noise. We should speak loudly to understand each other. Let's start again 👌🏼

Pleasant lunch with superb view of the lake, La Maladiere car park nearby. Cold buffet concept and products to be cooked by the kitchens (Wok or Plancha). Pleasant service but quite cramped place given the number of customers present. Satisfactory results all the same, to be recommended.

There is something for everyone 😊 Very kind and smiling waitresses and the owner of extraordinary kindness! Without forgetting the magnificent setting…by the lake…go there with your eyes closed.

Magnificent view of the lake and mountains in good weather. The restaurant is more like an all-you-can-eat restaurant with buffets, although the atmosphere is quite nice and the food is very good. There is a 20% discount for students. Unfortunately there are many negative points: - there were many flies in our wine - cocktails were served in plastic glasses and with plastic straws - one of the cooks was very unfriendly when requesting a special diet - it was way too hot in the restaurant to the point that we had to go out to cool down - the buffet was sometimes a little empty and there were no longer all the sauces available at 8 p.m. - we were not all served at the same time and the plates were cleared before we had all finished eating - the menu cards were dirty with old stains - the atmosphere becomes very noisy even with few customers

Very nice restaurant, with an affordable price and a very original concept! The setting is absolutely fabulous (at the foot of Lake Neuchatel - you feel like you're dining on the deck of a boat!). The ingredients are varied and of good quality, there is something for all tastes and diets. The Maladière car park, located just 100m away, allows easy access by car.

Came to eat with my girlfriend on a Friday evening. Super pretty setting with magnificent view of the lake. On the other hand, I would not recommend eating there for the following reasons: - waitress who pushes you to take the menu as you wish but from 8:30 p.m. there is already nothing left at the starter buffet, despite them telling you that it will be re-filled. - restricted and simple choice of entries - choice of ingredients for their very basic hot dish, despite the different cooking methods and sauces offered. The value for money is not there.

Brilliant concept and delicious food, very friendly staff, only small downside if you go on a Monday you may be missing quite a few ingredients given that it is closed on Tuesday, I understand and validate that this is to avoid waste but as customer it's a little frustrating when 20% of the ingredients/sauces of choice are missing. But apart from this little detail otherwise it's really great! I will return with pleasure and fully recommend this establishment.

Tout d'abord, les entrées du buffet étaient très bonnes. Cela laissait déjà présager de bonnes choses, mais cela n'a malheureusement pas été le cas. Misunderstandings followed by a reproachful tone directed at the guests that they now have to throw away the food. So really bad. We were also accused of having taken someone from the appetizer buffet without paying, which was a blatant lie. Definitely the last time.

Disappointed… Although the service was far from friendly and helpful, our evening didn't start off too badly. A few minutes later, the CATASTROPHE! The cooks managed to put a table number plaque in my wrap, which I only discovered when I cut it in half. (I’ll let you imagine the danger if I had bitten into it directly!) When I called the waiter to show him this DISASTER, he started laughing in my face... In addition, the “at will” formula is not respected! Foods such as beef and salmon have the unfortunate tendency to go out of stock sooner than expected. The quality of the food is nevertheless not that bad, but for this price you would expect much better service.

More an all you can eat restaurant instead of a fancy lifestyle restaurant. The food was good but still a bit pricy if you don't go for the all you can eat option which we didn't. The buffet itself isn't that well organized. I think it's okay to eat there but I probabely woudn't go again. VEGETERIAN OPTION available.
