Very welcome as a guest, pampering program. Tables a bit close, loud guests, wasn't very comfortable.

We spent our first evening of the new year in the orphanage. The menu leaves nothing to be desired, and the service also verbally recommended two dishes to us! We chose these two main courses and we were not disappointed! Very friendly service! Gladly again!!!

A really great Italian restaurant! We ate fantastically and were well served. The ambience in this time-honored house is also very inviting. We'd love to come back when we're in Thun.

At lunch there is only a very small selection with special ingredients, there is no ordinary pasta with a simple sauce!

Although we otherwise prefer independent, innovative restaurants, it was a stroke of luck that we were stranded in the orphanage. Our young host (perhaps even a learner) looked after us excellently throughout the evening and also gave us advice. The cuisine was also special and excellent. Gladly again!

The food was very tasty! We made a reservation at 8 p.m. and the waiter apparently wanted to get off work soon, which was unfortunately very noticeable. Music was turned off and they were loudly watching videos on their cell phones. I hadn't really finished eating yet and they were already trying to clear away. It was all very stressful and we couldn't really enjoy the evening, which was a shame!

Beautiful, well-kept restaurant with a view of the Aare River. Well-trained waiters who are quick and attentive. Of the 4 dishes, 3 were very convincing. There is still room for improvement in the risotto. That's why only 4 stars for the food. 3 of the 4 open wines were very good. The white Pinot Grigio is only for people who like very light wine.

The garden seating area is comfortable. The service is prompt and quick. I ordered an entrecote medium with vegetables. Unfortunately the plate was not attractive to the eye. Entrecote was bien cuir/too dry. Lollo Rosso too big and bitter, champions and mushrooms as if warmed up. The waiter's recommendation for the wine. Exquisite!

Went to the garden pub on the chance, with the intention of eating. First we ordered mineral water and looked at the wine and menu list. We ordered a bottle of Monte Piazzo Valpolicella and a mixed salad. My wife ordered Involtini di pollo with risotto, I ordered Lombata di capriolo, with corn slices and vegetables. Both menus were good, although my wife's risotto wasn't as "stuffy" as expected. In her opinion, she had often had better risotto. The service was friendly and unobtrusive, which was very pleasant for us.

Food was alright and one of the waiters who served us was very friendly. However, we found a piece of plastic within one of the dishes and ask one of the waitresses to inform the kitchen. No one came back and gave any sort of apology regarding this until we ask for our bill. What we got was a rough and insincere apology that made us think that having plastic in our dish was some sort of joke. Didn't get to finish the dish that's been taken away and still have to pay for that within the bill. Honestly, in most cases, this is absolutely unacceptable.

In a splendid setting, next to the wooden bridge, eat excellent food surrounded by surfers in central Switzerland. It seems incredible but trust me, it's true!!

A wonderful discovery! We were tourists for a day and were looking for where to spend a quiet evening with good food. After passing several restaurants, I was attracted by the dishes I saw on diners' tables. My intuition wasn't wrong. We were welcomed very well by the director, who was very amiable, friendly and kind, as was the rest of the staff, quick, attentive and effective. What to say about Chef Francesco's cuisine, thank you thank you thank you.... you have stolen my gastronomic heart. You know that feeling when you eat at an Italian restaurant abroad and say "FINALLY". EVERYTHING EXQUISITE... But the Nerano 100 cum laude.

Very good food. The service from a very young waiter I have to say is the best. The rest of the waiters don't work much, they leave everything to the young man. I asked a more senior waiter if I could sit at a table by the river when one became free and he said no, one would be reserved. Shortly after, two were free, my partner and I had not even started eating and instead of asking us if we would like to move to one of those tables, he gave one of the ones that were free next to the river to the first customers who appeared there. . Regarding the service I can only highlight the young waiter who is very dedicated and polite and the chef who cooks wonderfully.

Friendly staff and delicious food

I was completely impressed by the Waisenhaus restaurant! As soon as I entered the historic building, I was fascinated by the elegant furnishings, which create a unique atmosphere. The service in the restaurant was not only extremely friendly, but also extremely professional. You immediately felt welcome and well looked after. But the real highlight was undoubtedly the food. The selection of dishes was impressive and every single dish was a true taste experience. It was clear to see that a lot of emphasis is placed on fresh and high-quality ingredients. Another plus point is the fantastic location directly on the Aare. The ambience of the restaurant is further enhanced by the picturesque view and creates an inviting and relaxed atmosphere. All in all, I can only warmly recommend the Waisenhaus restaurant. Anyone looking for a first-class dining experience will definitely not be disappointed here. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

We were with you this afternoon with our two children (9 and 10 years old). We were thrilled by the very courteous and at the same time warm service, the wonderful food and the generous offer “per bambini”. Great teamwork in a very nice atmosphere. Thank you very much.

Overall, in terms of cuisine, it's not bad without being transcendent either. On the other hand, in terms of service, there is something to complain about, the first waiter who welcomed us, was almost reluctant to receive us (2 people) at 8 p.m. on a Thursday evening in the city center.... In addition, the card is not offered in French in a country where French is the second language. Then we had a dish error compared to our order. To finish at 9:20 p.m. we want a dessert so that we can be told that the kitchens are closed at 9:20 p.m.... While desserts at the table right next to us are served within the next minute. Scandalous. Then the waiter comes to ask us if we have a wish since the kitchens are closed, we ask for a grappa which will be paid at the maximum price of 13.50 chf... To conclude, I would say restaurant to avoid if you are passing through.

Went out to eat with my parents at the orphanage yesterday, the food was great! But what impressed the waiter Aladin the most was his friendly service. His expertise in wine selection, courteousness and friendliness were simply excellent. We recommend.

A good place, but there is a waiter with disgusting blond hair who has a rude way of dealing. I was hoping to repeat the visit several times, but after his bad treatment, it became impossible.

He was making very unpleasant and disturbing jokes and his working skills were well below the required standard. An excellent restaurant with excellent cuisine and a gorgeous view of our beautiful city. Very friendly, communicative and highly qualified staff. I recommend both for a sparkling glass on a hot summer day, and for an unforgettable dinner with family or friends.

Pros: View and food Cons: the service is appalling. One of the servers was extremely aggressive toward us. We felt attacked, and we weren't the only ones. A couple with their baby left angrily because of this server. The other server did half a job. He brought the antipasto to share without plates to share. This place needs some serious training and a proper manager.

So I was here for drinks with a dear friend of mine located in the heart of Thun. It's a great place to sit outside on a summer evening. The service is good and the folks are friendly. I'm sure they have more to offer than I can talk about here.

Service very nice and friendly Garden tables are all shaded, great. The lemon risotto was very tasty, but unfortunately not lemony enough. But otherwise super tasty and a large portion. Gladly again.

Bindella - if you go to a "Bindella" (e.g. Santa Lucia ZH-Oerlikon), you can't go wrong. Also here in Thun, best location, fine ambience, fine cuisine and wines. I enjoy being there, I know what to expect, whether in Zurich or here in Thun.

After a cozy evening for the four of us, we wanted to have a good glass of wine. Restaurant almost empty! However, we were put in the farthest corner of the restaurant with a flimsy reason. No good host behaves like that, shameful. Once and never again. The expensive wine was fine.

The food is still fresh and very good. The service is friendly and charming. Only the background noise can be a bit too loud for someone who prefers a quiet place.
