The variety is a bit underwhelming if you don't show up early. The prices are ok. We paid 5.5chf for a slice of quiche, a chocolate filled pastry and a slice of creamy cake

Be sure to try the real chestnut puree. They say there is no chestnut dessert that beats babamba. If it's with him, I'll think about it. The taste of chestnuts is really strong

Great concept. Don't throw away food, sell it. The slogan “fresh from yesterday” convinced us. The shop is in the basement right next to C&A and there are sandwiches, cakes and drinks on the left and a small food market on the right. Simply great. We had a piece of quiche, a baguette, two strawberry tarts and two drinks for about €15, which was simply great and saved food at the same time - that's the concept of the shop. Stay tuned, you're doing the right thing!

I found this place by accident. Easy to miss if you are walking through the arches. Descend the stairs and you'll find a shop/cafe selling "fresh from yesterday" food including sandwiches, tarts and cakes. Prices are VERY cheap (for Switzerland) and I'd recommend this for anyone on a tight budget. These waste warriors save tonnes of food from being thrown out.

Given the beautiful day we wanted to get some sweet and savory food to eat on the benches in the nearby park. We found this PERFECT place to buy everything. Savory pies, sandwiches, desserts. And then it's cheap. It's difficult to spend little in Switzerland, but here you can. Very kind staff.

Great facility. Small, clean shop with a wide selection... of course the goods aren't always a feast for the eyes in detail, but they're always the same as if I'd forgotten them at home, the taste and feel are completely ok. No compromise. The vegetable shop next to it is also a sensation. Great goods... what a broken system we have that prevents such goods from being sold 'normally' in all stores.

I think the concept of selling baked goods from the previous day cheaper instead of throwing them away is great. The coffee is also good. The personnel is very friendly and courteous I regularly get my lunch and/or a dessert here when I'm out and about in the city center.

The Äss Bar is a shop that always has something good for bread and dessert. The whole thing is simple in terms of presentation but still very good. The saleswomen are also all very nice and helpful.

Great concept and lots of choice (especially before lunch) at reasonable prices. The employees are usually very friendly, helpful and confident in their work. However, today an employee served me who seemed very unmotivated. He couldn't really give any information about the baked goods, took a long time to calculate a small amount and I felt more like an inconvenience.

Hidden down in the cellar, this concept was a pleasant surprise. Yesterday’s bakery food sold at 2F -3F! Rolls, slices, salads, sweets and breads. Be quick because by lunch the selection limited and Mondays are almost non existent. Cheap way to get a great feed- backpackers note this on your list!
